Not at all jealous. Adventure is necessary, but not a reality for many of us. Living vicariously through you guys. Thanks for the trip!
You have shown an excellent video answering the age old question...'Why do you camp, off-road, hike, etc?' To experience what you have shared with us. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
The horizon to horizon rainbow over your camp is the money shot. Simply sublime.
WHOA!!!!! THANKS for the show with the storm, it was EPIC and BEAUTIFUL 😎👋💯
Got to love the Moab area. 😁Adventure around every corner.
Epic! Beautiful storm and rainbows.
Greetings from SLC, UT. Thank you for being kind and respectful in the Moab area. Storms are beautiful, but high ridges may not be the best place to watch storms (electrical). Thank you for not camping in the washes and showing viewers what happens during flash floods. Nice videos. Tread lightly my friends.
That storm cell was amazing. I live in Utah and don’t come down to Moab enough. Great video.
GOALS.
12 mins in that storm looks Amazing! Scary but Amazing!
Wow! So epic! The rainbow shot was awesome!
Incredible.. love it down there can't wait to go back next year 🙌
Man I miss Moab! Went for the first time a few weeks ago. Drove all the way from Orlando Florida. Visited family in Colorado, hit Moab, then our last adventure was a cabin in the Missouri woods. Can’t beat Moab tho!!
I spent a summer working in Moab, such a wonderful place.
Beautiful country. Great content thanks Overland Bound! G'day from Australia!
That was an awesome storm to see. Thanks for sharing.
That rainbow was amazing! It rivals one we saw in Hawaii last month, never seen rainbows as beautiful in my life, great camera work!!
Awesome trip !
Outstanding footage 💯👍🥇 Thanks for sharing 👏
"Theres a storm coming, but hopefully not at us" *It Is* Cracked me up!
Hahaha!
Hey Mikey, I really enjoyed the video and the double rainbow was icing on the skyline. Cheers, Mate.
What an incredible rainbow... almost a double. so cool.
Long Canyon road is in exceptional condition in this video...often there are severe obstacles depending on weather and numbers of uphill drivers. Periodically it will get filled in...and then it erodes until its nearly undrivable even for large modified vehicles..and then get fixed again. It is maybe the most dynamic road in the Moab desert...so don't expect it to be like that everytime.
Great views of the incoming storm - I bet some weather people would be interested in your footage.
Incredible rainbow! Epic trip.
Wow, outstanding
Excellent 5stars ; fantastic rainbow
Stunning end to the storm!
That storm...that's called a convergence or similar. Probably a high and low pressure system (or hot and cold system) meeting up. Those are dangerous. Especially in the desert (for flooding) and out in the ocean (causing high sea states).
Beautiful area. Those trails are certainly on my to do list.
Pretty cool trip
The lightnings are a show apart. I love storms, but I completely understand the concern. Still it's nature's more violent side and it's no less beautifull. The treat at the end of it is just perfect
Incredible! This is what it is like
to be alive, to be in Overlander!
Do not disagree!
@@OverlandBound hello, love your build and your channel, thinking of getting my own land cruiser 80 series.. can I ask fully loaded like your truck, how much your mpg is?
@@sergiolozano6205 it’s about 11 MPG. Great rig. Good luck!
Looks like a great adventure. Thanks for sharing. Just got back from a day of exploring in the mountains with my son. Getting out is time well spent. I’ll check out the app, looks cool.
Great video
I've been there done that wife and I and four of our friends used to go four wheeling in Moab . And we got in a flash flood we sat for three or four hours on high ground we had water all around us in five jeeps
Scary!
That is the gnarliest cloud ive ever seen. ive lived through many many hurricanes and this looks scarier.
interestingly ... the second rainbow in the double rainbow ... the colors are inverted, like it's a reflection of the one below it.... very cool
Ya know.....I hardly ever see you guys pack rocks and smooth out some of the transitions like Mr. Mike was dealing with in the Raptor. It does help keep parts attached sometimes , lol.
Yay!
I’d enjoy seeing you guys do some trails that push the limits of your builds. Maybe leave the Raptor behind for that one.
I read, "I want to see you break your build for the RUclips!" :D :D :D
😢
Really enjoyed your video! Great footage man! We actually had planned to hit those two trails last year, didn’t have the time to do so, maybe next year! Consider a new subscriber here 👋🏽 definitely gonna check out that app as well!
Awesome! Really appreciate that. Feel free to reach out to me in the app - I am Michael and you can DM me that way in the slide out menu "Messages". Would love to get your feedback, even unlock a few things for you to try out the off grid stuff. Stay safe out there - see you on the trail!
I was just there, same time as you. I took chicken corners tho.
Best camp with a portable electric fence in bear country. Lightest is 2.4 lbs. Small kit for huge peace of mind
I watched a lot of your videos but that is the craziest most beautiful and insane video that I've seen you make rainbows thunderstorms I can't help but to think that back in the day of 1800 cowboys on horseback what the stories they could tell and here we are in modern day and your experiencing things and able to share with the world you are modern-day cowboys that are just not on horseback but riding around in Jeeps I think this is awesome
I have to say - that's exactly how I feel out there - and it all somehow feels more "real". Thank you for the comments.
On a steel horse we ride :)
When are we going to see a extensive update on those beautiful kings? About to install mine after waiting a whole year for them. Excited to see you made the same choice but feel like we haven’t heard enough about them… anyhow wonder video!!
Yup! Over a year for mine too.
"Hopefully it's not coming for us." Narrator, "It in fact was coming for them."
Hahahahahaha!
#truestory
😂😂😂
Man I’d love to do this kind of stuff in my 19 4Runner TRD Pro! But… I live in Ohio. Not much around here
That storm was awesome looking...... Another great video Michael. Question, what did you ( well the others with 1 tank), do for gas? How much was used?
That Raptor also has a lot of fuel. He’s got like a 500 mile range. Before dual tanks I gas cans on my swing out bumper.
Great vid, keep 'em coming. O.B. 30845
Its not adventure until something goes wrong....
We need morgan freeman narrating for times like this.
Awesome video as always. Michael I have to know, do you daily the 80?
Yes
What scenic area that is !
Indeed it is! Everywhere you look.
Awesome video! What are the specs on the roof rack on the FORD?
That is a Gobi roof rack
How long is the white trail?
Also, how demanding is it? We've done imogene pass in Colorado, how does this compare offroad wise?
White Rim is an easy route, but long. 96 miles about. Give yourself 3 days and relax.
Mother earth I should say 😆
How’d the Gazelle tent hold up during the storm? Did it stay dry inside?
Yes! It was great, but definitely anchor down!
🍻
Was this a flash flood prone area, where you set up camp?
Our camp site, no. The area, absolutely.
1st comment? Sweet video, as always!
what actual day in September was this?
Aug 21st
My sister is looking for a reliable shop to take her 3rd gen 4runner in the east bay. needs head gaskets and potentially other valve train and seal jobs. can you recommend any? Thanks so much!
Yup, I go to Top Shop Auto in Lafayette. Frank is a friend.
Frank is great!
Headed to Moab the first week of October 👍OB3140
Enjoy! Great time of year!
@@OverlandBound yes we went last year last week of September. This time going to Ouray for the first few days and head back through Moab for some awesomeness.
let your viewers know that over 400 miles will be closing soon if they dont send comments to the BLM by oct 21st.Go to sharethetrails or blue ribbon coalition to get the info why some of the best trails and roads in Utah will be closed very soon if you and your fellow off roaders dont get your comments in to the BLM pronto! This might have been your last time for your great adventure.
Already done and done.
