- Wes and I recently visited Paducah, Kentucky. Come and join me as I share with you several "Must Visit" stops if you are planning a trip! Paducah is a wonder place to visit! A quilter's paradise!
I have been in Paducah several times. Love the museum. I usually spend at least an hour or more just admiring the quilts.
It is really nice that they have traveling exhibits!!! So every time you go you should get to see new quilters and their quilts! Lucky you!
I went in to see the wooden quilt, looked around came out, asked where is the wooden quilt? I’d seen it, but thought it was a real quilt!! It is amazing!!
I'm glad you got to see it! It really is very neat! Did you see the stork? It was really neat too!!!
It’s in the lobby, on the right, near the restrooms.
I've been to the museum many times. That wood quilt is amazing!
When I drove into town yesterday, I was soooo tired I didn't even stop at Hancocks. The back room is where most of my money goes - usually on trims for junk journals LOLThat is usually a must stop for me. I didn't wander the downtown art district (usually a must walk for me). Their BBQ on the river in September is a must see but if you plan to attend, book your room WAY in advance.
Creative Blessings!
Kelly, What are trims for junk journals and what are junk journals? Sounds very interesting.
Grab lunch at Kirchoff’s downtown, not far from the quilt museum. Their bakery and deli are excellent.
Yes!!! We love the chess bars and we also ate at the deli!!!
The walnut cranberry bread is also incredible!!!
I live 20 minutes away from Paducah. Headed to Hancock’s today. Love that it’s in my backyard!
Lucky you!! Do you visit the quilt shows there?
I would be so broke if I lived anywhere near Hancock's.
I'm from Paducah! Glad you came!
We loved it!!!!
I went to Paducah last summer and spent quite a bit at Hancocks and the Sewing Emporium. I went to the quilt museum specifically for the Kaffe Fassett exhibit. Marilyn Badger’s Show Stopper exhibit was beautiful. For food, the Branch Out restaurant is awesome. I hit Broussard’s twice but ate at Branch Out 3 or 4 times. There is a cute little bead shop downtown. I found some nice beads for jewelry. I probably won’t get back to Paducah till 2025 but would love to make the trip again. And the flood wall… I walked the length of it and it’s an interesting visual history of Paducah. Found a Singer 301a in an antique store.
We ate at Broussard's! Wes really liked it!! I didn't see the Branch Out restaurant. I bet the Kaffe Fasset exhibit was amazing!!! We went to a couple of antique stores but I didn't make any purchases. Thanks for sharing!
I am from Leicestershire England and have been to Paducah 3 times. I too enjoy going to Hancocks but the highlight for me was the dogwood trail.
We missed the dogwood trail!!! I did not see any literature on it! Thanks for sharing so other can benefit!
If you ever go back to the area, there's a great quilt shop about 45 mins away from Paducah called Backyard Fabrics near Mayfield KY. It's definitely worth a visit!
I hope I get to go back some day!!!
Check the on line listing first. She's only open certain days
I have been there and it’s overwhelming beautiful. Gorgeous fabrics.
I totally agree!
As happy as I am that you are happy to have your fabrics, I’m one that helped build the business when it was full on fashion fabric! Unfortunately, for me and dozens of other fashion sewers, we must drive two-three hours. I wish we had a corner; I’ve almost begged. 🤣 I have tried mail order and I’m not happy with that.
Now, I do love a Tuscan Rose. I knit and Patty is so talented. I also love Muppin’s Sewing Emporium. I know she’s quilted related, but I’ve found ways to incorporate some quilt things into my clothing. Some of the fabric manipulation is similar to things I learned in heirloom sewing.
Hopefully, I’m not too much of a downer because what I love was taken away. I’m happy you enjoyed your trip.
Thank you! I'm so sorry you are struggling finding fashion fabrics! I had no idea that type of fabric is hard to find!
@@thesimplequilter7499 I think people see Walmart, JoAnns, and Hobby Lobby as our resources. If you want nice fashion fabrics you seek out the independently owned stores like you do for quilting.
I just wish that we had a corner at Hancock’s. Our sewing class at our local extension office is full of new fashion sewest. There are kids seeking out lessons but they have trouble finding decent fabrics. You know that the quality of fabric makes a difference in quilting❤️😊
I wish we could share that store. Nice dream🥰 I am happy you enjoyed your visit.
Fred & I "stopped" at Hancock of Paducah a couple of years ago when we drove from Western North Carolina to Iowa to rescue our 7 yr old Corgi. We are planning a cross country trip to Washington state in June and I have worked Paducah into our return trip. I DID NOT KNOW about the back room.. I will DEFINITELY find it this trip for sure. Interesting about the Flood walls murals. Along with the NQM, and a couple of the quilt shops you mentioned...makes me think it'll be more than an overnight stay! LOL THANK YOU for all the great info!
You are so welcome!! I hope you enjoy your trip there as much as Wes and I did!!!
I’ve been to Paducah when I was driving for Pascall Truck Lines. Back then I wasn’t a quilter. Readers Digest once said Murry Kentucky was #1 place to retire. The beauty there tells why. I’d love to revisit to see all that you’ve seen
Kentucky has a lot of beautiful country!!!
I live 30 min from Paducah !! Love old the town and the Riverfront
Me too! I could easily live in Paducah!!!
My hubby & I were fulltime RVers and in 2022 our 1st stop in Kentucky was Paducah (I was going to the Museum & Hancock of Paducah for fabrics!) But after only 3 days in town, we started looking for a permanent home! The town is charming & the people are warm and friendly. That was 2 years ago & I make sure I only go to Hancock no more than 3 times a year (or my budget will be blown every month!😂) Now I'm not a quilter, I love Hancock store for the beautiful fabrics to make blouses, dresses & such to wear (definitely one of a kind clothes)
The favorite restaurants we've grown to love are O'Charleys & Rafferty's and if your wanting mexican look for Mi Lindo Mexicano in the downtown (down along the market square area) for outdoor seating or their original location out on the southside area along Irving Cobb Rd.
Lucky you!!!! Have you loved living there as much as you thought you would?
Please try our local restaurants. Does, Freight House, Broussards and for homestyle cooking Big Ed's.
@@thesimplequilter7499Lived here all my life. Paducah is a lovely little town
Greetings!
Paducah? We flew thru with our RV a few years ago. All I remember is the quilt made of wood! Husband Sam calls “his” moter home a Quilt Mobile cuz my quilting takes up most of the space in the rig when I quilt. Poor boy.
I usually have to drag him into shops with me.
Though, I am hooked on quilting and shall not be deterred.
Meanwhile, I love your videos! The one with Wes, your son and their quilts were hysterical! Thanks for the laugh.😊
Thanks for sharing!! Great places to RV in Kentucky! Beautiful country!
We went to the New England quilt museum in Lowell, Massachusetts when we were in Boston on vacation and loved it. The museum was small and intimate and they had some beautiful things in the gift shop in the bottom. It was only three dollars to get in and I highly recommend it to anyone.
Sounds like an incredible museum! Thank you for sharing!
Hancock's of Paducah is my favorite on line store.
Mine too!!!
Never been there, sounds like a great place to visit even if you aren't a quilter. I do enjoy your videos. I am a wanna be quilter, I am just getting started, I have only done a few I sop quilty for
my great grandchildren. I am starting late in life. Now that i am retired I'm hoping to have more time, and do more. Seems like the hardest thing is to let other things go, and sit down at the sewing machine. I think I will try to find a friend who might like to check out Paducah.
You should! It's never to late to learn how to quilt!
I went to Paducah 32 years ago. I’d love to go back. I have done heirloom smocking when my daughter was little, those tools look fun.
I had to look up smocking and it looks really neat!!!
We had a group of ladies that went to Paducah every year for about 6 years in a row. We spent 4 days there. A fun girls time. We visited all the quilt shops and spent a lot of time just at the quilt show itself. I enjoyed visiting all the vendors. We spent a lot of money. 😍
I bet that was so much fun! It took Wes and I two days to get to Paducah! It was just too long of a trip for us to make in one day. Of course we stopped a lot on the way to see quilt shops and the Bass Pro Shop and it's museums! I bet you did spend a lot!!!!
Years ago my husband and I stopped in Paducah to visit the quilt museum. Sounds like it's time to re-visit. We also enjoy history. Would love to see the changes in Paducah as well as the new items in stores and the museum. Great video!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I think you will enjoy the museums in Paducah!
We are going to the Paducah quilt show in April so I found your video to be very timely. My husband is a railroad fan so we are going to be riding the Big South Fork railroad in Stearns.
How fun!!! There is a train there on display also and they have a railroad museum there. We didn’t get to visit it but it may be an option for your husband!
My husband and I “popped” into Hancock’s on our way to my son’s college graduation. It was the week after their “ quilt week”. As exhausted as the workers were, still very friendly. The store is massive! I ran out of time for the “back room”. Would love to go back for a “long weekend “
I would go back if I had a chance!!
I’ve been there twice for quilt show. Every quilter should go at least once. Great place.
I have not bee during a quilt show but I bet that is amazing also!!!
Thank you for the tip about the bison and elk drive. We are wrapping up a week in Paducah and it wasn’t even on our radar. It was well worth the drive and the $5 fee!
I'm so glad you went out there!!!
We've been there a few times. The museum is fantastic, and yes Hancock's can be overwhelming with all that fabric, precut, and kits. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Thank you! I'm so glad you have been able to go!!! It's just a neat place!
Went to Paducah last year with my 2 quilting friends. We visited about two weeks after the big quilt show. We went to the Natl Quilt Museum, which was ok. I didn’t realize the exhibits were all modern quilts. I didn’t get any inspiration from the exhibits. We also visited the flood wall murals, Muppin’s Sewing Emporium, took an afternoon to go drive through The Land Between the Lakes Area, wanted to go to the Tilghman House and Museum but it was closed, and Hancock’s of Paducah, of course. Hancock’s was a bit overwhelming, so we went back the next day to make sure we saw everything. I bought a lot of batik fabrics that were on clearance in the $4.99-$5.99 range, probably enough to make 4-5 oversized throws. Also bought a few layer cakes from the precut room. I do like their website, I’ve spent a lot of money there in the past 3 years, growing my fabric stash. I would like to go back and take in a few more museums and local restaurants next time.
I really really like Paducah and could go back again too!!! I like looking at all quilts and am amazed at how talented some quilters are!!! I have really cut back on spending in the past two years. It looks like I spent a bunch, but most of my fabric, like yours was under $6 a yard. I really am liking brights right now and I don't have many brights so I did buy a bit...I think I am done buying fabrics for awhile. Thanks for taking the time to share! I enjoy hearing from others!
I live in Kentucky, but have never been to Paducah, I live clear on the opposite side of the state. That wooden quilt is amazing to look at, lots of talented ppl in this world. I’m glad you got to go and enjoyed yourself so much..😊
We had to drive a long long ways also!!! Perhaps one day you will go! Kentucky is beautiful!!!
I got to go last year during the quilt show. Hancock's was a Little overwhelming. Loved the wooden quilt at the museum too.
That quilt is soooo cool!
Thanks, Michelle! I got to visit the annual wuilt show there many years ago and it was amazing! I could have spent all week there.
It really was so much fun to visit!!!
I live near Paducah! Love the quilt shops, my favs are Hancocks and Paper Pieces. We spend a lot of time in LBL, riding our horses @ Wranglers campground that has over 100 miles of trails. Lots to do in Western KY!
Wow! I think living in Kentucky would be awesome!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
No I haven’t been there but I have wanting to go.have a blessed day.
I hope you will get to go one day!
I’ll have to add Paducah to my bucket list!
It will be a great addition!!!!
Visited Paducah many years ago. Loved the stain glass windows. Visited historic down town, Hancock and many more wonderful places. Glad you had a great adventure.
Thanks for sharing!
A few of us took a bus trip to Paducah a few years ago and I remember spending a few hours in Hancock's...what a shop! The National Quilt Museum was amazing and they had a nice gift shop. Cheryl, the lady who owns Muppin, is from IL does teach some neat fabric manipulation and smocking techniques. Did you go to Global Artisans? I have shopped at their booth at quilt shows and they now have a store in Paducah. Great video, glad y'all had a good time.
No I was not aware of that shop but I wish I had been! Thanks for sharing!
We just pulled into Paducah an hour ago. This is my 2nd visit. Last time was spur-of-the-moment and I only visited the Museum, no shops. But this time quilt shops are .on the list. Thanks for the tips.
Have fun!
I’ve been but it was before I started quilting. Getting back there is on my list for this year 😊 thanks for sharing !
You are so welcome!
You really sell Paducah so well. I'd love to visit. Also love the bright colors you're into lately. Thanks for the videos.
Glad you like them! Thanks for taking the time to share!
You went to my neck of the woods. 😊 Wonderful to hear what is greatest here.
So much history there!!!
I like your channel. Yes I have been to Paducah 4 or 5 times. I went with friends to the quilt show a d had a blast shopping during quilt show week. Another time I went with family and spent more time around the flood wall. It's a great place to visit even if you don't quilt.
I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel! I really enjoyed both trips I have made to Paducah. Wes and I really enjoy museums so we both had fun! He really enjoys history also so he had stuff to enjoy also!
We live an hour away from Paducah. I have visited Hancock Fabrics many times along with Calico Country. Always find fabrics, layer cakes, charm packs and jelly rolls that I must purchase.
Wow! Lucky you!
Me and my cousin went to Paducah a few years ago. It's a trip we wanted to go on. We went to the quilt museum also. We went to Hancock's. Didn't get to stay long as it was almost closing time but we did have about an hour. Did some shopping.
I'm so glad you had the chance to go! Thanks for taking the time to share!
We have been there 3 times. It sounds like it has grown a lot I’m excited to get to go again in May. Thank you for updating me on things to do.
Oh my gosh!!! I hope you have so much fun!!!
Paducah is now on my list of places to visit. Thanks so much for sharing!
We really enjoyed it!
Oh Michelle this reminded me of how much I enjoyed Paducah. Thanks so much.
It is a great place to visit!
Glad you were able to get to Paducah. I live an hour and half away and besides the Quiltfest, I make it a point to visit with any crafting friends who are from out of town. The only two other places I'd suggest, are the Yeiser Art Center and the Global Artisans shop which has a lot of embroidery threads and supplies.
We almost went to the Yeiser Art Center! I wasn't aware of the shop you mentioned. Thank you so much for sharing!
My husband and I are going to Paducah tomorrow. This will be our first time going there. Thanks for the suggestions!
Oh my gosh!!! I am so excited for you!!! Enjoy!!!
Perfect video timing as I'll be in Paducah on the 17th of next month. It's my first trip there and I'm sew excited!
You will have so much fun!!!
Looks like a great trip!! I would love to go to Paducah one day, and you are a great ambassador.:) Enjoy sewing with your gorgeous purchases!:)
Thank you so much!
I’ve been to Paducah several times. A group my friends go there every year to the AQS quilt show in April. We go for the whole week. The first year that we went, there was a flood and the flood walls were in use…They are beautiful! The one place that you didn’t mention that we go to every year is to the Purple Toad Winery.
We did see the advertisements for that but decided not to go. Was it really neat?
I love Hancocks and Calico Country! A great place to eat is Raffertys across from Hancocks. Their crescent rolls are to die for!
Oh wow! Wish we had know about Rafferty's! We love to eat a good local restaurants when we travel! Thanks for watching and sharing!
@thesimplequilter7499 Raffertys is a chain. Please try our excellent local restaurants. Does, Freight House( she came in 2nd on Top Chief) Broussards, Big Eds (you won't leave hungry!)
Raffertys is a chain. They no longer bring free rolls to the table😢
You are sooooo lucky to have visited Paducah! I dream of going there.
I hope you get to go one day!
I’ve shopped at Handcocks online and would love to go there. The fabrics you purchased are gorgeous! I enjoyed seeing the stores very much.
I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! I enjoy hearing from other quilters!
I really need to plan a trip to visit there ❤ thanks for showing us!
It is a neat place to visit and we didn't even go when the quilt show was on!
We always meant to go to Paducah...but just did not make it before Roger's stroke and now he does not enjoy traveling at all. All the things you mentioned are things we like. Every single one. So, yes, I did enjoy hearing this.
One time on Simply Quilts Alex Anderson had a lady that did the pleats and showed how to manipulate them. It was interesting. I wish there was some place we could go watch the old episodes...they had such a lot of good content.
I'm so glad you enjoyed my video! Some quilt museums, like the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln Nebraska, have slide shows available for past exhibits. That may be an opportunity for you to see some amazing quilt exhibits without traveling.
I went to Paducah a few years ago during the big quilt show. They not only had venders in the main building but had this big long round hug tent filled with more venders. They called it the Bubble. I went downtown to Quilt In A Day store and because it was quilt week they had a big sale and I got jelly rolls half price. It took me three days to see things and that wasn’t enough.
That sounds like a lot of fun!!!! Huge crowds aren't my thing but I might want to go during quilt week some time! I know I would like to visit the Quilt Festival in Houston and Quilt Con some day! I'm sure the crowds are very large there!!!
@@thesimplequilter7499Paducah Quilt Week is very manageable as far as traffic is concerned. Everyone loves the Quilters!
Yes we locals call it the "Bubble". Lots of vendors and quilt show inside too. Also free programs everyday and they are very interesting
sounds like I need to go back there!!! Went during QuiltShow, so Hancock’s was packed and very depleted. Loved the murals along the river. Took trolley ride and original Cocoa Cola recipe was invented there!
We ate at a restaurant that is in the old Coca Cola plant. It was called the Mellow Mushroom. Pretty good pizza! I bet Hancock's was swamped during the quilt show. I have not been during a quilt show. The museums are closed some during the non-tourist season. We had to call for an appt to see the Lloyd Tilghman museum.
I don’t travel, so I always enjoy watching videos of quilt shops and other places. I’ve looked at the Hancock’s of Paducah website when I’m online fabric shopping, but I find the site very hard to navigate. There must be some search trick I can’t figure out.
The trick is to look at the sales section and check it frequently. You can narrow your search in the sales section. For example maybe you just are interested in Moda fabric and you can put that in. I have slowed down on buying fabrics but I used to check it 1-2 times a week. When you see what you want, order it then! They sale out quickly. I have gotten almost entire fabric lines on sale! I especially like Moda and I frequently narrow my search to Moda.
I have been wanting to go, but was wondering if it would be a trip my husband would enjoy. Thanks for the quick tour! I think he would definitely enjoy it!
So much history there!!! If he likes to fish, there are two huge lakes pretty close!!!
I need to go. It's a 2 and a half hour drive from me. I could get up early enough and be back home by dinner.
I guess I keep putting it off because it's close.
I live in a suburb of Nashville a little to the north.
We really enjoyed it!! We plan to go back very soon!!!
Never been to Paducah, but I've shopped several times with Hancock's online. Their fabrics are outstanding as is their customer service.
I agree!!!
Oh-oh. I'm hoping/planning to go to Paducah Quilt Show next year (even have the B&B picked out that I want to stay at). But after seeing this, and reading the comments, I realize I'm going to have to win the lottery before I go -- for all the fabric at the various places that I'm going to get and for the new house with a lot more room for all the fabric. 😉
Lol! I think you will have a great time!!! I am so happy for you!!
I hope to visit some day!
I hope you get to!!!
Thank you so much for sharing about Paducah! It is definitely on my bucket list :-) I also really like Hancocks online, they have excellent prices and a wonderful selection. Blessings on your day!😊
It is all quilt shop quality fabric too!!!
I would love to see a video of you making the pleated quilt!
I am anxious to try it but I have some many other things in line ahead of it!! Lol!!
I LIVE in Paducah. The Sewing Emporium is fantastic. Cheryl is a delight. She is live on Facebook and RUclips every Friday night at 7 pm Central Time. She also has an online store. A shop wonderful shop you missed was Backyard Fabrics in Mayfield. Mayfield is an hour outside of Paducah but it is WONDERFUL!!
Wow! I wish I had know it was there!!! I love visiting quilt shops! Every one is so different!!!
Oh I'm going to have to check that out! I'm in Symsonia, didn't know it was there! 🪡🧵❤
Just my luck , I lived in Eater Kentucky for 16 yrs and didn’t know I was going to to learn to quilt way after moving to Hollywood, Florida 😮so now I sure will make a trip 😁
It is worth the trip I think!!!
Christian Tours, based in Maiden NC, has a quilt tour. I've taken & it was quite fun & inspirational. After the Paducah museum time we were supposed to be done for the day but our tour director found Calico Country Quilt store & they were kind enough to stay open for us! It was a beautiful store & super friendly staff. The tour ended at the Missouri Quilt in Hamilton, MO. It really was a collection of quilt knitting vintage whimsical fabrics on one street & we had a chance to meet Jennifer in person. Check out Christian Tours.
@@roriemcfadden6097 Thanks so much for sharing! It sounds like a great trip!
I've never been to Paducah but I would love to someday visit Hancock's store - I really LOVE Hancock online and have been very satisfied with everything I've purchased from them. They always have a great selection of fabrics on sale, plus their prices on batting are very good. I'd love to see all the places you & Wes visited in Paducah - maybe someday I will :)
I hope you will be able to visit them also! I have been pleased with my online orders from Paducah as well. One thing I have learned when shopping on line there....if you see it and want it order it right then. They run out fast!!!!
I live in Paducah & have never been to the quilt museum. I’m going to make a point to go.
I think you will enjoy it!!!
It is free for McCracken County residents on Mondays. You will be amazed
Love your channel! I have been to Paducah twice! Love the museum! Have not had the had the opportunity to shop! Will definitely be planning to go back! There is a warehouse in Batesville, AR that would be a great place for you to visit. It is called Marshall’s Dry Goods. The owner designs fabrics and has his own factories! It is amazing! Please let me know if you plan to visit!
No plans for that but I would love to visit there!!
Marshall Dry Goods is on my list to visit…it’s about 6-7 hours away from me.
Thank you for your video
You are welcome
We go to Paducah for groceries and other stuff, but we've never been to this quilt museum. To think we live so close and have missed out on it. And I didn't even know Hancock's was still in business! Maybe it's not the same chain that I frequented in Salem, Oregon; it closed down many years ago. Time to make another trip to Paducah.
There was a Hancock’s Fabrics chain…different company/owners.
Oh my! Have you been to the quilt shows? I think they have may two a year! I know one is in April.
@@thesimplequilter7499 I haven't been to the quilt shows, but now that I know about them I'll try to make it. I won't make the April one because I'll be out of KY, but perhaps the next one.
@@jobabs I wondered if it might be a different company. They had TONS of fabrics at the one in Salem.
Great video tour…wish I lived closer 👩🏻🎨🐑
Me too!
You just listed all my favorite Paducah stops. Muppins is always fun.
I think I could easily live in Paducah!!! LOL!
Just booked a B&B for next year's quilt show. (Not the one I was looking at previously -- see my other comment -- but one that's a 5-minute walk because I'm not sure of the parking around the event.) But now I'm ready!!!!
Excellent!!! You will have so much fun!!! Enjoy!
They are building a quilt museum here in Kansas City KS! Not sure when.
Lucky you!!!
Really? Where? By the racetrack? I’m an hour from KCK
We will be driving from AZ to VA in our camper. Where did you camp in the area? Did you catch fish?
We did not camp there but looked for camping areas. We saw several state parks at Land Between the Lakes. I think that would be a great place to stay. I think it took us 30-40 minutes to get out there. We didn't fish this time but they have a lot of guides and a lot of undeveloped shoreline for fishing. We saw quite a bit of information online. The two lakes are Lake Barkley and Kentucky lake. Huge lakes!
@@thesimplequilter7499 Awesome thanks
THAT IS WHERE I AM FROM CADIZ KY. I HAVE BEEN THERE ALOT.
Such a wonderful place to visit! Such a beautiful place to live!!!
My husband and I have always wanted to go to paducah museum and quilt shops. What is a good time of the year to go threre? We would be traveling from Wisconsin. Can you recommend somewhere to stay? Thank you for great information!
We stayed at a wonderful airbnb in the historic district! It was amazing! It was the first airbnb we ever stayed at and it was wonderful! I think there are several in the historic district! I did not want to go during a quilt show so we went in mid March. some of the museums were not open then... that is not the tourist season. I have also been there in October and the fall color was amazing. Both times of year were great! Summer could be nice but I bet it would be more crowded. They have riverboat cruises that go there also! I am not big on huge crowds...
@@thesimplequilter7499 thank you so much!
We are going to Paducah in two weeks. This is a timely video. Now to get my husband to channel some patience as this does not interest him. I am going to check out these suggestions.
There is a lot of history there if he enjoys history!!
Eleanor Burns has a shop there.
Go eat at Patti's Settlement in Grand Rivers.
I think Eleanor Burn's Shop is closed. We shopped some at Patti's Settlement but we did not eat there. I did see advertisements for it. The food must be really good?
I live in Paducah 3 miles from Hancock’s which can be dangerous 🤪💵💵💵. Just starting to learn to quit plan on going to quilt show 2025
You are so right!!! Have fun and enjoy!
It is a pitty that the shipping costs and taxis are so high when I order fabric from the USA to The Netherlands. Prices of fabric in the USA are half the price from prices here in Europe.
I have heard several quilters from other countries say that...it sounds like the shipping cost more than the fabrics!
The sad thing is I live in Kentucky and have not been.
I hope you will get a chance to go some day!
You simply need to plan to go!
Flood of 1937 was so sad
Yes it was!!
