Good morning Rachel...😊 Cheri posted me a message to say you had featured my quilt on your video (sustainable quilt category) the brightly coloured houses. It's my first ever entry into a quilt show...so your praise was very much appreciated. Thank you. Enjoy your sewing.❤x
Your music is fine… it happens to be one of my favorites. If people don’t like it, they can always hit the mute!!! You do you Rachel!!! No worries girl! Keep up sharing!
Thank you for sharing the quilt show. My favorite is the winner who used the vintage fabric. I loved the soft colors. Your music is perfectly enjoyable. How people can complain about content they receive for free is beyond me. Keep doing what you do and no apologies are necessary. ❤
Oh I am so grateful that you take the time to film your trips to the quilt show. Now living a very long way away from Birmingham I have not been for some years and it’s just great to be able to see some of the fantastic work and goodies at the stalls. I have just come to associate the music with yourself and it makes me feel happy knowing you will be sharing so much of your wonderful creations. Thank you for your generosity ❤
Thank you for showing the amazing work in so many categories and age groups. So good to see young people involved. I’m pleased I didn’t have to judge or you would still be waiting. So many lovely bright quilts.❤️
Rachel, you have done a wonderful job!! Thank you for bringing The Festival of Quilts to us. I enjoyed watching all the videos you created and the inspiration from all the makers😊
Rachel, i always enjoy the music on your videos. It is a happy blend that is just like you. Don’t change a thing!!! Loved the trip thru the competition quilts. It was grand to see how different they are from the US and quite the same! Quilters are such lovely thoughtful people, especially you dear girl. Jean Colorado USA
I only came across you today. The last time I went yo the Festival of Quilts was 2019, this video was perfect in length and how many quilt you managed to show. My favourite was the last one but I also liked Helen Howes colourful one, I have been to several of her classes which are not for the faint hearted as she keeps you going. Thanks again.
Thank You for taking us to this show. I attended this show many years ago and it’s Fantastic, pity I’m so far away. As for the first video I thought the Music was fine, I was too busy taking in all the stands and displays that you were filming . I love the fact that you take the time to take us on your quilting travels and journey it’s Very Much Appreciated ❤🇦🇺
Wow! So many talented people! I love their passion for beauty. Thank you for taking us along with you! I hope you had so much fun and gathered great amounts of inspiration. 😊
Thank you for taking the time to show off all these incredible quilts, section by section - it was so interesting. The quality of the work is just amazing & the ‘best in show’ quilt was just absolutely beautiful. So many talented people.😊
Another great video. When you can't get to exhibitions and shows yourself it is great to be able to see such inspiring quilts. And the music in your videos is fine.
Thank you so much! I love watching your videos, you are a beautiful person, with a gorgeous smile, and I didn't even notice the music yesterday, although when I realized you weren't talking, I just turned it down. I really appreciate you telling us about the quilts, also; I saw another video, but there were no descriptions. So thank you!
I will need to watch this video again. The quilts at this show just take your breath away!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us and the time that it took you to do this video. I truly appreciate it. P.S. that pink dress you are wearing looks so beautiful on you. Pink is definitely your color in more ways than just quilting!😊. I meant to add that I prefer the videos without any music. That allows a person to focus on what is on the video and listen to anything you say. I wish there was never any music on any videos!
Rachel, you are a true treasure and I really felt for you when you had to stand up to the few who don't 'get' RUclips's way of working. You're presentation was so informative and well covered. Thank you so much. 😊
I loved yesterday's video and didn't even notice the music. It's such a shame that people get upset about the silliest things. Loved today's video too, weren't they all amazing and inspirational. So glad enjoyed day 2.
Really enjoyed your video im really going to try get there nx year there are so many talented people such beautiful quilts thank you for taking your time to show us🎉
Thank you so much for letting us see these incredible quilts. The talent out there is awe inspiring. The music didn’t bother me in your previous video.
Love this video and your previous one. Thank you so much for taking time out to video the Festival of Quilts. It is very much appreciated. I didn’t notice the music on your previous video, I just enjoyed you taking me on a tour of the FoQs. Thank you xx
Rachel, thank you so much for taking the time to make this wonderful video!!! I live so far away from any quilt shows now, so I appreciate you doing this for us, your subscribers!!! There are so many amazing quilts in that exhibit - so much talent to enjoy! I will be watching it a number of times to really appreciate them all. 😊 Wishing you all the best from Costa Rica 🌴🪴🌳🍃 Super lush and so beautiful, but no quilts 😢😉💚💙
You are so sweet Rachel. I don’t think many of us were irritated about the music. The lovely fabrics from different sellers were so captivating. I didn’t care about any kind of music. I’d love to go to a quilt show with you someday!
ohhh such a shame , we couldnt see all the quilts, just amazing, and i could not pick one , i thought, was the bested, maybe, another time, you could break it up into blocks, not that im criticising, just, envious, you got to see all. thanks again, From over the sea and standing on my head , New Zealand , southland .
I wondered if there was a program as when i saw a label or 2 there was only the name of the quilt and maker. I enjoy the reading or knowing the story. Thanks Rachel.
You can buy a show guide which includes details of all the quilts and a little information provided by the maker. It was very interesting to read a little more about them.
Thank you for sharing all the wonderful quilts today. I didn’t find the music on yesterday’s video a problem, I just turned the volume down😂. Your apology was so gracious when your content is free for us to watch. (And enjoy so much)
Hi Rachel. I’m really enjoying your videos. It’s been a long time since I quilted and now I wonder why. You’ve probably heard this before, but many of the Quilt shows I go to in the states have clothespins attached to the side of the quilt. This allows the onlookers to hold something so that they may see the back of the quilt without damaging the quilt with fingerprints, etc…
Was really lovely to meet you yesterday at FOQ. I didn't get to see all the quilts as I ran out of time but loved my first visit and will definitely be going next year. Thank you for all your inspiring videos 😊
Interesting, the music didn't bother me at all. Didn't even think that it might be an issue. Really enjoyed the video. Don't get too hung up on criticism. You will never be able to please everyone. You do you!
Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing all the lovely quilts. The sustainable quilt with the houses on it is by Diane. I watch her RUclips channel ‘Patchwork quilts with Diane’. Looking forward to your haul video 😎
Thank you Rachel. You showed my quilt and did a wee talk about it. It was so lovely to see and hear someone else’s thoughts on it. Hope you are okay that I shared it to my business page.
thank you, I live in New Zealand , if you hadnt put up this, there would have been no way i see it, so, again thank you, People, if you think you can do something better , why are you watching , put your own ? out there, the music not right , like she said , if you dont like it, turn your sound down ,and play your own. what is the matter with people , gone are the days, when someone id their best, and people didnt grrrr about ever little thing, Your doing well , sweety,{ i. hope you dont mind me saying sweety} , anyway , im going to sit back , watch this and go, wow ,id never be able to do half , of any of those, keep up the good work, and thank you for showing me the amazing Quilts, Be kind people , you hard words maybe the last thing someone hears, or you say, do you want to be remember, for your unkindness? or encouragement?
Your accent is so lovely and my hearing is not great so I appreciate having no background music which would make it harder to understand what you’re saying. Thank you for taking us along with you to the show! Great video!
Thank you again Rachel. I missed some of the quilts you showed! Just so many fabulous quilts and very talented people. You have nothing to apologise about with your music choice. As others have said, turn down the volume if it’s not to your taste! ❤
Another friendly challenge to subscribers and viewers: I just bought Rachel some coffees. Will you join me in supporting her channel via the ko-fi link above in her video description notes so she can continue to bring us new videos (and help offset the cost of her recent haul that I'm sure we'll soon get to see)?😄The process is easy and quick; ko-fi accepts Paypal as one of its payment methods. You can make a one-time payment or monthly payments. Blessings to all!
You are so kind, thank you very much for the coffees.. I can offset it against the coffees I brought for shopping energy because by 2pm me and my sister were low on energy, but a coffee and cake sorted us out 🤣
It was lovely to meet you yesterday and have a quick chat. So strange for me to think 'oh, there's Rachel and you don't know me from Adam!' 😂. You mentioned there was very little in the way of top stitching or quilting on the antique coverlets..... apparently ladies of that period had plenty of time to sew and create these pieces of work but it was deemed' beneath them' to do the quilting and would either get a member of their household staff to do it or pay someone else to. I look forward to seeing your haul video. ☺️
Thanks for the tag along again! Finally, a portrait quilt in best of show -- and it has a humanitarian message! As to the music issue: So many people don't realize the amount of work and time that goes into video production, not to mention the skills and creativity used in relation to what is filmed, angles of filming, editing choices, and music selection (and as you said the copyright issues involved). First you have to film yourself "doing the thing," then "edit the thing," then "render the thing," then "upload the thing." Rendering and uploading a video takes time -- the longer the video the longer the rendering and uploading -- and during this time you can't use your computer or else 1) it could prolong the process or ruin the video, and 2) it could overheat and/or damage your computer. I am astonished anyone would complain about the music! You should refund them ... oh wait ... your videos are FREE and are made with your FREE time! Blessings, Rachel.
Good morning Rachel...😊 Cheri posted me a message to say you had featured my quilt on your video (sustainable quilt category) the brightly coloured houses. It's my first ever entry into a quilt show...so your praise was very much appreciated. Thank you. Enjoy your sewing.❤x

You do you Rachel!!! No worries girl! Keep up sharing!

I have no word to express all the pleasure I had in looking at your video. Thank you so much Rachel for sharing all these beauties
Thank you for sharing the quilt show. My favorite is the winner who used the vintage fabric. I loved the soft colors.
Your music is perfectly enjoyable. How people can complain about content they receive for free is beyond me. Keep doing what you do and no apologies are necessary. ❤

You can buy a show guide which includes details of all the quilts and a little information provided by the maker. It was very interesting to read a little more about them.
Went to my first quilt show 2 weeks ago since you inspired me last year. Not nearly this nice but still showcased the most amazing talent. In the US

Rachel, great video. The method of appliqué flowers is called Broderie Perse.
You can look up the technique 😊
I will do, thank you!
Thank you.

It was so nice to meet you too Claire. Oh way too much 🤣 I am going to share my haul on Wednesday

Patchwork quilts with Diane is the I believe the owner of the sustainable quilt with house you pointed out. She's logged about it!!
I'll have to have a look at her work 💕
