I loved it all but the murals are a snapshot into the past & present ... beatiful. How lovely to have your Mom in it and honouring the work & contribution she made in her day👏💖🤗
I'd be interested in exploring the railroad section., being a bit of a train buff myself, and would love to take the river walk. Ax throwing bars are in my area too but I find the combination of activities odd: Partaking in libations while tossing a wood chopping tool strike me as a risky form of entertainment. Mixing alcohol with a sharp edged object then calling it "fun"....Hmmm.....WHAT could possibly go wrong?
I totally thought of you the other day! Randomly saw an old video of a young Billy Ray Cyrus, where one of his tour dates was in Paducah, KY. So of course I thought, “Hey, that’s where Renee, Randy, Maxxi, Pollux, and Cravin’ the Curls are!” (Would definitely not have recognized it before I started watching your videos…) Thanks for showing us the charming beauty of your downtown, what a cool place! (Where, apparently, you can even motorcycle underwater, hehe ;P)
Paducah Chamber Of Commerce should hire you! What a nice city! Those murals on the river wall are incredible, and you seem to be quite knowledgeable about them. Date night with Randy was fun, but this is even better. Thanks for doing this!
Paducah seems a lovely place, with that little town atmosphere (I yearn for that, it must be delighful! ). The old town streets are beautiful, artsy, leafy, with a hipsterish air to them. Thanks for the trip, Renee!
OMG, your town is way too cool. It has that quaint cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The murals look like photos incredible that they are hand painted, amazing artwork. Where I grew up in Montreal the train tracks were up on a hill very close by and when I would hear them it gave me the feeling of wanderlust, I loved it. Thanks a million for the beautiful tour, surely makes me want to visit, maybe someday……. 🙏🏻🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Paducah is just beautiful! That downtown area is just perfect. I’ve been through there many times, but in a big hurry. I always thought of the champion water skier from there. Now that I’ve been taken on a wonderful tour, I’m going to talk to my daughter about making Paducah a destination for a getaway. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 😀
What a wonderful downtown area! So many cities have let their downtown really fall into disrepair and now they're revitalizing them (which is wonderful). I loved the brick streets, but my absolute favorite thing was all the birds singing in the background!
It’s such a lovely town! Thank goodness for the tourist traffic from the river boats! I’m sure they’re a fair contributor to your sweet city having such a thriving, attractive downtown with so many fun places. But it’s also clear that the locals, like yourself, care a great deal about their city and work hard to keep it interesting and well-manicured. It’s really a gem!
Love your tour. I am very fond of neat downtowns. I agree that the Chamber of Commerce should hire you. I worked in tourism in my prior life and you have it nailed
I LOVED IT!!!!!! I wanted you to show us the river in the daytime and it was so awesome how much background you gave us ... you could be a tour guide! I am fascinated by river & paddle boats ... it reminds me of the many times I have seen them movies ... so romantic💖 How lovely it must be stepping out of one of those and be greeted by the red coat greeters🤗 You did an awesome job, Renee and I thank you🥳🙏🤗 Paducah is beautiful
Oh Renee I would love it if you gave us a tour of the Museum and if Paducah has an art gallery a tour of that too... only if you find the time... I know you're a busy business woman with your finger in a few pies... errrrr... ice creams lol xxx Renee you make me want to move to Paducah, so pretty lol xxx
You do live in a lovely little town 😊 the architecture around the market square and the new restaurant is great.. The fact that you're right on the river... I always imagine the old fashioned steamboats turned into casinos 😊 fantastic ❤️ thank you Renee xxx
Paducah's done a wonderful job of renewing their downtown; it looks like a lovely place for strolling, shopping, and people-watching. It's nice that your city is small yet still offers cultural events. Very cool that your mom's a former lab tech. I've worked for a pathologists' membership association for almost 30 years. Medical Laboratory Professionals week was April 24-30, so Happy Belated Lab Week to your mom! Lastly, I'd like to point out that the land across the river is Illinois, my state.😁
Really enjoyed the tour and the beautiful, spring bird song was constant background music 🐦🦅🐥🙂. Your town is pretty, so lovely that it has kept that historical feel. Not sure about visiting an 'axe throwing bar' 😲 combined with alcohol 🤔 😆 but hope to visit 'Craving the Curls' one day 🍨🍧🍦😁
How terrific!! Loved your tour of lovely Paducah, Ky!! That was so much fun, Renee'! Thank you for doing that for all your faithful fans! Love you all! Kisses for Maxxi and Pollux!!💜💙
The city of Paducah should pay you for this awesome video! I really hope my husband and I can take a trip there this summer. We're about 300 miles from you all in central Indiana.:)
So nice to see downtown Paducah!!...pretty town that looks like the citizens strive to keep it "cozy" and homey looking. Loved that glass door and Cynthia's Restaurant!!. Most town would have just put up a wall and the low life's would have tagged it with spray paint but the different panels are attractive and meaningful. Did not know that about the paddleboats stopping there. Great info!! Thank you for sharing!!
I remember that video...its a lovely old town...thers a lot going on in the district of Paduca ..I love it...I hope someone us looking after those plants invtrabecas window
Thank you so much for taking us touring downtown Paduca. What a lovely place! Also love the river view and the flood wall with paintings, including you Mom! Don’t mind if you take us again to the marine museum (?) or those lovely shops/bars/restaurants.
Paducah has a thriving performing arts scene....there is always a play or musical at the local community theatre PLUS a broadway production or concert at the fine arts center. It's wonderful!
Such a pretty place. And lovely to hear the birds chirping in the background. I’ve only been to Lexington in Kentucky and definitely need to add Paducah to my “to visit” list. As soon as I’m out of Covid jail.
Thankyou Renee for the beautiful tour of downtown Paducah....It is so beautiful, how proud you must feel to be living there with your lovely family including your puppy dogs. Walt in Miami
You should be commened by the Paducah Chamber of Commerce. The town is so cute. Too bad, I live in Sothern California. You're on my bucket list! Thank you for the personal tour of Paducah. 🤗❤️
My grandparents were from there and are now buried there. I still have family that live there. Such a beautiful town. This summer I am taking my son to visit so he can see where our family is from. ❤
I loved that you shared so much, Renee! I live in Belgium, in a small medieval town in Antwerp Province. If you have a chance look up "Lier, Antwerp", and you'll hopefully (if Google wants to participate LOL) see some beautiful buildings!
Wow I enjoyed touring your Downtown so beautiful down by the river Renee. The trees here are just starting to bud up and get leaves heck we had snow 2 days ago. I live in Alberta the warmest day so far was 21
Hi Renee... thanks for the walk about. What a charming town. So much history and the atmosphere seems so diverse. I wasn't expecting Pacduka to be so big. Take it easy and don't work too hard. And I would not lose any sleep worrying about being fired...lol
Hi Renee, I love this video. I want to come and see you and your beautiful city. It’s so alive and thriving unlike many cities that have allowed their downtowns to die. My husband tells me Edmonton, Alberta Canada where we live is about 4000 miles away. We will have to make a plan. Maybe next year’s vacation.
Hi Renee! Thank you for doing this follow up video. I love the downtown area where your ice cream shop is. It is kept up so neat. My favorite part is downtown Paducah is so close to the river. I just finished watching your latest vacation videos 🙂 I’m new to you & just love your channel. Your energy is contagious.
Such a lovely town with the brick buildings and beautiful plants and flowers. It's so nice that they keep all the historical sites and it's so cool that your mom is part of the mural. 🥰🥰🥰
Renee, I was a next to the RR tracks kid, too. Right by a street crossing. I get emotional when I see a steam locomotive. They are such a powerful reminder of our past, my past, too.
I enjoyed this so much. I lived in western KY more than 55 years ago and I went to Paducah a number of times. I remember taking a ferry across the river to southern Illinois.
LOve this little town with the sun dappled brick lined streets. The charm factor is wonderful. I just want to spend the day walking around, have a little bite to eat... a coffee and pastry... walk down near the waterfront. Just seems like a quaint getaway. Thank you so much.
*Lovely & quaint* but clean & modern‼️ Your economic picturesque .....good to be! 👍👌. Too bad not closer to me to see, would luv to visit, but I am a southern gal of living though ✌️☮️. Appreciate y'all touring visit 'downtown way'.
That was a great video! I hope you're doing well. My wife and I have been wondering what was going to open at CC Cohen building and now we're really curious! We might be down there this weekend for an early morning bike ride to watch the sun come up over the river. I can't believe Tribeca closed! But we will definitely run through your store. It would be really neat to get to meet you. We both love all your videos. We have 2 mini schnauzers. I'm envious you get to work in such a nice area. I've always liked that part of town, it has a great feel about it. I'm really glad to see it doing good down there. I hope you and your family have a great weekend!
Just found your video. We lived in Paducah for 15 years and moved January 2020. I loved seeing how things have changed. Glad to see that downtown seems to be thriving. Thanks for posting.
What a beautiful and charming town. I have never been to Kentucky, but it looks so inviting. Thank you for taking us on the tour. I am a new subscriber and enjoy your channel.
Quite the tour guide. Loved your mom's picture. We have added Paducah on our list of places to visit while touring the South. Loved the pride everyone has to keep it clean.
Enjoyed the video. Paducah's brick streets remind us of a different time. The stores are so inviting as well as the bars. Thanks for pointing out your mother on the flood wall. Your town is very attractive with the plants and flowers just starting to bloom. How about a tour during the tourist season on weekends.
Hi. Like others have already said, you did a wonderful job showing us around your lovely town. Those old buildings are so beautiful. I guess my favorite part was your mother's picture on the wall. How wonderful that must be for you. I'd be so proud, as I'm sure you are.... Just to be able to go there and SEE YOUR MOM, WOW! I hope she is still around to see it, or was here to see it before she left you. Thank you for the tour. It really was nice to leave my Florida kitchen for a little while. It was fun.... When I was little (grade school), we lived in Portsmouth, Ohio. That is also on the Ohio River. It's across from Kentucky. I forget the name of that town. I remember every Halloween we would go across the river to buy our pumpkins. Someone sold them right there along the banks of the river. That's a nice memory I hadn't thought of in yrs. (That was the mid 60s.)... Oh, one more quick thing. They also had/have painted murals on their flood walls. Interesting, huh.
🇦🇺 Thanks so much for the tour. Same for me as a child who grew up in the house my father built on the opposite side of the street from the railway line. Trains passing every half hour but we rarely ever noticed. Just tuned out the noise👌
Sorry, I just read your question and I will respond by saying I love your town and my favorite thing is the historic buildings, brick street and those marvelous murals on the flood wall! I would love to live there with all the cultural things to do.
I learned so much. I had no idea that there was any river traffic there. Pardon my ignorance. What a lovely tour of a vibrant and pretty downtown. Thank you so much. Leigh
Really appreciate your time taken to show us your beautiful, sweet little inside town bit of Paduach, love it, really pretty place. I love place's that are in the waters edge.👍🌞🍦
❤️this video, throughly enjoyed it & would like to see more. Was so hoping You would show the mural with your mom in it And you didn’t disappoint. The murals are beautifully painted & it’s so awesome that your mom is historically documented in Paducah’s City history! Thank You for the tour 🌺
Renee! I love your downtown area. It is so full of history, culture, & fun things to do! It also seems so warm & welcoming. I would love to come visit some time. Thank you for taking us on your walking tour. 🙂
I reside in paducah ky and it is wonderful. I love the old fashioned cigar bar.. you can have a cigar and a really good bourbon. Also the mural is beautiful on the wall.
Fun fact: If you've heard or read the description "The Mason-Dixon Line", you now know that's referring to the very Ohio River filmed by Renee. The North and South use it as a naturally occurring demarcation to separate themselves into two regions. Although, the southern drawl does spill quite a distance into the northern states bordering the Ohio, and so "The South" actually extends farther and wider than is expected.
Nice scenery .... clean town! Favorite part of video just all the unique shops .... like the fact the big restaurant is re-opening! will draw more customer's into your ice cream shoppe.🌷
Love the tour thanks so much. My name is matthew fairchild I was born at Baptist general in 1955. I am an actor here in New York City and my wife and I are thinking about retiring to Paducah. My mom and dad met on Broadway he worked at NCR and she worked at a little records store so many wonderful memories thanks for the tour!
I ❤️ my little downtown! What was your favorite part of the walk?
The wall...was my favorite part aside from your cute lil shop 😉
I loved it all but the murals are a snapshot into the past & present ... beatiful. How lovely to have your Mom in it and honouring the work & contribution she made in her day👏💖🤗
My favorite part is the beautiful clean streets with all the little unique shops and restaurants I grew up in Germany on a street something like that
Water Street is so charming⛵️
I'd be interested in exploring the railroad section., being a bit of a train buff myself, and would love to take the river walk. I agree, Renee did a very good job of highlighting the downtown core of Paducah🤗👏🥳
Paddleboats are beautiful (love the welcoming red coats)
Paducah seems a lovely place, with that little town atmosphere (I yearn for that, it must be delighful! ).
The old town streets are beautiful, artsy, leafy, with a hipsterish air to them. Thanks for the trip, Renee!

One thing I can say is you definitely make Paducah look better than it is😅😅.
Paducah is just beautiful! That downtown area is just perfect. I’ve been through there many times, but in a big hurry.

The birds are always so happy.....just singing away!

We get about 2 riverboats each week....one was here yesterday and another tomorrow ❤️

I’ll bet they’re fun to see! And, hopefully, visitors warm up during their walks through town and cool down at Craving the Curls!

I love the murals on the flood wall.
I can't believe how many birds you can hear with her just strolling through. Looking to maybe move here.
