If you want a high performance electric vehicle with decent range, it's a sacrifice you're going to have to live with. Porsche and the Model S have to cost a lot more to do it.
@@rightwingsafetysquad9872 It’s not a Mustang then. It might be a nice car, but what does an SUV have to do with a Mustang. I’m not even a fan of the Mustang and this is driving me nuts.
How about inventing a new name if the new car is so great and different

The filming style is fine for good quick info as long as you don't start doing too much of them. We like your in-depth whiteboard videos as well as your driving review videos. A nice balance of all the different styles of videos you've done is my recommendation. That keeps it from seeming like the same old thing on every video. Plus keep up the teaching and learning part of it.
I like the way you filmed this video. Feels more personal and allows for some quirky camerawork which I can appreciate.
Every time I hear you talk about tires and sidewalls, I want to have a coffee date where we go on and on and on a out horridly oversized wheels with super low profile tires.
You can have lots of fun ragging on my Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack 392 Widebody. It has 305/35-20 tires, 20"x11" rims. They weigh a ton. You'd be totally in the right on every point. The car is unapologetic in every respect. As bad as that may seem, I see trucks everywhere that are way worse.
Filming quality was great 👍. Definitely wouldn’t mind if you had more vids done in this style. The content and your insight is what I watch your videos for. Great work

More like "electric Ford Mach-E"
Yes. Absolutely
Dont know why they used Mustang trademark.
Wait....I know exactly why they used it :D
Back is ugly tho.
Yeah.. I just call it "ford Mach-E.. its not a mustang.
Now in the future when they get smart and put this same set up into an actual "Mustang body--- Then I'll call it a mustang.
I would have called it the Pinto
@@bentullett6068 pinto is a better fit
Mustang is clearly just a name now. It looks like a Kia SUV.
They could have named it anything else--anything at all--and I would have welcomed it. Diluting the Mustang name to market a product so alien to the badge pisses me off to the point I will never buy it.
1964½: Mustang - iconic muscle car is born
2020: Mustang - castrated into a soy latte-sipping metrosexual's electric SUV
@@NeoHCgbz Honesty and integrity? The marketing was the same, the end goal is to sell a product. I don’t think anything about the 1960’s screams honesty and integrity. Look up the marketing of backyard swimming pools to see honesty and integrity. They rose in popularity as a consequence of desegregation, because whites didn’t want to share public pools with blacks. Integrity in marketing GTFO!
I like these kinds of videos. The camera stability is great and it brings your own personal touch. Audio is great too. But there's a lack of overall interior view of the car. Would love to see more of these type of videos.
got same name
I find it very acceptable filming the way you did it.. great job, Your overview of the mack-e has been better than some of the other RUclipsrs. In fact it makes me a bit more interested in it over the CYBERTRUCK if only it could tow my camper..
Filming style - definitely ok, especially the image stability!
I want mine to sound like a tie fighter.
@Gastón and the indicators to sound like Star Trek phasers!
I struggled like heck with a bow tie once, you mean those kind of sounds ????
It should sound like the Jetsons flying car. Period!🤣
I think the customer could be able to upload a .mp3 for their personalized sounds to "enhance the experience". Perhaps honking geese or galloping horses or maybe a farting sound. The sky is the limit.
@ *Barry F*
No mp3. Yuck.
FLAC or Wav for best sound quality.
Standard files wouldn’t work anyway, at least if you want throttle and gear changing style noises
Then you need to be able to adjust the tone on the fly
Still don't think a touchscreen dash is an "upgrade."
I have a 2018 type r and the touch screen lcd is so trash... music air conditioning everything has to be done through the same unresponsive screen. It takes like three seconds just to register your touch
It seems pretty lazy to me. I can't imagine the designers spent more than 3 seconds deciding to glue an iPad on a blank dashboard, especially since that's what most other EVs do with their interiors as well.
Hard to get passionate about EVs when even their designers clearly don't care.
At least there is an independent speedo. I really don't like the Tesla 3 setup.

Uniquely awesome take on the Mach e. Hand held looks great and gets the job done. Happy new year, looking forward to more in 2021!
They need to make the sound user selectable so we can have jetsons sounds if we want

I want TIE fighter noises in electric cars
Looking at Ford hybrids, this one might explode like a TIE fighter too
you can in a Tesla. :D
Luke's Landspeeder noises
My thought exactly.
Could put in the sound of the Jetsons vehicles
The filming was fine! Thanks for your evaluation of the Mach-E
As far as 'filming in this style' - I didn't even notice until you mentioned it.
The filming quality was great! Save yourself the time and enjoy it!
It looks pretty good, especially in the electric vehicle "segment" but it shouldn't be called a mustang......
Yes. True.
I don't care. You aren't thinking ahead.
Why? In the future electric cars will be the only new ones sold. Already planned in Europe
You are holding the Mustang name far to precious.
I know right, why didn't they call it the Thunderbird or Cougar, this new generation of soccer mom would have been all over it, okay maybe not the Cougar name, because reasons, but you get the point!
The frunk has those compartments so that they don't have to install a release from the inside, something something hostages.
But they did install a release on the inside.
Yeah it's mandatory, no matter how big the trunk is... Look at the Ford GT supercar "trunk"
The release is electric. When someone is inside and the battery fails , one cant get out !
@@xaty1808 normally the releases have some kind of lever
I thought the fake compartments was a loophole to avoid the interior release. That's what it usually is

You can actually program the rear hatch to open to a specific height if you want, and if you need to you can manually push it up the rest of the way up for what ever reason.
You did great on this :) Glad you managed to get a video out - it’s always appreciated. Like the synthetic sounds in the car, you cannot complain when content is free!
The Mach-E is to the Ford Mustang what the Last Jedi/Rise of Skywalker is to Star Wars.

The "Jetson-mobile" sound isn't an option? Bummer!

The rear door has a padded spot to grab open it about 8" lower than where you grabbed it, slightly more comfortable

The hand-held technique was definitely acceptable to me. Maybe reach out to Corridor Crew for suggestions on a more stable solution between your hand and the camera itself?

Great review of an interesting new vehicle. Having worked in the fuel ethanol production industry for a portion of my career, I always got the "it takes more energy to make than it gives" argument (which is far from true) back in the day. I always said "we've had about 20 years to optimize our process while the oil guys have had 150. We've made tremendous process optimizations of the ethanol process and the car people are doing the same in that there's now an arms race of sort to get these e-cars sorted.
On a separate note, my eyes kept coming back to the wide flange beam in the garage with no fire protection, either spray on or 2x's, on it.
Audio and video quality were excellent and no annoying shaking of the image.
New style is absolutely fine!
Mustang??? This is a big all electric Focus...
The current Chevy Blazer is more similar to a Camaro than this "Mustang" is to a real Mustang.
I like the car...I just protest the electric wagon being a Mustang. I know Ford hates cars at this point but just call it the Mach-E
Blah blah get over it boomer lol
You can't pinch your fingers in either the front or rear door, there is a stop built in that prevents exactly that.
Edit: There is also a spot to open the rear door, where there is some soft plastic. on the inside.
See pinned comment. It can still close once taken out of the bumped position (see 5:38). And why put a door handle on the front door if door handles aren't needed? Handles are nice IMO.
@@EngineeringExplained I think it is an aerodynamic thing, in the front the handle is covered by the mirror, but not in the back...Ford says it is because children don‘t like handles...
By the way: Some friends and I had the change to chat with Christian von Koenigsegg and a friend asked about technical stuff like the transmission and so on. He did not had that much time, so he (and his wife) told us to watch your videos on Koenigsegg!

The 2021 Sienna has 6.2" of ground clearance and AWD. It's more SUV than the Mach-E.
For Canadian winters when ice sheets cover your entire doors, there is no way to open the rear door from the outside.
Tip: clear the crap out of your garage and put the car there.
The door handles look totally inadequate for anyone wearing gloves in the winter. A smooth appearance isn't worth much if a person is constantly fumbling with the damn thing and swearing at it just to get in.
@@truantray For Canadian workaholics when you think about going home from work but a sheet of ice formed over your car in the parking lot and you get stuck at work
You prewarm the vehicle... should melt off frost and ice from windshield, headlights, wipers and doors/handles
