    Yeah. The a6000 default color mode is kind of drab by comparison. You can change this to "deep" and get closer. I use "clear" as it is pretty close to pure colors. Nothing you cannot boost in post.
    The big difference is the a6000 won't shoot 4k video. But as far as photos go, the APS-C sensor sony uses hasn't changed much (if at all) since the a6000. The newer cams have better processors and programming while still using the same sensor.
    I love my a6000. I rock it with vintage lenses like the Jupiter 11 and it is just awesome. Full of character. And cheap.

    • @DaniDo
      @DaniDo  Год назад +4

      Thanks for your helpful and detailed insights!
      That's a great pointer to use the "clear" mode to get some natural tones going on. Unfortunately there will be some banding if you push the A6000 footage too hard of course.
      I see you did your homework here :)
      Nice! Vintage lenses are underrated these days, never heard of the Jupiter 11, but definitely gotta check that one out, thank you for the recommendation and sharing!

      it's actually performs a lot better in photography. But the newer models like the A6300, A6400, etc. and also the ZV-E10 have a much better autofocus if you considering buying a new camera

      It won't shoot 4k vid, so it's better at photography than video. Compared to newer cams it holds up well with its well balanced sensor and low light abilities.
      The key is getting good glass. Buy an a6000 (about $350 for a used one in excellent condition) and then blow $300 to $800 on a better power lens than it comes with. Get a good auto focus tele zoom (around $500). The included auto focus power zoom is OK but it won't do anything interesting.
      Get a good manual prime 135 mm ($120) and a manual fast-50 with an f below 2 ($80) and you'll have a great experience. A manual prime 200mm is also handy ($80) but challenging to use since no image stabilization.
      Antique lenses easily adapt to this camera with a m42 to e-mount adapter and there are a lot of inexpensive excellent antique glass out there. ($30 to $200)
      If you get manual lenses (no auto focus) the a6000 had a LOT of features to make manual focus easy and precise. I only do manual focus now that I know how to use these features. My preferred lens is a manual focus Jupiter 11 (a 135 prime). Just make sure what you buy isn't fungus infected or otherwise dirty. A lot of cheap antique lenses are basically only useful as paperweights.

    • @DaniDo
      @DaniDo  Год назад +2

      That depends on what you understand under the term cinematic. But I assume you mean footage that looks like it's coming from a movie. Well I would say yes, but you have to understand how lighting works, because that will actually make your footage look good or not at the end. And also keep in mind that you might be a little bit limited when I comes to dynamic range and color grading if you're into that stuff. Let me know if you want to learn more about these topics and I will try to create a video explaining these points.

      Save your money for video. The a6000 does not have log profiles such as s log 2 or 3. Which means you can’t properly color grade. It’s better to save your money and get something better. I’d still stick with Sony just not this particular camera

    • @DaniDo
      @DaniDo  11 месяцев назад

      Well it depends. Here are some features that's gonna make you go for the G7, like the flippy screen, 4K up to 30fps, microphone jack and also it's a newer camera. The sensor is a little bit smaller, but I heard the quality is better on the G7. I don't have a real life comparison, but that's what I heard so far, especially for videos

      @@AdityaLoshali1 I just checked out some comparisons and the Sony 35mm 1.8 is the winner in most cases because of it's small form factor, OSS, etc. And the Sigma lens "only" has it's advantage in terms of an 1.4 aperture instead of 1.8. Pricewise they are also almost in the same category and yeah to answer your question, the lenses are almost the same.
