This camera will never go out of date. It's a beast when paired with decent glass, and it won't become obsolete just because we have new ultra premium cameras every year, with gazillion of fancy new features. Because when it comes to basics, and it's capturing light, A6000 is awesome at what it does, and even if you rock a fancy new A1 or something premium, it's awesome as a backup, every day, every situation carry camera.
which one should i buy?
Sony ZV E-10 or Sony A6000?
@@princeroy1837 depends on if you do video or photo. If you do photography, A6000. If video, zve10
How about little bit of both ...any suggestions?
@@ahmedbenlahcenee a7c? Full frame but small and still relatively affordable
@@princeroy1837a6300
you're the man who made me buy my first camera, buy Lightroom, buy preset packs, and start my own RUclips channel. Man I love your work. Glad to continue follow you trough 2023, You're fantastic!
Keep it up!
Checked out your channel, seems pretty cool, I’ll subscribe, keep up the good work
Where you at
I only have an A6000 and as a beginner who dips my toes with photography/editing from time to time, I'd say this camera really works amazing. Will probably take a few more years before I can fully outgrow it. Good lenses especially primes extends the lifespan of this so much. Only downside is the video performance but as far as photography goes, it's still a beast. If anyone here is into gaming, this is the 1080 Ti of cameras
Dude... My thoughts are the same too! I have this and also a beginner.. I love both of the photos/videos on this beast.. 1080 Ti of cameras! hahaha.. cheers!
So it matches my graphics card?
What about autofocus of this camera ?
Thanks for the comparison it’s help-
@@hashimtony4189 pretty good!!
I’ve been shooting on an a6000 for years and still haven’t outgrown it. No need for something more expensive for most people. It’s really impressive. Recently I’ve been thinking it’s time for an A7IV but instead I spent that money on glass, and I’m glad I did. This thing is a beast when you put some expensive FE glass on it.
Ace video sam, very kind of you to help those people 😊. I've just upgraded, had my 1st DSLR for just over a year and have just got one of these, the Sony A6000 😁 very happy so far with it,.just need to get myself some more lenses. Currently just using the Sony FE 28-70mm f3.5 - 5.6.
Absolute legend just starting my photography journey and I’ve learnt a lot from your videos to help my progress. Keep it up!
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing. I have recently started my photography journey and am enjoying your reviews, videos and style of photography! This review was great because I was able to see that you don’t need an expensive camera to take amazing shots!! Thanks!!
Could you go over your camera settings like what autofocus modes and stuff you use when out on street photography as well as your shortcut buttons
The a6000 was my first camera going into photography. Beastly when paired with a decent fast prime.
What prime would you recommend for portraits? I currently am using a sigma 30mm
@@sirdk1234 I would recommend 50mm for portraits. I would also recommend getting a fast one too, since it's aps-c and it will struggle more in low light. For portraits, the background blur and bokeh are a big factor
@@sirdk1234 I used the combo you currently use and it was fantastic but if you want something a bit longer then you can't go wrong with the Sigma 56mm F1.4 which is an absolute gem.
@@sirdk1234 I use the Sony 35mm 1.8 and it performs beautifully
You really motivates me to go back at photography! I was trying to save to buy some gear but I barely do photography. I just better to start with anything I got now. Great video. Great results.
Great video... Thanks for sharing... I just bought a second hand a6000, well I wanted to get one since a long time and I am so glad I picked this one as my first camera... This is the first time I've watched your videos and bless the youtube algo for suggesting this video. Definitely subscribing!
So i came here trying to get inspiration for shooting on my a6000 because ive been wanting to upgrade to a more pocketable friendly camera like a Ricoh gr iii but also have been trying to be conscious of over consumption and trying to always buy things instead of just using what i have. Not only did i come here truly inspired by the way you shoot your street photography but of a good person you are helping your fellow citizens. You really warmed up my heart when you topped of the elder lady's metro card. Cheers to you!
Thank you Stephanie 🙏 I think sometimes we limit our creativity because we believe we can be more creative with other (better) gear. When in fact it’s just a battle we’re having with believing we’re capable. If you end and bought a new camera you may find it reignites a part of creativity that you already have you just feel held back by the camera you currently use. It’s not holding you back you just feel like it is. But that’s ok, sometimes we need something new to get us going again. Im not saying go buy a new camera but understand you have the capability to create whatever you want with the camera in your hand. If you want a change that’s totally fine, go for a change and create ❤️
Being a sony a6000 user I could confidently recommend anyone looking out for a beginner camera to buy one. But the kit lens is very limited. It's not that sharp and you will struggle a lot with it in indoor conditions because your shutter speed will have to go less than 1/30 to get a decently lit image. I would suggest someone to use the kit lens for maybe 6 months...have a grip of the camera and switch to a prime lens of your choice. I have gone with the 50mm 1.8 OSS and it was an amazing upgrade.
Sony A6000 @waveringfocus
Great upload as always. The light was amazing and I love how effective the shots with the tiniest sliver of light came out. Beautiful moment with the lady that needed help with the top up... 👍
Thanks for this. Just switched from a58 to a7iii. Was looking to get one of these in addition, since it feels more convenient in some situations.
Keep up the good work 👍🏻
I've just started photography and bought the a6000 with the 50mm 1.8 and i love using it and i love learning to take photos on it. great camera!
if you diddnt know, the 50mm is actually 75mm on an a6000, if your lens is a full frame lens
Sony A6000 series are incredible. You can choose a lot of budget cameras maybe you can use vintage lenses etc.
Thank you for the video and for your photography style. I am a beginner, but I really like your photos and your approach to this process!
New handle for you - “good deed” Sam! You must look very approachable. A6000 still very capable, especially in hands of skilled photographers. Still have the unit I bought shortly after it first came out - was an innovative topside mirrorless in its prime. Had issues w/battery life, noisy shutter, light leaks in lens flange (DIY replaceable), no IBIS, few Sony lenses, hot shoe issues. However, e-mount was super-adaptable to wide range of lenses; Sony Play store allowed apps to be downloaded to cam for fun functionality, body was light weight, and pop-up flash could tilt backward for flash bounce. Kit lens had major distortion issues - corrected in camera and in post.
Excellent video. The A6000 is the best bang for buck if you want to get into mirrorless. The only downside is the battery life. Too bad the A6600 solved the problem but it is so much expensive
What’s the battery life 1 hour ? Or 2?
@@ivancarvallo2837 I never use it for heavy use, but it should last about 3/4 hours and it depends if you are taking a video/picture
Loved how you helped out all those oldies haha
Sony a6000
Love your videos and especially this one with the A6000, seeing a pro with a 'budget camera' just goes to show your creativity and how photography is not based on the equipment but the photographer themselves.

Sony A6000 @ofglamis
Hadn't thought to look at the older smaller profile cameras, could be a perfect setup for a daily carry to work with me. Loving the content Sam 🤙
Great vid man! Some lovely shots there. A fairly capable little setup in the right hands.
It doesnt matter with what camera you shoot, youre shots are freaking amazing. Keep up the good work. Love youre video’s. Greetings from Holland
Love how detailed your review on this camera. Thank you
Love this videos!!!!! I would love to see a POV with the Fuji xt5 and XH2 :)
Sony a6000 - benchandlerphotography
Used to have the a6000 and absolutely loved it. I’m now starting to practice more street photography, just from watching your videos, so thank you!
You're a good human being and your photos are incredible. Subbed!
this video is great, love the shots you got out of this camera
Dude love your content on this.. Pure A6000 with the kitlens.. It shows how powerful this beast are! Thanks and cheers!
Love your work brother
Your work influenced me to start doing street photography
I still watch this over and over again sir! I only have A6000 and you inspires me to use it everyday. And also I admire you to help people. Thanks sir for your video.
Oh my goodness.. Those photos are beautiful. I think i will get this camera for a start. Totally new in this.
First time in Camera RUclips, you are awesome. Very cool vid !!
Nice video like always mate !!! 🔥
8:53 Mate, that was so nice of you ❤
Still using Sony rx100. M1. A6000. Looks like an upgrade thanks for the vid
I have had an A6000 for a couple of years but due to caring for my elderly mother haven’t really done any photography during this time. I want to get back into it now. I love landscape, wildlife and maybe macro later. I really want a decent lens for wildlife that I could get second hand, any suggestions welcome.
really great shots, just got myself a a6100 can't wait to try it out
Welcome to Sydney. I've still got my a6000 from 2014 it's still growing strong, easily the best camera I've ever had
Great shots! Glad I found you. I just subscribed.
got me one and looking forward to it!
I love my a6000, regardless if I shoot full-frame. This is my travel kit paired with the sigma trio primes and a 18-105 is really all you need.
Very kind man to help people in need. God bless
As always, awesome POV!
Good video bro, I was wondering, which hybrid camera do you think its the best one to start on video and photography
Heck of a deal you got on that! They are still selling new for more than what I paid for mine 8 years ago! Low light performance is lacking but other than that it’s still a great camera!
you are a good man, may the good god bless you
a6000 - tiforza04 ; changed from my old Nikon D5100 to a Canon EOS RP, overall I‘m happy with it but this lens thing is a problem for myself and that’s the reason why I probably will sell it and buy a Sony ^^ love your Content
Terrific video. I recently have been getting into photography and looking to purchase a camera. This might be the perfect one. Unfortunately, I do not have IG. Good luck to all others and I hope whoever wins, enjoys it!
great camera, great man, what a great combination, love your vids mate
Hi Sam,
If you turn off the Pre-AF, the battery will last a few minutes longer... lol, It was very nice to see you help those people , all the best.
Subscribed after seeing first 10 photos you took!!! What an eye for a shot!!! Planning to get my first camera to learn photography. Mainly portrait and street photography, considering a6000 with sigma 56 1.4 prime to start with. Wanted a6400 but it’s out of budget if i add the lens to it. I hope i am making a right decision!!!
tamron or sigma one of the two I have the 1.4 and use the this with it. I use the 18-300mm lens on the zve10 for zoomies Think sony is gonna release another set of series this year Cant wait to pick one of those up! Did a wedding with both bodies and it came out lovely Last weekend.
Sick video Sam 🔥🔥🇬🇧
Loved this video! Btw, Sony a6300 with zeiss 16-70 it's a good starter pack?
Love my a6000 great for me learning …never got anything as good as yours with that lens maybe I need to start using it again
Great video, keep it up!
2 instances of helpfulness and generosity towards those two elderly ladies, subscribed and liked
I Bought mine as a webcam in the pandemic, then it introduced me as a videographer hobbyist world, i ended up buying 2 vintages lenses Yashica 50mm Helios 58mm and other 2 manual lenses 23mm and 28mm f1.4, now i'm planning to get a Tamron 17-70mm f2.8. this camera is so much fun, i hope to get one day a Sony a7c to expand my possibilities too
Yea! Im still use this camera ;] (also have this default lens ) and sigma 1.4 56mm
Fantastic video, did you use the basic lens that comes in the kit with the Sony Alpha 6000?
i got the sony a6400 with sigma 18-50mm f2.8 lens thanks to your videos
Sam, that was such a lovely thing of you to do for that lady, I know it will make her day and she will never forget it.
P.S. some great images there too
Sony A6000 - vonci
I really like the fact that you can do these kind of shots even with the kit lens which gets a lot of negative feedback from people.
Sony A6000 leooluize , amazing video, really want to see this camera with a f1.4
There is a setting on the a6000 that does help that battery not to run out while the camera is off. If only I could find it again :) I always loved my a6000. It is small and the pictures are not bad. I love the small 30mm sigma art lens on it (the cheap one).
turn off wifi and turn off eye sensor for view finder
Sony A6000 @ibaight , I've been looking at the A6000 and the X100V to purchase as second smaller camera. I haven't decided which to get yet. I already have Sony lenses so advantage for the A6000 but I really would love the X100V. Thanks for samples and info on the A6000.
beginner camera, looks like a pro to me, great shots, it's all about the photographer, even with a 2014 camera it's possible to have impressive quality, even with the kit lens, thanks
Sony A6000 @j_viapoz
I'm enjoying this new section a lot, you keep showing us how much you can get from any camera. I've been taking photos for 2 years with my brother's camera, a Canon 1200D, and even though I feel very limited at night which is my favorite time to shoot, it still does a decent job at daytime.
hi wander love your video if you are using viltrox lens so which any two lens you will used for photo shoot and street photography so please suggest me .👍👍👍✌
I was on doubt, betweend the a6000 and the M50 Mark II to learn and the flip screen on the canon one was what made me choose for it.
Sony A6000 @alexstefang - That's a nice little camera! Good to pack in a backpack and have anytime with you. The quality is still great so that will be no problem in shooting in many scenarios!
Hi Bro, I loved you shots on this video, all shots you took are shadow shots, little underexposed. is this camera only good for those shots? how about portraits?
I have been sitting here obsessing about buying a better zoom lens for my new a6400 and trying to hold off till I have some more invoices paid off and this has made me realize that it really doesn't matter. The kit lens might not be amazing, but it's all about the photographer and the kit lens will be enough for me to get practice just now!
Really recommending the sigma 30mm 1.4 tho, only glass i’ve ever needed
I bought the 6400 which is brilliant. This whole APS-C range is just great and a great range of prices - and even more economical if used. The only thing I wish for is IBIS as I'm getting older. I use the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 most of the time because it is just an absolutely outstanding lens, but the kit lens does have the advantage of OSS. A lot of your shots used the hard contrasty lighting which I think is a good way to hide the softness of the kit lens. It's a bit of a Marmite lens (or I suppose that's Vegemite in Sydney?) and you either love it or hate it. I started off hating it. But used in the right way with the right kind of subjects it is more than OK.
I still use my a6000, great camera for the money. Love the video's your making 👍
your shots looks terrific. did you edit those that photos that you showed and how did you edit it?
I had an a6000 for 3 years and it out in some work. it's solid for what it is
I use a canon rebel t6 and I need an upgrade, my current camera has terrible autofocus 🥲 and this was the camera I was thinking of getting. And this camera looks amazing!
sony a6000 was my first camera , And i still using it , i love it so much
Sony A600 @Delamsz
Watching tons of videos these days while saving money to buy my first camera ! Love your pov videos, thanks for these good vibes !
Sony a6000 - dimgdwt
Great video! Some beautiful images with this Lil' guy!
Man your pictures are so clean, I have some good glass but still haven't reached its highest potential
Sony a6000 @shotsbyorsi
Glad to see you’re trying out different cameras.
My setup: Sony A6000, Sony 20mm f2.8, TT Artisan 50mm f1.2 and 35mm f1.4. Love it.
Great man with great heart
Yea it will work welll. The a6000 af is good enough for street shooting like this. The rest is up to the user knowledge of how to shoot and how to edit.
1 dont need top of the line products to do these street stuff. Cracks me up everytime when people still think after getting expensive gear they can get good/great photo out of the box. No you cant. You need to know how the settings works and composition and lastly know how to edit.
Sony A6000 @charlie_gerancher Pretty cool shots from an "old camera"!! Funny how yesterday's hardware sometimes is forgotten or looked down upon as new equipment arrives. There is definitely some great old stuff out there... Thanks for taking us along! Have a great weekend.
Sony A6000- That's good budget-performance camera i like this kind of staff. Also ı think you must upload some editing videos because ı like your editing style too. I hope in near future you can make some videos about this.
Sony A6000 @notsage
Great video and nice shots!
Fantastic job, makes me wanna buy an a6000
Nice work ❤
Is that a stock lens that comes with the A6000? Sorry I’m at new this language but love everything about it
Looks like a nifty little camera. I just currently use my cellphone but the best camera you have is the one on you. :)
Loved this video; but that lady that asked for directions was so sweet 🤗 I love senior citizens ❣️ edit: there was another one!? Sweet! The seniors love you Sam 🤗 (and so sweet of you good sir ✨)
You're very kind!😃
I had a a6000 with really nice lenses then decided to get a new updated body (r7) and budget lenses. I realized that lenses matter wayyy more than the body so looks like I may be going back soon lol.
