That’s beautiful! I like to use a silicone spatula to scrape off the Armor Etch. Comes off pretty clean and is easy to put it back in the jar. Thanks for all your wonderful ideas!
Hello! I am late!!! No worries. I thank you for this video! As we watch you, we learn. I might defer to putting on top, putting down, the part of the project that I can see through. 2 years ago a friend of mine and I purchased from EtchWorld online. We are only now going to do our first etching!!! So I am grateful I found this video of yours. I am not finished watching the video... I like your channel. We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. Take care. Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene
Love it - and I just returned from an Ikea run! I purchased a bunch of glass jars and candle holders to etch or decorate with vinyl for Christmas gifts. Can't wait to get started on them!
That cream does stink! Whew! Great project! Thank you‼️I loved your husbands hand in the video trying to help you. So sweet! I am one that is so kind & sweet too!!!
I saw a good trick on how to remove the labels. Just take a hairdryer to it, and it will come off. You can also use the goo be gone spray to get any leftover goop.
I am going to do all my daughter's and son's and married grandchildren" wedding date, with name and date, and wedding bells on a glass plate, thank you for the idea.
Tried etching a long, long time ago and it didn't work out the best. Now that I have your video I have more confidence. Wonder how long etching cream lasts? I think mine is ready to go in the trash. Thank you so much. YOU are the BEST!
I have a question...I would like to make a gift using typed song lyrics. They will be put onto a painTed 16 x 20 canvas. I have a Cricut Exp Air 2. I would like to know your recommendations as to what method to approach this project....do I make a stencil or should I just cut the vinyl and apply it to the canvas? The lyrics are quite lengthy and in the shape of a heart. Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated! Still loving your videos! I have learned so much through them.
Hi Sheryl. I did a very intricate scripture verse for my daughter, it was on an 8x10 wooden pallet. I was amazed that it stuck but it did. I think for doing a canvas I would do it with HTV. I've seen it done on Utube by Tanner Bell. I actually put regular vinyl on canvas when I first got my cricut and it worked out but first I painted the canvas with an acrylic paint. Thats what someone else had recommended. It worked too. Hope this helps.
I love that container. Was at Ikea and could not find it. Can you tell me Betsy want section you found it at? or see what the number they have on the plastic wrap? I even as asked someone and they couldn't find it.. Thanks.
I just etched our logo on 150 mugs, if you get to it fast enough, wiping it up with a wet cloth worked, but you need to be fairly quick before it starts to etch
www.ikea.com/us/en/p/sammanhang-glass-box-with-lid-clear-glass-20417979/ This is the bowl with lid. I couldn't find it the comments so I slowed the video and looked for the label.
Elegant! I’m a quilter; wish I was going to the quilt show.
Thanks for all your tutorials Betsy; you help a lot of people grow in creativity!

I agree with removing labels being a pain in the *! lol. Beautiful craft, as usual.
Beautiful! Love that you show “problems” and keep going! Sometimes you just have to grin and move on!
Love this!!! Excited to hear the Ooooo's and Ahhh's of those trying to figure out how I created something like this!! 😍😍😍
Betsy, an easy way to remove labels...and the residue...is to heat the label using your blow dryer. Works like a charm!
That turned out great.... Couldn’t have turned out better. It was touch and go there at the beginning when laying down that vinyl. 😂 Lord have mercy!
i love working with the etching cream so easy yet the end result is sooo cool!

I'm waiting on my Armor Etch to arrive now - since the closest craft store to where I live is literally minimum 3 hrs away.
Same! As usual, Amazon to the rescue!
Lovely and easy , thanks for the inspiration 😊
I love this craft! (:
I love everything you got from Ikea!!
Very cool you always make it look so easy.
Betsy, Use a hairdryer/craft heater to heat the sticker you want to remove and it’ll come off in one go.
Love when you do these tutorials💜
Betsy,do you know if you can etch on colored glass ,stainless,or silver? Love your videos,I have learned so much from you!
Love this! Mayne try a kitchen scraper to remove the left overs.

I need to try this.Great video thanks
Another great piece, thank you Betsy. Would love to turn the camera and see your hubs. Tfs
Going to try do a plate etching today. Thank you.
use a lighter to soften the adhesive of the label. Hover the lighter slowly over the entire sticky label, once warmed, the label will peel off easily
I really learn so much from you!
I’m so jealous, my friend is going to the quilt expo!
I keep a container of GooGone to get labels off and any glue that’s left after peeling.
Thank you so much for sharing this .
Another great project! Hopefully I run into you while you’re shopping in Houston. We’re neighbors! I’m in the Lake Conroe area northwest of Houston.
I love your easy weeder wooden pick I bought 4 of them tried the one for Cricut and Silhouette and don't like them!
Another great idea
Some videos for etching say you can leave on as little time as 5 minutes? Do you find 15 min. better and why?
If vinyl doesnt tear are u able to use it multiple times ??
Thank you. Am going to try this out soon

I wish there was a way to save the weeded monogram for another project
Isn’t tape long and skinny? I would call it adhesive transfer paper

When working with an acid it is important to wear eye protection.
Super neat!
Is there a way to remove etching if you mess up??
I just etched our logo on 150 mugs, if you get to it fast enough, wiping it up with a wet cloth worked, but you need to be fairly quick before it starts to etch
Nice
why isn't it made for the dish washer if it etches the glass its' not going to change that is it?
If you go over the label with a heat gun or hot blow dryer the label will pull right off.
why quick and fast?
Why can't you put etched glass in the dishwasher?
shutternut mom, I think it has more to do with the dish not being dishwasher safe to begin with.
Did I miss what font you used Betsy?
Wanda Panick it is monogram KK. You can get it from Dafont.com
@@cinabun2 thank you so much
Removing labels with a dryer(hair).
