As a construction contractor's wife, I want to make a public service announcement, please DO NOT wash excess armor etch off your items in your kitchen or bathroom sink. Just last month, there was an unexplained water leak at a client's house, costing a lot of money in repairs. When I visited my husband to drop off lunch, I noticed her hobby was this kind of thing. She was working on a project and I asked her why she didn't put the excess back in the bottle, she said her arthritis makes it a little tough so she just washes it off in her sink. I did the whole dramatic GASP thing and told her its an acid, its corrosive. She explained that she lets the water run. It doesn't matter how much you dilute it, if its done often enough it will cause damage. She makes things about 4 times a day, sometimes double that during holidays! Thank you for letting me voice my concern, as always your little tutorials are fun, and they've encouraged me to branch out from paper crafting.
I love etching glass too. Last year I got two small glass containers from IKEA, etched our grandson's names on them and filled them with cookies for Christmas.
I am power watching a lot of your videos. I am loving them. All the tips and tricks. I love Armor Etch, yes it does smell but the finished product is Worth it. Thanks for sharing your talent. You have a blessed day. Oh I figured it was your husband distracting you while you were filming..so he was your brain fart. LOL 😂
Love it! Didn't realize how easy it was. I have never tried it and might get the itch to do it soon. One suggestion: use a water bottle filled with water instead of pouring water from that gallon jug.
2 questions: Did you Mirror your design? And if I were to want to do this on a baking dish would be be oven safe?? Thank you for all these awesome videos!
Couldn't see the finish product. Perhaps you could add a picture at the end of each video of the finish projects for a better view. I really like the etched projects & thinking of giving & selling them this year for Christmas gifts.
Have you ever used the vinyl adhesive that looks like etching ? They have it in diff colors? I was just wanting to ask if it is worth using instead of really using the real etching crime. Thank you.
TyNeshia Lake-Ivy - unfortunately you can't remove etching. The glass is changed after etching & cannot go back to a smooth surface without a lot of work. And if you're using Dollar tree plates, it's much easier & less expensive to just use a new plate.
Very cute!! Have you ever thought about sandblasting the glass instead of using armor etch? You get a much better and darker image than using armor etch..

A great demonstration of glass etching, and I can't wait to try it. Perfect for the upcoming holidays!
I would definitely suggest masking off areas you do not want to etch with painter's tape. Great video.
I love to glass etch. Looks more difficult than what it actually is. Your plate turned out absolutely beautiful.
Love it! Thanks for sharing so many awesome "Craftmas" ideas!

Use a sponge to apply acid etch. I do this all the time on mason jars. Great idea for Christmas Cookies and Thanksgiving Goodies! Thank you Betsy
Love your tutorials! RE THE GLOVES... Turn them right-side out as much as you can, gather the wrist portion and blow into it like a balloon. Presto!

Couldn't see the finish product. Perhaps you could add a picture at the end of each video of the finish projects for a better view. I really like the etched projects & thinking of giving & selling them this year for Christmas gifts.
Yes, I agree a still picture of the project at the end would be good.
Hi Betsy where do you find the time to do all these awesome videos? Thank you!
This is a goal for me to try!
I recently viewed the etching look with vinyl (Siser). Have you tried this vinyl as oposed to the etching cream?
I want to etch a glass baking dish, only problem is they all have something written into the glass, what do you do about that? Thank you
great job!!...do you mirror the image for the bottoms of glass or cut it normal??
Is this washable when completed?
Have you ever used the vinyl adhesive that looks like etching ? They have it in diff colors? I was just wanting to ask if it is worth using instead of really using the real etching crime. Thank you.

Best way to removing etching, in case it gets messed up?

Have you ever used glass paint on your finished project?
Cute🎅🎅👌👌👍👍

Cute!!!
Is this permanent?
Sweet sweet

Does the Armor Etch come in different colors?
Very cute!! Have you ever thought about sandblasting the glass instead of using armor etch? You get a much better and darker image than using armor etch..
Ann Marie Lessner I e been curious about that. Is it messy to do?
Yes it is.. it's not something you would want to do in the house. I'm lucky and have a garage.
@@AnnMarieLessner thanks. I may have to give it a try this fall. If it cools off enough to be in the garage.
blow into the glove,
