    After watching your video, I decided to use the upright setting in my driver. I did lose about 10-15 yards in distance, but I hit every fairway my very next round. I usually hit about 9-10 fairways per round. But this was a miracle cure! Yes I lost a little distance, but I can deal with that. Thank you!!!

    Another reason to use the upright/draw adapter setting is to counteract using a shorter shaft. As you shorten the shaft the lie angle of the club head naturally starts to flatten out. I use a 1" shorter shaft on all my woods and I now select the draw adapter setting (Cobra) on all of them to restore a more neutral lie angle because I was starting to push everything to the right in varying degrees (especially with driver).

    The adjusting tool is a torque spanner so it only requires one click to achieve the correct torque settings on the retaining screw turning it so it click’s numerous times one achieves unnecessary wear on the rachet in the tool

    Which one I'd choose would depend on what course I was playing. Green would be likely my default since it seems to be your best fairway finder. And I'd set it to fade when I play a course where I can let loose for the best distance/dispersion combo. That is, if those test results can be recreated on different days. One day of testing doesn't necessarily make for a definitive result.

    I recently got the TM M4 driver and tried exactly this since I seemed to keep drifting right more with the M4 . . . and it seemed to mess me up more, so I changed it back. I might go back and give it a try again now that I've got more swings under my belt w/ the new club. Thanks for the interesting video!

    Great Video as Always.. About 30 Days ago I adjusted my 9 Degree Callaway Mavrik Driver to +2 (11 Degree) and Draw Setting. It made a Huge Difference. Now hitting the ball 15 - 20 Yards more because of Ball Height and Straighter Ball Flight. Also recommend Get Good at Golf Channel. 10 Minute or less Video on a Single Topic. Worth Subscribing to.

    I worked on my speed last off season. Using the Rypstick. While doing this for a few months I also worked on my driver settings. Ping G425. Tried all combinations and ended up Flat, +1* loft (11.5) nuetral. Hit them straight pretty much all year while keeping up with my playing partners in distance. I could probably had my fitters (TXG) do this in an hour but off season had lots of time.

    I've got adjustable hybrids (Callaway Epic SuperHybrid 3H & Callaway Apex 21 4H and 5H) and made them a stronger loft and they have been going farther. Great hybrids if you're looking for one and if you find a used in a great condition it will be a great value.

    My bad shot is left. I play my TM Sim in the upright setting favoring the middle weight towards draw. Can’t explain it but I hit straighter drives in this setting. Slightly heel side of center if the club face. I am looking to pick up the same Stealth driver you have.

    Got to be in the upright position for me, dispersion excellent as like you say, you could throw a blanket over them. Sacrificing a little yardage for better control, I could live with that.

    Good call - the first thing I did to my Mizuno ST-X was take a hacksaw to the shaft (44.5" now) and set upright. It does sit toe-up a bit but seems to like it. Will try it on the M4 I can't hit for toffee!

  • @robertchilton8111

    Have to admit that I have never played with any of the adjustability of any of my clubs. I am having enough trouble just putting a consistent swing on the driver. Seems like "cart before the horse" thinking to mess around with settings before that aspect settles out.

    • @RC-9
      @RC-9 3 месяца назад

      disagree robert.. a different setting may just help iron out a flaw in your swing, make you a little more consistent and hence give you more confidence - which as we all know is the greatest ingredient to play good golf...

    James did you realised that the lie angle on Taylormade drivers tend to be flatter than other manufacturers in astandard setting, so will have a tendency to fade. Also if the customer picks a shaft and there flex TM actually builds them half a flex stronger ! Watch the Mobile Clubmaker Golf on RUclips.

    i was in FL visiting dad and a buddy was like you want a new driver head well new to me i was like yeah . so i take it off while he goes to get it . he cant find it i put my head back on and we go golfing now . i will add he is a golf instructor . i cant hit a fairway to save my life now and my driver has been the rock of my bag . when in doubt break out the big stick and just swing softer . well after struggling through the round and him telling me to play the slice i did just that because after putting two ob i had no choice . found out when i put it back on i put it on lower loft and that opens the face . i used to have it on high loft . i also would raise my hands before hitting if i didnt i would still slice some . going out to check if this fixes everything .
