    When I was playing in high school (recently graduated college) I was a good iron player but I simply could not fix my driver slice and I got the M2 D-type and that was just enough to get it down to a nice baby-fade. Still gave me more than enough distance and could keep it on the fairway. Even though I don’t use a draw biased drivers now and am better able to control my drives, I highly recommend them for people who have a slice.

    Please release the adjustable stealth2 plus 4 wood to the market (not the bonded version but the one with the loft sleeve). The bonded version is a dealbreaker for me and a lot of other people.

    Thank you for this video Chris. Been struggling with a slice with my stealth. Will try moving the weight to draw and set to upright setting to see if I can get to a more consistent fade. I like the height and distance when I hit a fade so I want to keep it at 9 degrees.
    It would be great if you did a video on how to set up a stealth 2 plus fairway 3 wood. Looking to get the one this year. Thanks again for the video. Well done!

    What will have a more drastic impact on ball flight (draw/slice), lie angle or loft setting?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад +1

      Loft - the blade strikes the ball so loft will directly impact that . Lie also a factor but loft more so

      All depends on how In/Out we're talking & then your face. You might need to work on face angle / control but I'm also not going to say that the shorter shaft wouldn't potentially help

    How much does shaft choice influence the shot? Would you say it's less than, equal to or a greater factor than these adjustments? Thanks!

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад +2

      I think shaft choice influences the feel for sure which in turn influences dynamic loft and face at impact. To put a % on it is all player dependent but usually once you get settled into your shaft of choice then you should be good to go, it's only when you make drastic changes that major ball flight issues come in

    Hi Chris - I am playing a Stealth 2 Plus 9 degrees with a Ventus Blue Velocore 6s. My pro jacked up the loft by 1.5. I get a little steep with the driver. My driving accuracy has been fantastic- hitting fairways for fun. However - my ball flight is high and a touch spinny. My good drives go total 260-270, my bad are 220. Any recommendations on how to consistently achieve max distance?

    • @trottiegolf

      Shallow out with some swing work , go to the half way point on the loft sleeve between the two and adjust that tee height to get perfect ball v driver cg locations

    Will Taylormade ever look to update the Loft sleeve/adapter system currently in place? I really like having the adjustability but I also don't want my grips and shafts turned in weird 30-180 degree ways, especially with shafts with big decals on the underside, or with grip that have aids in alignment of different feels when turned. Only downside I've found with my SIM2 woods.

    • @thejoker7323

      So you want the ability to adjust, but somehow keep everything lined up for aesthetic purposes in every position ?! Good luck with that one.

    • @SteelTiiTan
      @SteelTiiTan Год назад

      @@thejoker7323 have you seen the Callaway adapter? Even the Titleist adapter only changes the grip/shaft orientation with half of the settings not all. The shaft is secondary but annoying in some cases when there's big goofy logo on the underside that is now staring up at you at address, the main thing is not everyone likes a standard tour velvet or wrap grip. GolfPride ALIGN grips, any MCCs, ribbed, etc turn and dont line up as you'd want.

      @@SteelTiiTan I actually get your point & am in the same boat. I hate the moving graphics and grip decals or ribs. Sadly the only way to correct it is to re-glue everything (I know, I know, a very tour like answer). Bottom line I doubt the tech will change any time soon (don't quote me as I'm not in R&D) but when all is said and done the benefit far outweighs the look.
      Sorry I don't have a better solution, shafts with 360* graphics and round blank grips could well be in your future, or get set and re-glue everything.

    I have a Sim2 Max D (avg 187yds carry) and I’m looking at the Stealth 2 plus and HD to match all of my stealth irons and stealth 2 wood and rescue. I either hit the ball straight or a straight slice to the far right (more often). I’ve made several trips to Dicks and I’ve hit both with the same results with the Plus and HD. I’m being told that the Plus is adding more side spin over the HD due to my inconsistency. And the HD would be more beneficial to me. Other than being allowed to change the slide weight from fade to draw, is that really the only difference to the HD?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад

      C.G location is your biggest difference yea. You’d be well placed (like this video illustrates) to go lower loft set on higher, that way you achieve a face angle that will help your slice. Try it out first & see what you think, but that’s take advantage of the tech

  • @bertraminc9412

    I've never seen you on the upright side of the sleeve in any fittings. Is that really something the scratch golfers really don't use?

    • @trottiegolf
      @trottiegolf  Год назад

      All depends on start lines. To be totally honest it's not right for me personally based on my horizontal swing plane (angle at which I swing the club) & also the fact that I'm only 5"7 so getting into an upright lie wouldn't be ideal for someone of my size. PLUS if I have a miss it tends to be left or at least I have a fear of left so again upright not the way to go
