Thank you so much for watching!

4 years ago I watched this video and it inspired me to mess around with wood, I now own my own woodworking business and left a career banking job. Thanks for sharing your work.
This is what happens when Kirby meets audio.
And it’s the best feeling ever when its set up in the place
Great build.
I have to say watching your build videos is a zen moment for me.
I love that! It's pretty zen for me too. Thanks for watching, Jason!
Two quick question
I would love to make this project, but, the easiest way to integrate it into my very simple setup is with an optical audio cable. Do you have any recommendations on what parts I should get to add an optical audio port? I think this is something I am going to look into.
Also have you played with torching the front panel of wood to make the grain stand out more?
You can get one of those cheap chineese 5.1 decoders and modify them, they can decode an digital spdif signal (a.k.a signal from an optical audio cable) and output 5.1 channels. With some work you can make the 5.1 output to an 2.1 ;)
Thanks MrApplecraft, I found this on Amazon, but I need a way of integrating it with the back of the speaker.
amazon.ca
Digital to analog converter would be the easiest way to hook it up.
I love the way he make the videos.. its all about speakers but its kinda rellaxing tho ☺️
I agree on that!
Thank you!
That was 17 mins and 15 seconds of pure relaxation......... What a way to chill out.
Amazing workmanship too :-) keep up the great work
From an old school. I love the original design. That is the way my brain work. take something and make it your own. WOW!!
as always very enjoyable video! as a little suggestion, I don't recommend mounting drivers to the back of the board as it gives the sound room to reflect.
this music really is some kind of a trip...
Thanks!
Hi, song name pls? and what is your source for the music in your videos?
Kirby Meets Audio Please Kirby, what is this neat and delightful music? Production on your own?
Shazam has just identify that it contains a sample from "Plan And Act by Patrice Nko'o"…
@@guillaUXm this is the music but i pretty sure this is a remake by kirby
they use it as sample to and not notice it is bad kirby...
Молодец, безусловно лайк за золотые руки)))
Your Video Editing Was Spot On.Your Works Building That Speaker Absolutely Great.Perfectly Nice,Well Done.
Thanks so much!
I get the asmr with the miter saw, I will try with some speakers I have lying around. Thanks for the inspiration, build plans and great video. I swear two works of art every video
Thanks, Nel!
Gorgeous photography.... aweaome projects. 👍
Thanks, Leonardo!
Couldn’t finish the great build you were making because that music was killing me
Awesome. You are a true artist. And what a photography!!!
Thanks, Gustavo!
Pretty snazzy looking! Well done! But that knot drives my OCD crazy!
SAME!!!
Muahahaha!
the knot's knot bad in my opinion!
Just got goosebumps, hypnotized and captivated for 17min. Awesome video and awesome work, thanks for sharing!!!
Great video! I have been looking at 5.1 sound bar systems (Vizio) but your video has given me some additional ideas as I also just purchased a table saw, drill press and miter saw!
With some thought I think I can get these basic ideas into a full 5.1 bluetooth system for surround sound. Should be super sound as I can pick the drivers and it will be good looking too.
David Gillooly Upload your making video please.
david there is more to a 5.1 system then just the speakers. first and for most, your stereo needs to support 5.1 and the content your watching/listening too has to be 5.1, only way to have true 5.1 system on all sounds (music, movies, etc) is to go Dolby digital live.
you sir, are definitely beyond human.
hands down.
How about a video comparing the same driver in three boxes: too small, just right and too big; something like a test? Would it yield some interesting results? Love your videos!
That's a great idea! Thank you!
Fantastic craftsmanship... but I've been always wondering, when watching your videos, if there is some proper acoustics engineering involved in your projects?
I'm an electrical engineering student and was wondering the same thing. I've built a few simple speakers with copper wire and a magnet; granted they sounded like crap but it worked.
Absolutely! But I don't solely focus on getting the best sound possible. I try to find a balance between form and function, using acoustical engineering when needed but still allowing for the project to look good. Theres a lot more forgiveness to speaker design than people think. Thanks for watching!
Justin Rush when you build speaker cabinets, best to use MDF wood and use a online software to measure the size of your cabinet and spacing of speakers based on the type of speaker drivers you using, to give best acoustic sound.
you can use a thing layer of pine wood for finishing over the top of the MDF wood for the wood grain look., then use electronic crossover if you can afford it, that's what what high end speaker companies do.
never use pine for the entire build as pine gives un-natural resonance and inaccurate acoustic bass sound stage. MDF wood is always best used for speaker cabinets.
I've built many speaker cabinets and every driver is different, so online measure based on driver used is best, as some drivers may be need to be ported and others not.
this guy just design a cabinet based on wrong materials no measure based on the drivers for accurate acoustic sound either.
It's going to sound like a small alarm clock radio with lots of distortion and lack of bass.
Wayne Gale, would you recommend some specific software?
Daniel Venturi WinIsd
Hands down, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!
I could look and listen to this video...for an indefinite amount of time.
Wey.... que hermoso trabajo!!!
Me encanto .... no me perderé tus vídeos ya que me inspiran a buscar inspiración y crear mis propias cosas, ya tienes un fan en México!!!
saludos!!!
Nice one.. But it would be great if we were able to hear the sound quality from it!!! 😀
But the quality would only be as good as his mic picking it up and your own speakers or headphones reproducing that captured sound.
Yes but u can hear distortion, high and low levels if you have semi-decent headphones\speakers, which most people these days have, so hearing it is kind of essential. Without hearing the sound its pointless to even start on a project such as this. Love the vids anyway.
No sound test = blue balls
@@fetymann if you're here it's cause you probably like audio. if you like audio, then you probably have decent headphones, and this guy has a good microphone. it's not the same as hearing it in person, but it's quite better than nothing...
Impresionante trabajo hermano. Hecho con pasión y dedicación.
You're lucky you've got the tools and knowledge to construct such good speakers! keep that way, I wish you all the best!!! greatings from Serbia!
these videos are so well shot i can spend the whole day just watching them to relax
What a lovely speaker! More knowledge for my brain and to do for my soul big big thanks from Argentina.
even if I never made a set of speakers.
I would still enjoy your videos
Damn this is some interesting, entertaining and actually relaxing stuff to watch. Good work making this kind of video a quality content.
Man Everytime iwatch your videos bro..... Nuff respect
This is therapeutic.
is a therapy to me, see you working
Thanks, Alex!
That's one heck of nice home wood shop you got there!
Thank you, Nathaniel!
I like it when you clean the wood with your bare hands :)
Thanks for watching!
I can't even tell you how much you inspire me!
I love all your videos. I find myself in a limbo between in utter zen and peace of mind, or raging jealousy of your job and your life (of what I can see) :)
I am 15 and looking at different options for what I want to do after education, working with such beautiful tools and materials plus getting such an amazing product at the end of it really appeals to me.
If you get a moment it would be very helpful to me if you could explain how you got to where you are now, and benefits / cons to what you do (I am presuming you do it as a bill payer and not just a hobby)
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Good luck.
гениальная работа!!!
First vid i've seen of you... that is the most confident subscription i think i've ever made. you are truly one of the best
Thank you so much!
Man, your videos are so much inspiring and your HQ materials and machines are making your product the best! I hope to see how you are building wood speaker horn.
Thank you!
Красавчик!!! Шикарно!!
Amazing man ! You are just making speakers but it's healing inside.
Love the video style and editing. Very inspiring .
I'm really addicted to these videos... And I don't know why...
Nowadays Soundbar and sub-woofers are connected wireless via thru Bluetooth. Can u through some light on this. (such as LG model no : NB3540)
nice background for delay+guitar improvisation 😎
Man, you are great!!! Fantastic. You made my evening!!!
These are always great. It's like an episode of How It's Made, but with no voiceovers.
Thank you, James! I love that show! Loved? Is it still on? I guess I'm not that big of a fan.
You're very welcome. I honestly have no idea either. Haven't had cable for a long time.
I always wait for your videos and share it with everyone who are interested in woodworking.. I wish I could arrange all the tools you have.. but you give me a best inspiration to setup a workshop... thanks a lot for the videos..
cheers..!! happy building
Thank you so much, Parth! That is a huge help. Keep at it and you'll get there one day. Thanks again!
Nice build but the music is giving me a headache..
My bad.
Turned out my DAC was making a scratchy sound for some reason :p
Can't wait to see the channel get big
Me too! Though, 12,000 is HUGE for me.
Can we listen to the finished product, to see how it sounds??
it will only sound as good as the speakers your listening on
You make some beautiful speakers Kirby! Also your build plans are the best I've EVER seen.
It's great his channel is tiny but technical
this was so well put together! great job man.
Thanks so much, Kym!
What you do and how you present it, is almost spiritual! You deserve way more subs :)
Thank you!
he mirado con admiración tu trabajo eres genial eres un bendito en tu arte dios te bendiga
Muchas gracias! Agradezco que ver y por su apoyo.
I have to say of all the channels I sub to lately yours is the one I want updates from the most! Keep up the good work!
That is is the compliment ever!!! Thank you so much, Mark!
awesome work bro..
u might have added some rock wool or glass wool sheets inside the subwoofer cabin..
it will help u to get more good clean bass response by cutting down the higher freq reflections..also u might hve used a good passive network instead of a capacitor ....
An inductor coil network can enhance ur subwoofer also it can filter the higher frequencies entering to the woofer.
it would be nice to hear some kind of after build test. to know that the speakers sound good. can you do a video please of what these speakers sound like?
He doesn't do one because it doesn't sound good
billy bad ass.... inspiring. ...
This video was utterly satisfying! Good Job
Do the speakers in the sound bar need a cross over? Or does the amp take care of it??? I've no idea about this stuff.
Not totally sure but it looks like the plate amp has a built in crossover. I have a Lempai 2.1 plate amp and it has a built in crossover. It seems to be a pretty common feature.
Kirby, the build is great! But your video is visual and aural meditation. Is it possible to get the track somewhere. I have this video on loop. Thanks for amazing content.
I just loved the woodwork. But the song you chose was so loooong and depressing :O.
Someday I'll depress the WHOLE WORLD! MUAHAHAHA!
Oh noes! Haha. Keep up the awesome work!
Me gusta la música que le pones a tus vídeos :)
that is a piece of art!
Thank you!
I dug the video. Solid build, but it was doing the music yourself that got you the like.
I feel like I could be whatching all your videos for ever :O !
Amazing work, keep up!!
Nice creation& good workmanship👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
You should treat yourself to a routerand circle jig. It'll revolutionalise your builds. Proper circles and flush hmount drivers look so much nicer and make tweters sound better.
I have and use both! Great tools.
Seriously, some of the most elegant looking speakers! Thank you SO much for sharing your projects and knowledge with us all!! I hope to build some speakers as nice as yours someday! Superb videography! Some really good shots and angles!
Thanks so much, Kyle!
very beautiful end product
did you calculate the m3 needed for the sub and speakers. no isolation?
Probably not and it's going to resonate the hell out of that cabinet.
you are a genius man
so satisfying to watch
Thanks!
awesome work brother ... I have to admire... awesome
Thank you!
send me one please... same as this one... I would anything for you
give ur mail id I use to make custom speaker designs
it's cubestar8@gmail. com.... what would it cost if I send you money for a subwoofer bulit in amp...and you ship it to India???
tell me the spec u required like sub woofer wattage etc do u need in built battery
Wow fantastic .you deserve more people buying from you ,to support your kraft.Thumbs up.Keep up the good work.
very unique damn good build man its very unique
Very good...
Congratulations from Russia
you are really a artist, the speaker the kind of videomaking, its art. great. i like it
Las cosas bien echas ,bien parecen .Saludos
Easy .... you just need about every power tool that you can thinck of.
cristian821987 I didn't see a domino in use... or a band saw.
cristian821987 think*
que trabalho magnifico parabéns
wow excelente trabajo, con esas herramientas si que provoca trabajar.
amazing vídeo.. please send one of this amazing speakers for my home in Brazil 😀 kk (Sorry about my english)
He’s not giving them away for free
Não passa vergonha no crédito não, passa no débito que é mais chique.
You are a professional!! excellent work!
owww yeah. one of my favorite types of sound system. nice work even thou im about to watch it.
thumbs up brother
Thank you, Pat!
I. would suggest a high quality plywood (baltic birch 9ply or 13 ply) to reduce resonances in the cabinet. For the sub - a high density particle board with outside plywood with internal bracing.
Dude, I just saw four different hands! Are you a magic carpenter from the planet of yug thiw norpa?
Yes the music sounds very interesting good theme for the video!👍👍
Absolutely love the style of video. Great looking sound bar. Keep it up!
That is an absolute masterpiece!
Dang, you're so kind! Thanks for watching!
I would love to see a 7.1 system build
Awsome build! Dat 50mm bokeh tho.
senza parole e bellissimo
I love your work.
Subscribed! Actually a relaxing, enjoyable, and educational experience.
I love the way that sound bar turned out. I didn't see how you attached the speaker baffle. And I'm wondering why you didn't miter the corners on the sub box. I would have liked to have seen the same look with the cherry baffle on the sub box and front firing. Very cool though makes me want to dust off the table saw.
