this channel is so underrated wtf
@mee kai thank you so much for the kind words! Please share with your friends! Mahalo!
Very informative video! thanks alot
You're welcome, hope it helped!
I picked up the 365 uvBeast and a beast it is. Wow. Even comes with a section to add a third 18650 rechargeable battery. It really throws a beam and the heat sinks help cool the bulb. Great light. Any recommendations for an IR torch?
Yes, no complaints from me for the beast! Glad you like it! Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about IR torches. Thanks for watching!
Hey I’m trying to do a neon green drip on my wall(yes ik that’s a lot of paint lol) and I was wondering if putting the white paint over the green would make it pop more. Btw I will be adding multiple layers of paint
Itzzz Mia hello. So you’ll be using the invisible clear paint? If you put the white paint over the green paint, then the green paint will either not show up or be very faint.
I like the red and green. Amazing colors! Have a great weekend!
Same here, have you used this paint before? They’re so vibrant! Thank you and have a great weekend too!
@@UVBlackLights Sir, i have never used uv paint. I only recently bought a harbor freight uv flashlight to hunt for gem stones and minerals here in Arkansas. But according to a previous video of yours, it looks like i got the long wave version. I can't find any info on the flashlight packaging itself, so i looked on youtube for it and found your channel. Cool hat by the way! PS. Finally found out it was a class A uv light. Not sure what that means, though.
Gristle Von Raben ah ok! Yes, the harbor freight UV flashlights are typically in the 390nm. For minerals you want a 365nm uv flashlight. If you need help I can give my opinion on what Uv flashlights you’re looking at. Thanks my wife made the hat, part of my Halloween costume one year 👍
@@UVBlackLights She did a great job. Sir, i am looking for a uv flashlight that does both uv short and long wave, i guess class a and b?
Gristle Von Raben oh good!! I don’t think there’s a Uv flashlight that does both, atleast I’m not aware of any. That would be pretty cool to have though!
Question. under normal indoor condition, without any protection, how long can the paint effect last? Thank you.
@chenlin goh really all depends how much UV is on it everyday. I have paintings that still fluoresce and it’s been a few years. I don’t have UV hitting it daily though.
I'm looking for a paint that we can use on the floor that would react to black or uv light.... The thing would be natural light would have to stay on.... So the black lights and paint would have to be powerful enough to overcome natural light..... Looking for some help and advice
Wildfire paint is the best. Hard to over come natural light with a blacklight really all depends on how much natural light there is. Sorry for the late response I just now seen this msg.
Did you mix the paint with the leveler or did you put the leveler on top? If mixed how much should you add? Thank you 🙏
No don’t mix the leveler. Use leveler once the invisible clear paint is dry. The leveler is a top coat and makes the invisible clear more invisible.
I am a theater guy about to use this paint in a show. Do you know if the typical retail blacklights for sale at say Spencer gifts are in the 365nm range?
If they’re fluorescent then it should be, but the output on those are garbage.
THANK YOU. Sheen Leveler is what I was looking for. I was trying to google clear coats that WOULDN'T block UV and every single google search results was the opposite 😅
No problem at all, glad I can help!
These videos help a ton, man. I've been searching for how to charge red glow in the dark airsoft bbs for hours, unable to find any technical information, but I think a small 365 nm strip is the way.
Airsoft tracers are normally green only or sometimes have a red mode, but would 365nm be able to charge both colors effectively, without switching to 395?
@Dan Drones awesome that is great to hear! I’m not too familiar with airsoft tracers but if they both have the phosphor glow ability then I would go with the 365nm if you want the true color to show. What is your idea with the blacklight strip? Maybe I can assist on that?
@@UVBlackLights That was a fast response! I'm planning on putting a three led section of this strip
store.waveformlighting.com/products/real-uv-led-strip-lights?variant=12339996721254
inside the chamber of a shotgun I'm designing. The idea is to have it charge all the bbs inside before firing. Typically, airsoft has an external tracer unit that mounts to the end of the barrel that flash charges the bb as it flies through, but most don't support red BBs.
I think mounting a small section of 365 nm leds shining into a clear chamber would be able to charge all bbs and colors at once, but I can't find anyone that has already tried something like this. any thoughts?
@Dan Drones if I’m awake I usually respond pretty quickly. In theory it sounds like it would work, I’m no airsoft expert so I’m not sure how much room you have inside to mount. How will you be powering the UV strip?
@@UVBlackLights Either a 2s or 3s lipo, depending on which has a better effect,so the strip will get between 7.4-11.1v
@Dan Drones so do you want to see if it’ll hold the glow charge long enough for your application? If it’s inexpensive and can send me some bbs, I can definitely test it for you?
Okay, I have questions, if someone can answer. I just purchased two 30 watt 365 nm UV lights from ebay for $75 each. The case is almost identical to the ones you're showing in this video, however the LED's look different. I've never owned a 365 nm UV light because they tend to be expensive, but I need them for a Halloween display where I can't have a bunch of visible light. So the moment they arrived today, I unboxed one, took it into the only room in my home that doesn't have any windows, my small laundry room, closed the door and plugged the light in. Instantly the entire room lit up. Like I said, I thought there was supposed to be almost no visible light, but I could read a book in that room with the amount of light I'm seeing. So did I get scammed? How can I tell one way or another if I have no way of measuring the light wave, or nothing to compare them to?
What about these different fluorophospor pigment powders like chopperbeard and glowmania can they make paint?
I’m not too familiar with those brands, but if it’s powdered pigment you can make paint out of it.
@@UVBlackLights type in glow media on google. Lit is the high dollar. I made a vid of the" heavenly white" by chopperbeard art studios but the picture they showed was white with a slight bluish tint which is why I ordered it looked closest to white as I can get but it came and its yellowish green with a slight orange mixed in.
I keep thinkin these pigments are mostly fine powder with a little glow mixed in.
I’ve heard good things about Lit.
The powder is phosphor, which makes it glow in the dark.
Any idea if these paints would apply smoothly to plastic? Say a model car? Also, would you recommend a specific UV light for a very small area. Like a diorama?
@jason brehn yes it should, it is best if you can spray it on vs brushing. If you brush it on, make sure you use thin coats, recommended 2 coats. How big is your diorama?
Very useful. Thanks for the video
Hey can you please share the link where i can buy invisible clear uv blacklight paint. I want blue and red/pink if possible
Hi there, sorry for the late response. You can purchase at wildfirelighting.com.
@@UVBlackLights thanks so much for the response. Your channel is great for UV content.
One more question: do you know if we have any invisible face painting for kids (like blue and pink colors)? If yes, where can i buy them? Thank you🙏
@@mediashare7021 Kryolan used to make invisible face makeup kits, but I'm not sure if they sell them anymore.
@@UVBlackLights thanks so much for the super quick reply. Appreciate it. You are awesome.
Hi! Great video! Would this paint work on a Neca Oogie Boogie action figure? The figure is already green so I would just like for it to illuminate under the black light. Thanks!
@alejandro Reynoso Hello, thank you! What kind of surface is it, plastic?
@@UVBlackLights yes I'm sure it's plastic
Alejandro Reynoso it should be fine, it’s s polyurethane top coat paint, so I would make thin coats, make sure to put atleast 2 coats.
@@UVBlackLights thank you!! I appreciate the insight!
Alejandro Reynoso no problem! Enjoy! Thank you for watching! Please subscribe if you enjoy this content!
What happens under stronger shorter wavelength UV-B?
Depending how far under, then you’ll be in UV-C territory which isn’t safe to be around.
Hi! What color do you think is the brightest of these?
I like the green the best.
What would you recommend for funko pops. Acrylic? Only uv paint or combo of uv and GITD? Please help. Ty lol
@Monty's Pit That is fine, although make sure you air brush it on and use a protective top coat for plastics that doesn't have any UV inhibitors inside it.
@@UVBlackLights so u recommend air brush over hand brush.
@Monty's Pit for something like this yes. If you use a brush it might crack easier.
Hi there. Great video! So I wanted to paint a Mortal Kombat Sub-Zero statue, the ice parts with a blue paint but I want it to be invisible when it dries. But so, this doesn't last forever? Only a few months? Is there a paint that lasts forever? Please and thank you
It should last longer than a few months, unless it’s outside.
@@UVBlackLights okay so basically.... its NOT forever. Thank you for confirming sir. Merry xmas. God bless
@deceptionz187 yeah no paint will last forever. Happy holidays to you.
What would be the best option for UV glue drying and for luminous pigment to last longer?
A good quality 365nm would work best!
Thank you so much ... 😉✌️
@@mizaeltelmont2861 anytime! Thank you for watching!
if you spray on model kits, do they last forever? Or they degrade under natural condition over time?
Really all depends how long UV is hitting it and what kind of conditions they’re in.
Is there a hand held u.v flash light that works.my grand child needs this paint for school and needs to hold the flashlight.plz help us
Yes, there are a bunch of UV flashlights on the market.
So I'm trying to use the black invisible color, but it really doesn't show up against just normal arylic paint. Any ideas on how to make it pop better?
Also i do have the 365nm lamp from wildfire, but my painting I still want some low light normal lighting on it too
@@heymannhowru The normal acrylic paint is best if it is light colors for the black, only thing I can suggest is a couple coats? It might be harder to see if you have other lighting other than a black light.
luv this video! do you know if you can touch them? is it toxic?
@daydreamer04 yes, you can touch it. I wouldn’t paint yourself with it though, is that what you plan to do?
@@UVBlackLights Thanks! I wanted to paint hand prints with the uv paint, is that a good idea?
@daydreamer04 if you do, make sure you wash it off right away. It’s paint so, it might be hard to paint wash off if it drys. Also, I would test a small part of your skin to see if you get any allergic reactions first.
@@UVBlackLights Got it! thanks
daydreamer04 anytime!
I don't understand. Could you please help me? Did you just put white- black light paint all over the painting of the sleeping beauty? Or did you just put the paint on her dress and the stars? I wan to make a painting that looks normal in daylight and that glows with blacklight. Do I need to paint only certain parts of the painting with blacklight, or can I paint the whole painting with this blacklight and you still see the different colors of the areas?
@r te kaat if you want to do a dual image or day to night image then what you do is paint your daylight image in regular non uv paint. Then you use the invisible clear uv paint as your “glow or night time” image. You don’t want to use all uv paint because it takes away from the blacklight nighttime image.
I hope that helps, if not please let me know.
Like the dual paints.
i do too, pretty cool stuff!
Can i ask? im searching for a black paint that turn invisible when it hits the flash light. imagine you hold a paper with letter "A" on it. when you take a picture of the paper. all you have in your gallery is a blank paper picture. hope you kind enough to answer my Question.
Ink that turns invisible when you use a regular flashlight? I’m not too sure about that sorry.
Great video! Where can I find these paints online?
Thank you! You can get these at wildfirelighting.com
Thank you for watching!!
Hey Fooge! (Is that how you spell it? lol!) Great content, super helpful thank you!
I'm finishing up a big acrylic painting for a client. It has a lot of UV paint in it (GloMania Neon), and I'm scared to use any kind of normal gels, levelers and varnishes/etc to finish it because of their UVB protective qualities.
My somewhat time-sensitive question is:
Can I use Wildfire Sheen leveler as a final topcoat over normal acrylics and the GloMania ones?
Or does the formula only work for Wildfire paints?
Also -- how thick is the sheen leveler, does it have surface leveling qualities too?
Thanks so much!!
I'd try it myself but the small bottle is unavailable on their site and I would be risking like $130, kinda hefty risk for an artist!
Next time I'll be sure to get some Wildfires, those look awesome! Super into blacklight painting now!!
Almost, but that’s fine too lol. The wildfire sheen leveler was only really tested with their own paint. It doesn’t have any UV inhibitors inside it, if that’s what you’re worried about. I’ve seen artists apply this over regular acrylic with no issues as well. Would love to see your blacklight artwork!
The sheen isn’t thick at all, it was made for an air gun. I’m not sure what you mean by surface leveling qualities?
@@UVBlackLights Thanks for getting back to me so fast! Ok, that's super helpful, thank you!
@@UVBlackLights My painting Is really bumpy in some parts and not others, due to the GloMania paints I think.
Some of the thick Golden mediums have leveling qualities -- not just the sheen, but the texture! It can be poured or smoothed on, it's really stringy and basically smooths and levels itself out over your painting, creating a flexible enamel-like film.
I'm interested in doing this on my painting, however everything ive seen has UV inhibitors... also I'm not sure how well my blacklight painting will work with a glossy finish? It might just reflect all of the light idk! Have you seen blacklight with gloss or is it best to be satin or matte? There's one possible workaround to that I might do -- adding a cold wax buff as the final layer.
I'd be happy to share my work here once it's finished and photographed! Thanks!
@emily paulsen no problem at all!
I believe you won’t have any issues with the gloss. All the artists I know use the sheen leveler as a top coat and they’re all blacklight pieces. If I can find some sheen leftover would you like to try it? I’ll be glad to send it so you can sample it?
Is there a way to thicken this paint? It looks like it would run down the canvas.
It was formulated specifically for air guns, but you can paint brush it on a canvas as well. My wife uses these paints on canvas with a brush and has no problems.
Hi I wanted to use this for a club what would you recommend please
You want to use the paint? I would recommend Wildfire Lighting paint. store.wildfirelighting.com
I wanted to paint so it’s invisible by day and with neon light on only it will show at night
Ok. Then you want to use the invisible clear paint. Make sure you have a quality 365nm blacklights for this paint or it won’t work.
I'm interested in these paints ,I have an unusual application, I'm a boilermaker and majority of my work is inside dark pipelines and have been doing this for years. The light produced from the welding ark is UVC is it possible to apply paint to my plastic welding shield and even metal tools I am after the after glow. Thanks John K (Melbourne Australia)
Do you know what wavelength is coming from the welding ark? If it has a decent amount of UV coming out, you could try Phosphorescent Glow Paint.
I believe its the full spectrum UVC around 250nm to IR above 700nm, the 100 to 280nm is what gives us weld flash but it also contains the rest of the spectrum
@@johnkantar3082 I would go with the Phosphorescent Paint then.
@@UVBlackLights ok thanks
Would I be able to apply this on top of modge podge?
Yes, you can, but just make sure the modge podge isn't on plastic, metal, glass, any non porous surfaces. Also, you want to prime the surface as well.
@@UVBlackLights can I use any standard primer? I want to put modge podge on my acrylic paint on canvas then apply the uv paint.
@@rachelgenung7816 yes any white primer should be fine.
How well would these paints look on model kits?
I would say pretty good.
How does Wildfire compare to Culture Hustle UV paints?
Wildfire are the leaders in the UV industry. With that said, I believe Culture Hustle are mainly glow in the dark paint, so you'll get more of a variety with them. Wildfire only has one glow in the dark, the common green. Do you use Culture Hustle?
I can’t seem to see your recent comment. Can you DM on IG?
