Thank you!
Nice! Thank you for the tips! I’m doing a closet and I’m definitely trying the jelly fish. Can you do one on a ufo?! Appreciate ya
Closest thing for me would be an octopus 😊
Towards the 9 min mark the music is so loud we cannot hear you. cc doesn't even pick up what you're saying. )=
Ok. Thank you. I am new to all this editing. I’ll make a better one😊
@@kilaartsbykimberly Love the video and step by step, I found it very helpful. Thank you for taking the time and putting in the effort to show us how to do this technique.
Cool working on a purple dragon glow painting rising up out of a blood red sea ,green moon blue clouds...almost like Lucky Charms.
Very interesting.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I am wondering what black light you use? Thanks! :)
I got it on Amazon. 20$. I don’t remember brand....
Love this! Do you only do Jellyfish? Can you do a tutorial on a black light Peacock?
Sure!
@@kilaartsbykimberly Thanks so much! I’m looking forward to it!
OMG the music is so messed up between around 9 to 10 minutes
@ Kilaarts by Kimberly , Is there a certain way to get neon purple or blue to work with blacklight ? I tried and got very very little reaction , since I'm a bigginer I use white paper with no white chalk or paint basecoat.
Use flourescent blue…. To get ppl. Mix in a little pink
Great video! Curious, are all neons black light responsive? Is there an acrylic white that's not black light responsive? I'm planning a big project and have limited knowledge w black light paint. Thank you in advance!
They should be flourescent acrylic paint. I use plain white paint for a base coat. The white is not black light. Let me know if you have any more questions!
@@kilaartsbykimberly thank you! I do have one more question actually. Do clear coats mess w the paints at all? Are there any that won't hinder the black light response?
@@pastaboy12 no they don’t. I have no problem with them
Actually quite difficult to find (good) white, UV reactive acrylic paint (glows pale blue under black light). Also not super cheap. I searched high and low last year…the BEST one I found is ‘Wildfire Optical White Visible Black Light Paint - 32 Ounce.’ Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be available on Amazon right now, but you can buy it on their website at wildfirelighting.com/
Another cheaper, but really good option is ‘UvFx Black Light Medium 250ML - Matte’ (you can get gloss finish as well).
www.amazon.com/Black-Light-Medium-250Ml-Matte/dp/B00LH047B0/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=uvfx+white+black+light+paint&qid=1626211198&sr=8-2
Both of these work really well. Hope that helps.
I am trying to do a painting with regular acrylics and with blacklight paint. So with regular light, you see the one, and turn it off and you see the other. Currently I put down the regular paint first, but I'm thinking thst wad wrong, so before I go and waste paint and time, I am trying to find out how I need to do it. I'm not sure what type of painting it is called, maybe concealed? But, do you have any advice?
You put a base of white first, then the flourescent paint. You can mix in a little regular acrylic with it. Not a lot
@kilaartsbykimberly4108 1st let me say thank you for answering so quickly, and 2nd(not to start a conversation that is not about painting) i am painting a flag. I want it to have normal colors, but when the lights go off, it reveals something else. So, I would mix a small amount of regular color with the black light paint since the black light paint is thin in the color aspect. Am I understanding this correctly? Even though, the black light will is to reveal something completely different? I promise I am not asking the same question in a different way( I hate it when people ask the same question 15 different ways as if trying to see of the answer will change) I'm just trying to make sure I was clear on what I am attempting to do. Again. Thank you.
👍
@Kilaarts by Kimberly , do you use flat or gloss white before the neon ?
Regular white
@@kilaartsbykimberly , Thank you
@ Kilaarts by Kimberly , I tried purple & blue on white copy machine paper with out any base , but the base white I use is flat it's a bistro chalk marker that's more like thin paint.
I use flat
I have a photo digital, which I would like to be printed in UV glow paint, the colour scheme is based on black and RGB only any ideas how can I get it printed in UV glow paint?
I do not. Sorry
Whoa... should have made a tutorial on the octopus at the end
I have those too😊
Do you have to paint the canvas board black? Or you can buy a black board instead
Paint it black! That way if you make a mistake your blacks will match
@@kilaartsbykimberly oh ok understandable thank you 😊
When i was young there was a "hippie house"...they had Blacklight painting partys where everyone "tripped"....i PAINTED E-MC2 on SOME CHICKS forehead! giggle. She was Delighted and KISSED me! Those were the DAYS!😆
The white color is normal or flourosent? Also tnx for video
It’s regular acrylic white. Thank you
Beautiful painting & you as a host are adorable, talented & soothing to watch... but then the time laps music absolutely murders this video. So. Unholy. Obnoxiously. LOUD!
I know! Apologies.
How much is it?
It’s listed on my Etsy😊 I think it’s $25
Do you sell them??
Yes. Thank you. They are on my Etsy site. www.etsy.com/search?q=kilaarts
EDIT this.
Couldnt hear you over the music at times but great video!
Thank you
Yeah so there's a point in this video where you're talking and the music is playing really loud and it's just a mess. Overall the jellyfish looks alright though you said make sure no white paint shows and it does. Also you said this is for an order but, you did not put the background on 1st so are they pleased with this or are you redoing it? If so maybe do a tutorial where we can hear you.
