Everyone's talking about how the murderer should be punished but the focus should also be on the police who mishandled (understatement) the case. They should receive punishment as well, along with all the other police who handle cases in a similar fashion on purpose, believing that they can get away with it just because they're police officers. They treat their occupation as a shield that protects them from anything and use it to persecute the common people.

They had Riley’s father in a tiny, tiny room for fourteen hours. This happened after he’d been awake since four thirty that morning. They berated the man telling him he did it. They wouldn’t quit. He likened it to being in a burning room and there was only one door left to be able to get out. They broke him down mentally. They should be punished just as well. Anyone who assisted in getting him to confess should be in jail. Hell, there were tennis shoes found with the name Eby written on the tongues of the shoes. They could’ve caught this man if they’d all done their jobs. Instead, it took years and years to finally figure it out. Everyone who was involved in this case failed this family and the little girl.
To the people wondering why he only took Riley: firstly he probably wasn't interested in little boys, also he was intoxicated and on cocaine so he probably wasn't thinking straight and didn't have a clear plan, and finally it would've been very hard to take both children. Trying to keep both quiet at the same time would be impossible and he didn't want to risk waking the dad up. This is such a sad story and the way the police handled it was absolutely horrific.
This is when the police who interrogated the dad and forced him to confess should be punished, SHAME ON THE COPS and anyone in the community that hated on this poor guy.

Thank you !! I ABSOLUTELY WAS THINKING THE SAME THING. THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOCUSED IN ON THOSE SHOES GOING AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD ASKING TO COME IN AND ASK QUESTIONS. THEN LOOK TO SEE WHO WORE THAT SIZE AND HAD SIMILAR SHOES. AND I BET THEY WOULD'VE FOUND THAT GUY THE REAL KILLER.. UGH MAKES ME SOO MAD 😠 😡 😤
I watched the hour special about this on investigation discovery last night. It was narrated by the the Fox’s lawyer, Kathleen Zellner. It is such a tragic case that went on too long just because the police were being narrow minded throughout the investigation. According to Zellner, from the moment one of the investigators found the body he believed it was a “staged” crime scene designed to look like an abduction. It was also when they showed the father the never before seen pictures of his daughter’s brutalized lifeless body that he confessed. According to Zellner, it was at that moment his spirit broke and he lost his own will to live. Truly a tragic case and emotional case.
Never talk to investigators without pre approval from your attorney.. Kevin doesn’t look like a creep for nothing. And for the cameras being turn off during or not working during the interrogation was very wrong.. Sad Story
Can yall please listen to the video the man is currently serving 14yrs on another charge not Riley's murder, hence they charged him while he was already incarcerated on another charge.
I hope that the police who mishandled this case and therefore let the real killer prance around killing and raping other little children due to their laziness, are no longer police. They should only be referenced by their DOC inmate number as they were complicit in allowing the real killer to get away by not bothering to do their job correctly and instead badgering a mourning father into a false confession. Anyone else that was harmed by the actual killer in the period of time between this poor baby girls death and his incarceration should weigh heavily on the hearts of the officers as they allowed him to continue. I understand that the father is always a suspect as is the mother if she was there, but that doesn't mean they get to just hang their hats up once they get him in and just focus on breaking him into a false confession. No matter what they should have had someone still looking for alternate theories especially since they knew how they got the confession.
this story is horrible, the murder was atrocious but what her father endured in the hands of police is unbelievable, have you guys read how his interrogation and "confession" went on? The bloody bastard murderer is paying for his crime but what about those pigs???

And 911 was called the day after her murder by someone reporting that there was a person with the last name "EBY" that had made a suicide attempt not far from where the crime occurred!! Instead of doing their job they focused on framing an innocent man so the states attorney could “crack a big case” to win an election. I would never want to be anywhere near that city, how corrupt and disgusting all of them are. Prayers for the family and their babygirl in heaven. Hope that man who did that to her rots in prison and gets worse than what he did to her.
Police botching an investigation or criminal prosecution should be held accountable as criminals. They must be shown to have conducted a proper and professional inveatigation to be exonerated. This case is such a brazen disregard of other people's rights.
Also… This is why it’s detrimental to make sure your home is locked up tight with an alarm set!!!! I have a toddler, and since day one he has been quite the escape artist. Countless times I have been practically asleep with my eyes open, BUT I make damn sure my son is asleep and safe in his bed, (his windows are fake/don’t open) and my house alarm is on!! I live in a very safe neighborhood, but just like this family’s experience…it could happen to ANYONE. My house has baby locks on everything because my toddler has figured out how to get out of the house by himself and turn on the kitchen stove (gas). It’s 💯 best to be overly cautious and protected when it comes to your children and your home. It’s absolutely disgusting what this father went through, however, I find his actions, as a parent, that led up to her abduction extremely negligent.
Why is no one asking HOW she got taken ??? Never says a door or window left open. How did this happen. And also, why after picking up the children did he not put them in bed like a regular parent but lay them in the livingroom ?? I'm sorry but this is weird. Anyone else agree ??
+Breanna Jackson A toddler was kidnapped, raped, and murdered. Her father confessed to the crime after being coerced by the police, but was cleared after his DNA was found not to be a match with the killers. He later won $8 million in a lawsuit against the police. A neighbor, who was on parole later confessed to the crime. His DNA was a match, and a boot was found at the crime scene with his last name written on it.
The thing: a piece of cloth put in or over a person's mouth to prevent them from speaking or crying out. The action: To choke or reject the object traveling too deep in your throat resulting in making a noise (That you make when a toothbrush goes deep in your throat.) put a gag on (someone). "she was bound and gagged by robbers in her home" "a dirty rag was used to gag her mouth" (To make someone unable to breath and suffocate/ Choke to death with some cloth or rag.)
Thank goodness Kathleen Zelner took action. (Dr Judy Mikovitz and orhers have spoken up in another situation, and they need to be heard and vindicated.) also needs The real criminal goes free. When will justice be established with those who badger people to confessions? I personally met a man who was badgered by cops as a boy, and they destroyed his childhood. Thanks be to God he's free now, but the sons of trauma remain.
how exactly did the man entered the house? and how did he know the dad was in his room and that the mom wasn't around. like how did he know to go in that specific house. ? how did he know that no one was with/ nearby the kids.?
He entered through and unlocked back door. His original intent was just home invasion and robbery, the little girl was collateral, unfortunately, and was not the primary target from a textbook I have. It doesn't indicate what he planned on taking, but the videos of the house show the family didn't have much. I assume petty cash, laptops, and MP3 in 2004. Unfortunately, a lot of robberies happen with the family inside asleep, and they never knew someone was in their house, and many of these aren't planned out for more than a quick sweep of the property.
@@Nga_Babaye The guy had a history of sex offences so I wouldnt count on what you read. If he entered the house he must've been watching it beforehand, he could've had his eye on that child for a long time before he committed the crime.
I'd be suing the arse off these Investigators and the woman who interviewed Tyler...... This entire police force should be closed down and replaced with REAL DETECTIVES
+Annamarie Weller It happens more often than you think it would. When you have been interrogated for hours upon hours with no break you (the person being questioned) often times say anything to make it go away and give the people doing the questioning anything they want to hear.
That's also why torturing is ineffective. People just hope that the pain will end if they confess, so they'll confess to anything in order to stop the pain.
That is so bad what happened to the little girl. Why would the dad confess if he didn't do it, but the police can make it worse. How did the real murderer get in the house that morning. you are allowed to have a lawyer. Sorry for the little girl and Family May God Bless

I would never want to be anywhere near that city, how corrupt and disgusting all of them are. Prayers for the family and their babygirl in heaven. Hope that man who did that to her rots in prison and gets worse than what he did to her.
God bless RILEY fox
I all most started to cry this is very sad.😭😢
Police botching an investigation or criminal prosecution should be held accountable as criminals. They must be shown to have conducted a proper and professional inveatigation to be exonerated. This case is such a brazen disregard of other people's rights.
What a monster.RIP beautiful baby girl.
They seem to picked the most unintelligent people for law enforcement.
She Bakes Co....Yes, and with a bully mentality.
Sadly this dear man was just killed in a head on car collision.
Tina Kochan exactly! All the same questions I have!
@@theresamcrae I don't understand how they found a shoe next to jer with a name EBY and still didn't pursue the case
I'm sorry but this story makes no sense PERIOD .
Yah I tried to understand it
+Breanna Jackson A toddler was kidnapped, raped, and murdered.
She's so cute those little brown eyes and hee brown hair
Nasty grown man. What’s attractive in a little girl? I hope the other inmate take care of him
Why would an adult confess to something like this.
Grief and guilt!
Was he a local ? How old was he when he did it ?
To me, that disgusting monster and the cops both disgust me. The cops disgust me how they just believed it had been the father, just disgusting.
Im glad u got justice. but i just don't understand how the father could confess raping his daughter. police is sick too.
There should be a law against this kind of investigation.
How can anyone abuse and molest a 3 year old child. That's disgusting
R.I.P Kevin
Riley's dad, sadly passed away last week from a car accident. Hopefully they're together again.
What does gagged mean?
The thing: a piece of cloth put in or over a person's mouth to prevent them from speaking or crying out.
The action: To choke or reject the object traveling too deep in your throat resulting in making a noise (That you make when a toothbrush goes deep in your throat.)
put a gag on (someone).
"she was bound and gagged by robbers in her home"
"a dirty rag was used to gag her mouth"
(To make someone unable to breath and suffocate/ Choke to death with some cloth or rag.)
DomoNinja101
Oh gosh
ok
thx I guess Ö
Omg poor baby. How can anyone do this to a baby?. I pray Kevin sued and that demon in prison gets prison JUSTICE.
😭😭😭 this is horrible
This sweet baby girl. That sick bastard.I hope that sob gets what he deserves.
RIP Sweet Angel
@@Nga_Babaye The guy had a history of sex offences so I wouldnt count on what you read. If he entered the house he must've been watching it beforehand, he could've had his eye on that child for a long time before he committed the crime.
14yrs? How about LIFE!! He cannot be out on the street!
I'd be suing the arse off these Investigators and the woman who interviewed Tyler...... This entire police force should be closed down and replaced with REAL DETECTIVES
I could never confess to something like this.
Kevin died in a head on accident. RIP Was awarded $8 million. The cops walk away
he. should go away. forever
All violent offenders should never get out of jail or prison. They won't stop!!!! Why was the killer ever released??
Sad
Rest In Peace beloved one may your family and friends find healing and peace. I’m so glad they got the evil monster who did this may he rot in hell
por favor quero um tradutor gosto de ler os comentários
Tf he doing sleeping when his 3 year old up by herself
The proof was written on the shoeso it makes no sense why it took so long to find the killer.
Excuse me people but I'm going to have to leave and go cry.
Why did the dad confess to it even tho he didn't do it? I'm confused at that part..... Why did he confess.... He didn't do it!!!!
They forced the confession, denied him food until he confessed.
*Update. Sadly, Kevin was killed in a head on crash in March of '23. (the other driver crossed into his lane) But his daughter's murderer DIED THIS WEEK!*
14 years only!? What the fuck
So the police found a shoe written Eby next to the body but still ignored it? Who hires these cops?
glasgow is dressed like a used car salesman
Several policemen committed serious felonies and got away with it.
He deserves 30 years at the least
He got life without parole. The 14 years he was serving was for another crime
