This is exactly the idea I needed for my fishing boat, a 50-year-old fiberglass tri-hull. I have no idea of the condition of the plywood under the fiberglass floor so your method is a perfect solution. Thanks very much for the video.
I was looking into adding a seat in the middle of my Sundolphin Pro boat. This boat is made of polyethylene so didn’t want to drill unto the polyurethane foam injected floor. Thought to add wood plate form. Ran across this video searching for reviews on the Millennium Seat. Glad I did. This gives me the solution to adding a third seat in the middle. Btw the hot drill for the holes in the carpet is a smart idea. Melts the hole edges of the carpet to keep the carpet from fraying. Good idea good job!
Thanks for the video! I am going to do this but then mount it down to the deck temporarily. I have to replace the deck and this will be a fix I can use for now.
Hey Michael, loved the video, as always! When you did the first videos about the Millennium seats I bought one for my boat and loved it so much, I bought a second one. I did find a very interesting seat accessory for the seats and I bought two and installed them and they work great! Check out the "kemimoto Boat Cup Holder Boat Caddy Organizer, Drainage & Reserved Installation Hole, Boat Cabin Storage Holder for Marine B100 B200 B300 Boat Seat Storage Caddy" on amazon. (I'm not a rep or sponsored or anything) They bolt right up to the Millennium seats and come with the hardware. Always a lack of cup holders or a place to stash a few lures and this is awesome! My coffee cup fits the cup holder and so does my can cooler. The ones that came with the boat are useless. Keep the great videos coming!

Hey buddy , I’m digging the shirts very much but please don’t wear with camouflage pants Article 12 , section 1 , paragraph 5 § no one shall wear in public sandals with socks , Hawaiian shirts with pants /w a pattern or design and cowboy boots with shorts ! Lol. Repeated violations will terminate your Man Card ! Great idea on the seats so this time will not count ! Lmao. What no LED lighting and beverage holder ? That would be cool !
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina question -- I have a 19’ I.O. Volvo 150hp Volvo outdrive I just picked up ( no nothing about except he said head gasket maybe bad ) do you want to make a series of videos on it from head gasket to fluids to impeller and check out the electrical ? I’ll pay for parts and I could maybe throw a couple of bucks your way for doing it ! I could do it myself but it’s hard getting around with the infection in my legs and getting over shingles and 5 back operations if you say no I totally understand it sounds like something up your ally . I think it’s a Glaspar and I’m having my daughter do the seats and maybe a new Bimini top , I want it for me and my wife to go out and enjoy river scenery on the Saint Croix and Mississippi let me know perhaps a nice antique outboard might interest you like a pretty Waterwitch or restored 67 18hp Evinrude LS or a Martin or Bail-o-matic or P-50 Evinrude or A-75 or a folding Ducktwin lots to choose from !
My email address is in the description on the video, you can send me some pictures of the Volvo and your location, I may be interested in helping you out with your boat. I don't do customer work, I usually only work on my own stuff, that way I will only disappoint myself if it doesn't all go as planned. Send me pictures and we can talk.

Do you think a heavier seat will cause it to fall over when trailering?
It could, I just use the mellinium seats.
beats the heck out of an upside down 5 gallon bucket!!!!
sure does, thanks for watching
I like your new You Tube "platfom"
I got the Millennium seat for my passenger spot on your recommendation. Works great!
Awesome, they are comfortable seats for sure, I need a few more myself. Thanks for watching
Another easy way to find center...
Use a straightedge and draw a line corner to corner

Yep, I knew I was committing a fashion foul but did it anyway. Article 12 is a serious offense, thanks for watching and commenting.
