- Millennium Marine Boat seat installation. These are awesome seats and they are very comfortable. They do not get hot like your standard cushioned seats covered in Plastic or leather and they dry very quickly. I purchased these seats from Amazon and at one point, I tried contacting the manufacturer who makes these in Pearl, MS. That resulted in me being told that someone would call me back and they never did. Hopefully, this video will help you. there are different types of bases, but I chose the screw in base because there were already two of them on my boat.

This is the only video I’ve seen that actually shows the mount underneath the seat. Kudos
Thank you so much Mike Prate.
Just bought these seats and absolutely love them! Always good to see someone do quality work first before I go out and work on the same type of project.
Thank you so much for the compliment. Hope your install went as well as mine.
excellent video. Just bought these seats for my boat and will be installing them soon. Thanks for the video!
Glad I could help!
Nice video! Thanks for sharing the fun.
Thank you Johnny. Glad you enjoyed it. Hope it helped you some.
Good job. Very helpful.
GOOD JOB Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Thank you. Hope it helped you.
Good video man . Thanks for sharing .
Thanks for watching!
Using soapy water in a spray bottle will help the holes and drill bits cut the aluminum. Soap on the screws help too.
There are several companies that make a special bracket to allow for additional seats using one mount so you don’t need to install multiple holes in your deck thanks for the video thinking about add same seat doesn’t look like much but all reviews are positive
Nice video thanks for sharing 😊
perfect. thanks
I just bought the same boat. Plan to install seat base too. But using snap toggle bolts instead bécause after time the shifting and mouvement of weight on the seat leaning back forward Will eventually loosen or pull the screws out from their hole
Appreciate much 👍👍👍Nice job
Thank you Harold.
I have the 1654 also. Just added the same bass pro shop bases tonight, and unfortunately the exact same screws from Lowes. Stripped 4 of them!!
How do you like your boat? I love mine! Sorry it took me so long to respond. Trying to get used to this RUclips control panel. LOL
Hey, loved my 1654, got me everywhere I wanted to be on the river when I was by myself. But on bigger waters or busy waters with wake, and with others in the boat I nearly got swamped a few times. Ended up going to a Tracker Pro Guide v-175. Both great boats! If I could have afforded it, I would have kept the 1654 for skinny waters.
Great job man I am going to do the same thing what size drill did you use for the bid hole?
Nice work I wanna go crappie Fishnwalleye with ya!!
I'm gonna like this video bc I have a 1548 sportsman and I want better seats for catfishing. I also bought the side kick so I wouldn't have to drill holes out. Hope it all fits
Hope it turned out well for you.
Thanks for the video Mr short. I'm actually looking to do the exact same thing to a lowe boat I'm fixing to buy. The only difference is that I'm going to be doing it at the stern. If I may ask, have you had any issues with flexing or causing any damage to the bow? My father is around 280 pounds and even though I'm not going to be using the seat pedestal I'm worried the sheet metal screws will pull through or cause the aluminum to eventually flex enough to break because there isn't a base plate under it. Thanks for your time.
ghost38901 no issues at all. They have held up very well. Thank you for the like and comment. Good luck to you with your boat.
Wondering if you installed those seats and how it worked. One of our riders is 290 and we were going to install them them to the wood topped benches on our Lund SSV. And I wasnt sure how the hardware worked out for you etc. I'm concerned that the screws will pull outnof the beach and notnsurenifnsome kind of a base in addition to a swivel plate would help.
Great video! I’m looking to do almost the exact same thing! Are the screws holding up fine without pulling out or anything? Appreciate your feedback!
Captain Stajze Outdoors yes the screws have held up and not backed out at all.
Do those metal.bars come pre attached to the seat frame?
Hey James, quick question. How are those mounts holding up since this video has been posted? Are those 14x1 screws still holding up tight? No play in the base or anything funky going on after all this time?
This is the exact question I have! I’m needing to do this exact thing on my boat and don’t have access underneath to put a nut and bolt and unsure about the nut inserts.
Andrea Rubio holding perfectly. Thank you for your question.
I am curious to know how well your screws held up or did they stripout?.
I am looking a installing 3 seat base in my shallow water mud boat and there is no way to hold backup on a bolt to bolt it down.
Alex, they have held up very well. No problems at all.
How far apart are the seat bases from center to center of pedestals?
You done a great job just be careful if it’s choppy?
Thank you.
why would you put round head screw in a counter sunk hole??????
Ralph Witt they came with the mounts. They work fine. Just use a big Phillips to put them in.
So that it will miss the inside walls underneath
Hows the screws holding up. I just bought a New grizzly 1754. But i plan to used toggle screws instead
Joe, they are all holding up great. I will probably use Hilti Toggles if the screws ever do get loose. How do you like the boat?
@@crappiefishingmississippi still waiting for it to Arrived at the boat dealer. The boat and trailer has been built it coming from Illinois to California where i lived.as soon as a trucker is ready to head this way. The motor is another issue. Not being built fast enough probally another month or so. But i will pick up my boat and trailer once it arrived so i can start adding other things while i wait for the motor. The motor i got for it. Is a mercury. 15 hp pro kicker 4 blade alot of thrust they used theses motor alot on big boats for trolling. I dont need speed. 25 mph is fine for me and trolling is perfect. Just me and my son.
I hate when I forget to set my "torque" setting on my drill and I do that to a screw :(
It all worked out fine. I replaced it with a new one.
What are you screwing to ? I’ve got the same boat and everyone who I’ve talked to told me I’ll rip the screws right out on the first run
The Aluminum Decking.

I have the same question lol
He tells you what you want to know at 1:07. LOL
