    Great video Peter…ahhh the dirty diesel 😕 From once you said that the engine was replaced and watching the rest of your video I’m thinking “who on earth did it and could be proud of their work”…fair play to you for making a nice car usable again. 👍🏻

      I’d like to know why it was replaced & if it overheated why not do a cylinder head gasket 🤔
      It’s hard to know what is going on at times 🤦‍♂️

      Hey Sandy, the cooler is not too bad to do 2-3 hrs. Intake manifold is a bit more tricky, but I’d say it’s in very capable hands & I’ll look forward to the video 🙂

    Can one assume that because the dpf was mapped out of the software the car was seeing a increase in exhaust back pressure in the cooler but couldn't report it. I've also seen on other cars a mass air flow fault being generated due to lack of air flow as the exhaust gasses couldn't escape the cylinders quick enough so less new air going in.

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 года назад

      My thought was that the low pressure egr system is used at higher rpm than the high pressure egr and that it opened slightly at around 2.5k rpm and with the exhaust flap to aid egr flow but couldn’t get a reduction in air flow due to cooler being blocked. But I will total put my hands up to not having a clue what is going on at times 🤦‍♂️
      You theory is just a good though, I happy once it is fixed & gone 🤞👍

    What's a nightmare trying to unravel what other garages have done to iit before it came to you . They've obviously flashed the ECU with a modified file trying to resolve the fault that was originally there.

    • @kennedysgarage3281

      Exactly Myles, I don’t like things being deleted. It make the repair process so much harder when something decides to kick up 😬

    Superb video. Obviously I’m going to come across this problem. How many hours would you estimate for stripping, cleaning and reassembly Peter, taking diagnostic out of the equation?

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 года назад +1

      To be realistic Trevor I would say 8 hrs in total, i took it apart and then had wait 3-4 days for a dipstick tube but I would estimate 8 hrs. Thanks Trevor 😉

    Hi Peter I have a transit 2.2 mk8 getting the same code. no lights on dash just check engine msg. and goes to idle tick over. Seen every video on here. checked harness leads all fine. Actuator is built in electronic no vacuum visible. Have had adblue heater problems in the past, stealers just changed it. Has popped up once(Reductant heater out of range) in the last week with p2563 code. Looks like I may have the same problem as Skoda. I have vibration 1500rpm to 2000rpm. Could it be the vanes sticking on carbon. Any advice would be great.

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  5 месяцев назад +1

      It could be the veins sticking, if possible remove the bar joining the actuator to the veins and see 🤔🤔🤔

    You ever a change an electric handbrake switch in a 2011 Hyundai i40 before? Can’t find any information on it just wondering is it a big job or not..

    • @kennedysgarage3281
      @kennedysgarage3281  2 года назад +1

      I cannot remember specifically but I do have a gut feeling that I done one at some stage and I believe it was plug & play. That is the case on most of the handbrake switch I can remember, it is just a position switch. 🤔
