We unbox & set up the new Roland TD-25KV e-drum kit and show some of the module's stock sounds in action.
The TD-25 module offers some nice features such as:
- Very realistic playing feel & "superNATURAL" sound engine from it´s "bigger brother" Roland TD-30
- positional sensing on the snare drum
- quick & easy selection/editing of drum kits and single instruments
More info on the TD-25 module:
www.drum-tec.de/roland-td25-vd...
You can find the TD-25K and the TD-25KV kits in our online shop, as well as combinations of our drum-tec diabolo e-drums with the TD-25 module:

The whole jam and every kit blew me away such a great drummer and for not using a double bass man you are working that pedal! Amazing
Hey Kenny, thank you very much, glad you liked it! :)
I’m AMAZED by your pedal skills. You just made me like ten times more this drum kit!
Thank you very much! :)
That is the only problem I have with his playing. He is AMAZING at covering the awful sounds, lack of depth and some machinegunning with the way he plays. He's probably my favorite drummer to just listen to play drums without a track but sometimes you need to hear the flaws that will show up when we mortals play them. ;)
Dear Santa.......
Patrick E. lol u wish
No offense just a joke
LOL😄
just ordered my set, cant wait for it to get here! I have a acoustic drum set; but sadly have not been able to play it. So ready to take my drumming to the next level with this drum set.
I cant wait to get this set!
Awesome drum kit! love it!
Yes, but even better with the 13" drum-tec diabolo snare! ;-p

Awesome!! I really want to buy this one, it sounds absolutely amazing! Your drumming is perfect too, I want to be able to play those sextuplet fills! I think I’d be able to play them, but I’m not sure what it is you’re playing and how often you use the bass drum in the patterns. I’d be really gratefull if you could give me an example like: RLRLBB (Right, Left and Bass Drum). Thanks!
Goated on the stixx
Whatever that means... ;)
hey drumtec, do you have any helpful tips for setting up the drums? I am having problems figuring out the best way to adjust everything. It felt natural when I played it at the store but it feels a bit awkward at the moment.
Good drum
nice drumming
thank you!
that is awesome! can you suggest a double kick pedal to use with that as well as a PA? I'm confused on what sort of monitor to use to get the best sound for playing loud. thanks
You can check out the drum-tec double pedal if you like over here:
www.drum-tec.de/hardware/pedals/774/drum-tec-dp-2021tw-double-bass-drum-pedal-9200-series?c=275
We also do offer several monitoring options for e-drummers:

If you have any more specific questions, please get in touch with our service team through info@drum-tec.de directly. Kind regards!
Awesome video! Is the rack big enough to fit in a KD-120 pad?
Oh, Lord Jesus, you know how much I need this set. Thank you. Amen!!
Is there an Update to this module that makes the click come out your headphones and NOT the PA at the same time?
Awesome drumming dude! I'm picking one up tomorrow. What are you using for laptop and connecting devices? I'm in need of good recording equipment
+xRiseAgainstx Macbook pro, and you need a nice little audio/midi interface. A lot of possibilities in that market, but you might check out these in our shop:
www.drum-tec.de/vst-hard-software-usb-audio-interfaces-c-231_249.html
This kit sounds awesome! Btw what foot technique do you use ? this speed is insane
Thank you very much! It´s heel-toe technique. Kind regards
Nice... A question, did you tweak the trigger settings in any way? ... My maple snare doesn't sound with that definition. Mine it's like too ringy and no cranck ... Any idea why? Thx
sweet drum moves ayyyeee lol
How did you set up that overhead camera angle? It looks great!
+BarberStrizan Thanks, just a tall stand behind the kit :) Regards

Ralf Schumacher: YOU ROCK
Thanks Francisco! :)
Would you think this drum kit still holds up in 2023? Regarding triggering sensitivity midi info mostly. I’d be running it though drum software anyway
can you make an unboxing video
Hi Guys, great vid.
I have a room of 2.42m2 by 1.35m2. Is that big enough for this kit?
Is it possible to move a top Tom and side mount it as another floor Tom?
Hello. nice video, really. I'm sorry what kind of subwoofer you would recommend for my td25kv and you, in this video, what did you use (I refer to boxes etc ..). Thanks for the reply.
Hi Roberto, I didn´t use any amplification in this video (only headphones). You can find some nice options over here:
www.drum-tec.com/accessories/monitoring?p=1
The LD Systems setups work & sound pretty well for the price! Kind regards
Awesome! How did you record this???
Thank you! It was recorded from the stereo out of the TD-25 module straight into an audio interface to Logic Pro Audio (Mac). Cheers
Damn your set sounds like acoustic set ones I have been asked to play sound like kids toy yet are $2,500 Rolands.
In 2022 would you still view this kit as a good buy for $1800 US? Looking to pick a used one up but a little concerned about it being discontinued and it being an older model.
I just creamed my paints. Thanks for the video
Do I get the exact same sound on my headphones while playing? Or is this postprocessed?
Nice beat i going to get a drum soon thanks
How you can use the USB???? I have a roland 25kv and My module can't read my usb. Can you help me please???
can you share the spacial dimensions this kit takes up, including throne? trying to see if I can fit it into my apt
The drum-tec silence mat below the TD-25KV in this video is 140 x 180 cm, hope that helps a little! Kind regards
Have they changed the rack? Other versions I've seen have the front legs closer together.
Hey Russell, that might have been a TD-17 based kit, which has the smaller MDS-compact rack. For the TD-25KV, it has always been the same rack size (formerly "MDS-9V," now "MDS-Standard") as far as I know. You can find info on all rack models over here:
www.drum-tec.com/hardware/racks?p=1
Kind regards!
hey dude nice vid. can u advise me which interface is good for recording drum? I want to record it in cubase. thnx
Hey there, you can have a look at the Roland UA series over here:
www.drum-tec.de/vst-hard-software-usb-audio-interfaces-c-231_249.html
You can choose your model depending on how many inputs/outputs you actually need! Kind regards
thnx a lot
krasse Fußtechnik
Thank you! :)
Can add anyone explain what the extra "echoey" tom sounds are around the 1:33 to 1;35 mark? Sounds like there are sounds coming out of no where
What drum software r u using? Cuz I know Roland snare doesn't sound like that
+Samuel Kajah No additonal software/triggering in there. Just straight forward recording of the Roland stock TD-25 kits! What snare drum are you referring to? Regards
drumtecTV The snare just sounded better than I expected it to. The maple kit btw
+huub83 Hi, yes it´s a pretty basic audio interface, which records the stereo mix of the module main out! Regards
@Huub83 Drums I have this set and I just use the headphones port plugged into the audio interface
@@eliasjordan9484 does it sound this good? I'm looking to buy a used kit and this is the best sounding video for the TD-25. If it really does sound this good stock, then I'm in.
I wanted this kit but I don’t have it can you give me yours
santa pls
have indian tone in all roland electronic drumkit?
There was little on how to set up, despite your title. It is that intuitive?
Yes, and it comes with a manual :) Kind regards!
Hello,
Altough in separate boxes, the rack MDS-9SC is included in the TD25KV kit right ?
Mirak M yes my friend
+Mirak M Yes.
It was with the td25k box too :-p
+Mirak M Yup lol. The TD-25KV merely has an additional 700-1000$ worth of hardware, same kit otherwise :)
Can you change the setup in this drum? I mean like... Put one of the tons in the floor, in a floor tom position? I prefer the one rack tom and two floor tons configuration like the Bonham's drum kit.
And I have to say it... You're such a good drummer.
@@gustavorizada8174 Thank you very much Gustavo! You can find more drumming/music on my personal channel too if you like:
ruclips.net/user/digitaldrumming
Yes you can change the setup of the kit, you might also get any custom kit configuration with modified pad setup/rack etc. from drum-tec. Feel free to get in touch through experts@drum-tec.de for further assistance and an indidual quote on any custom kit configuration incl. international shipping if you like. Kind regards!
I just bought this kit, finally got it all set up, and it sounds terrible. Did you do anything out of the box differently? I literally set it all up and plugged and started to play and it sounds horrific, cymbals can barely be heard, the bass drum can NOT be heard at all, and it is very frustrating.
I heard it was a Roland power supply issue just need a new adapter
What speakers do well with these?
You can have a look around here if you like:
www.drum-tec.com/accessories/monitoring?p=1
Kind regards!
How do you attach a bass pedal to the bass pad? Please help!!!!
Yumpewpsoup :/ do you have this exact setup?
Armando Serrano i have the same bass pedal setup. I just cant figure out how to connect it
can I know what speaker you use? also did you change the sensitivity and other mix?
+Benjamin Oh Zhi Xian hi, there is no speaker involved. the sound you are hearing is the directly recorded sound from the td-25 module. sure, you have to adjust all of the trigger parameters to perfectly fit your personal style of of playing and dynamics! cheers
Any idea what how to make the cymbal ring from slow to loud? Like when you end a song. What sensitivity you use for the cymbals? I just used it for a youth concert recently. Cant really get it to ring properly. Even I hit the rim of the cymbals is like hitting a cymbal with a tip.
Pm-10
What’s the difference between the k and the kv ?
Please see over here:
www.drum-tec.com/roland-td-25kv-advanced-v-drums-set
www.drum-tec.com/roland-td-25k-tour-v-drums-set
The "K" version doesn´t have the 2nd crash cymbal & has PDX-6/8 tom pads instead of PD-85bk/PDX-100. Kind regards!
Hi Guys.Is it possible to assign any module sound to the snare, tom's rims on td-25k..I just can't find the answer anywhere...
thanks in advance
+Sebastian Sebastian ruclips.net/video/dTTy2Gss8zY/видео.html
You can find some answers in this video. "Splitting" sounds on tom head/rim unfortunately is not possible on TD-25.
how many triggers can you connect???
Fulasdrums
what is triggers?
What is the formula supported by td30
What do you mean exactly, I am not sure I understand... :)
Can you provide the info of song playing please.
+Ona Music The Song is not available anywhere for download yet. Composed & Produced by the Spytunes Studio in Mainz, Germany. Hope you like it? Regards
I bought this model last week along with a double kick upgrade.. I can't figure out how to get the high close enough to the snare with the left kick pedal forcing it so far from the snare that my left stick hits the bottom of my right hand. 2 solid weeks of moving the drum pads around and still no success. I'd really love to be able to play mine soon :/
+Erick Donaldson It's been 7 months so I'm sure you've figured this out. However, out of curiosity I have my TD-25KV on the way, and I purchased a Gibraltar 9608 Throne (seemed to be best for my needs) : www.amazon.com/Gibraltar-9608-Drum-Throne/dp/B000B6DU3C?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01
As well as a DW CP3500T Two-Leg hi-hat stand (to allow for room for the double bass pedal) : www.amazon.com/DW-DWCP3500T-2-Leg-Cymbal-Stand/dp/B003HRA77O?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
And finally the DW 3000 Double Bass Pedal - www.amazon.com/Drum-Workshop-SERIES-DOUBLE-PEDAL/dp/B003H8Z732?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
I chose the DW 2 leg hi-hat stand to ensure definite "compatibility" fitment with the DW 3000 Double Bass pedal.
In this video they didn't go with a double bass,.. so they have a 3 legged hi-hat stand,.. But the hi-hat should be right next to your snare,.. the only problem I can think of would be if you bought a 3 legged hi-hat stand (or had one) and are trying to fit it with a double bass pedal. There are always issues with that on an E-kit or not (unless the legs rotate).
Bottom line: Was that the case? Or did you still have problems getting your hi-hat close to your snare even with a bi-pod (two leg) hi hat stand?
I'll be assembling my kit tomorrow, so merely curious how you got on.
+Ikos Log I've gotten it closer, shortening the cross bar and angling the left pedal outwards helps once you adjust but it's still not quite at a comfortable distance which means i'm still having to awkwardly keep my right arm elevated while using the high hat but not as badly as before. I moved the console to the left side of the horizontal bar with a moderate increase in comfort instantly. I chose the 3 leg, it doesn't get in the way but it's snug fit.
My throne is a Mapex Saddle Top Double Braced Drum Throne T575A: mapexdrums.com/international/products/hardware/thrones/saddle-top/t575a/
My Pedal is a Mapex Mars Chain Drive Double Bass Drum Pedal P600TW: mapexdrums.com/international/products/hardware/bass-drum-pedals/double/p600tw/
I'm not sure if you've used V-Drums before or set them up but my advice would be to keep every horizontal support bar as high as possible and have your outside support legs tightened at full height. Then you don't have to worry about them at all when adjusting pad heigh/angle, your pads slide mounts will do everything you need. Good Luck! If you find out any tricks in comfortable playing I'd appreciate hearing about it when you've gotten used to playing and feeling out the little adjustments.
There is ONE built in song to play along with. Live it, Love it. It's an old school clean rock riff looped
+Erick Donaldson Thanks for the advice. About how long does it take to set up the TD-25K start to finish on assembly? 30 mins? Hour? more?
Out of the box and if you read the instructions to put it together it's about 1-2 hours.
+Erick Donaldson Thanks Erick. I just spent the last 3 hours re-arranging, removing, and such the room I'm putting the set in. Now trying to muster the energy to put it all together lol. Do you play yours as a hobby, do you gig/in a band? IE: How often do you play your set? Also, I purchased several sets of the sticks (5A's and 7A's) I used to use when my band played years back on my regular kit (that is at my fathers house in a building rusting :( ) .. How durable have you found the snare and pads in particular?
TD 25
Electronic?
Well. Compared to the price, the sound of the module, is really not my cup of tea. I mean, you can get better sound with just Addictive Drums, and a cheaper E-Kit... Cool drumming though :-)
A cheaper E-Kit won't trigger as well with said VST's and plugins.
Very true! :)
should i buy this?
+waksibra well It´s up to you, and it would be best to test it before buying. You can have a look at our drum-tec shop if you want: www.drum-tec.de/roland-td25kv-advanced-vdrum-set-p-2686.html
+drumtecTV Is it possible to assign rims a different noise than what's on the drum head?
Also, can we assign the multiple zone cymbals as different cymbals per zone?
+Chase Gardner ruclips.net/video/dTTy2Gss8zY/видео.html
this one clears up a few things! ;)
waksibra
did you get them?
TD 25 i love it thing I DO ON IT
İs that including hihat pedal
I dont think so
My dream... id have to sell my car and all my belongings tho:)
:-D but it´s worth it! ;)
Does it come with a hi hat stand
+john doe no it doesn't. it also doesn't come with a foot pedal. but most drum shops that carry the td-25kp also carry kick pedals and hi hat stands.
4 grand fucking crazy would love one not for 4 grand tho..i play em at guitar center
Hi, here in europe/Germany it´s not 4 grand...
www.drum-tec.com/roland-td-25kv-advanced-v-drums-set
Kind regards!
Se puede utilizar con Bluetooth?
Hey Luis, the TD-25 module has no bluetooth option sadly. Only the newer models (TD-17, TD-27) do. Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV thanks for the reply! 😃
@@luishernandezpineda2293 You're welcome!
is pedal the pedal included ???
+hedy vanhaute for this yes £1800-1900
+hedy vanhaute Hi Hedy, no the foot pedal & the hi hat machine are not included in the standard TD-25KV kit:
www.drum-tec.de/roland-td25kv-advanced-vdrum-set-p-2686.html
the drum pad is included right?? just have to buy the pedal and the hi hat stand.
+hedy vanhaute shure, it´s the Roland KD-9 and is included. HiHat pad is Roland VH-11 (included), you just need the additional hardware. Regards
thanks but I live in the U.S I went to Guitar Center and they said that the hi hat stand is not included. still thanks loved your video you play well
Can you add another symbol to this?
Yes, the TD-25 sound module has another trigger input left. Kind regards!
Its like...……...Show boxes, show product outside the boxes , Show drummer playing drums. did I miss the setup?
Well, actually there is not much setup to do besides setting up the kit & connecting cables for playing :) what would you like to see more?
Bateria tem um som top. Mas fui ver o preço quasé chorei kkkkk kkkkk Brasil
the ride seems..... quiet
Hi, you can obviously adjust any instrument volume according to your personal preference inside of the TD-25 sound module. Kind regards!
The ''funny'' thing is that...those two big boxes cost more that 2.500$...
Yes, but luckily they contain a great working & sounding electronic drum kit! ;) Wouldn´t wanna spend that much on boxes only...
Good grief...a creator replied to me...anyhow...I recognize that it is an amazing set of drums [that I would kill for (of cource not)] and nothing else...XD...btw, I loved the vid :)
You should feel lucky, I would have to pay around $4.000 for this drum kit in my country.
Am I the only one going against the grain and thinks the TD-25 sounds better than the TD-17???
I upgraded my 2009 TD9 and with superior drummer 3 I can safely say it' better than this kit. VH11 Hihat is one of the best out there if you don't have a post 2015 drum brain.
dirty on metal live lol tasty ummm lol
Once upon a time I wasted $2,499.99 on the Roland TD-15 KSV kit.
It was the worst 'instrument' I have ever touched in my life (drums, guitar, bass, and classical included).
I was on the phone with Musician's Friend within only 2 hours of setting it up, to get my full refund.
Now that kit has since been taken off the mark completely, (thank God) but the event was so indescribably horrible and infuriating that I fear ever trying to get a new Electric kit, and especially fear giving Roland another chance.
(and this is coming from a person who Owns and Plays an old Roland TD-3 model Electric kit daily).
-
Now I know that is the same kick drum pad so I know it's useless and doesn't allow double pedals to be hooked up to them; but that's ok because, I can always buy a different one afterwards, (considering I would have to buy the hi hat stand Extra anyways).
There is just one major issue I have that is repealing me.
If you can answer 1 simple question for me, I might consider giving Roland another chance.
"Can you adjust the sensitivity so that a light hit and a hard hit are near equal in volume?"
-
If I can't do a Gravity Blast Beat on the snare, the kit is worthless to me. To do that technique I need the sensitivity to be very high so that I can do light-impact hits and it come out Full volume, instead of quiet/soft ghost hits.
+TylerNOS386277 Sorry to hear about your negative experiences, best thing would probably have been to test the instrument before ordering at your local electronic drum dealer. We have hundreds/thousands of very satisfied cunstomers who play Roland kits or our drum-tec pads (real acoustic size bass drums f.e.) with a Roland module. Maybe you should give it another try one day, every trigger setting on the modules is fully customizable, so I´m not sure if I get what your main problem actually was.
confused by this comment as it's pretty obvious that you can attach a double bass pedal to the kick pad...
There isn't really an unboxing..
but i do like the video of course
Well, we showed all of the components coming from the boxes directly to make it somewhat quicker :) kind regards!
Hhhhh
