    Dude got robbed, but should be very thankful he's alive, reaching like that with no cover and them already having the drop on you is usually a deadly mistake.

      But you literally cant tell the difference tho? Why would I take the risk?

    • @AP3XZ3R0
      @AP3XZ3R0 Год назад +1

      IMO ur putting yourself more at risk if armed and going for it when they have the gun already aimed on you... especially out in the open with no cover to duck behind and more then one. Yes fully compliant victims get shot and killed, in most of those it's a personal issue and they rob then kill em as they already were planning on murdering the victim. Most armed robbers aren't killers because even they know that law enforcement will react will full force and the sentence will be much more severe. So yes defend yourself if you got the opportunity, but I would rather take my chances by complying fully if they had the drop. They care about their life way more than anything else.

    This video taught me two valuable lessons: First, if a car (or person) is suspicious enough to be defeating garment, they are suspicious enough to justify having a full grip on your gun. It would've been wise to have already defeated his garment with a full grip, ready to draw before the bad guy even got out of the car. And, second, appendix carry is best whenever you can conceal it!

    Ok, I think it is obvious, it def was to me. That seemingly (not so seemingly) innocent lady who just walked off ever so calmly was in on it, this kind of thing happens ALL the time in South America. I'm totally surprised that I haven't seen one comment in the comments section here pointing this out.
    Now it is possible that the thieves saw the gun as they were pulling up since he was reaching, but to me (after watching this part several times) it seems like they had foreknowledge that he was packing because they both went straight to the guy with laser-like tunnel vision. And it wasn't like he had the firearm exposed for a significant amount of time, and it was on his other hip away from their immediate view. Don't get me wrong, I understand they could have saw it and that's how they knew he had it. I personally think that that girl tipped them off to his gun.
    I am absolutely sure that the way that the lady just walked off made it pretty clear that she knew the guys, notice she didn't run or show much of any fear at all. I am sure they knew from the get-go that he was packing because right away as soon as they got out of the car they had their guns trained on him, and moved very purposefully against the guy. Now that gun is probably used to commit some heinous crimes... Sad.
    I'm surprised John didn't see that...

      Incorrect. The phone is the target in most of the moto robberies in many Latin American countries. Unlike the USA, phones in Latin America cannot be locked using your phone number. Your phone number is attached to a SIM card. The phones can be resold and reused by simply putting in a different SIM card (unless it's an iphone). A new SIM card with a new unregistered number only cost the equivalent of $2 US. The phones cost more in their market than they do in the USA. In general, iphones are the exception because of the find my iphone feature.
      Most random people do not have enough spare cash to make the moto robberies worthwhile. When cash is sought, they rob businesses. For easier prey, they hunt for android cellphones.

  • @DavidDavyDavidson
    @DavidDavyDavidson Год назад +2

    The victim was paying attention though. He was aware of the potential danger and pre-staging a draw. He simply had no time between observing a deadly threat (perp walks beyond car door, revealing gun) and responding before the moment the perp has him between the sights. No draw would have been fast enough. You guys give cops a ~1.5 second lag of time between observation and trigger pull. This guy had only 1 second for observation, draw, and trigger pool. In what kind of fantasy land could draw time have improved this situation?
    It was an unwinnable situation. He couldn't draw. He couldn't evade (excluding human shields). His best survival option was to comply, avoid telegraphing his gun, and counter ambush if they don't find and take it.

    He did the right thing, 2 guns vs 1 is no match at all. Unless he draws super quick like John Wick lol

    a lot of people who *do* train are walking around with faulty information in their head. It doesn't matter what your fastest draw in a range session is, it matters what you can produce cold at 160-180BPM heart rate with 90% consistency. How many people know what their times are under those conditions? Very few.

    The way they jumped out, I believe they knew this guy, or knew of him. It seems, they knew he was armed based on their strategy.

    Is "hip fire" practice viable in a situation like this?
    Is it worth it to try, even with practice, to attempt?

    He drew with one hand, he should have dropped his phone immediately and used both hands to clear and draw. People are obsessed with their cell phones.
