Dude got robbed, but should be very thankful he's alive, reaching like that with no cover and them already having the drop on you is usually a deadly mistake.
IMO ur putting yourself more at risk if armed and going for it when they have the gun already aimed on you... especially out in the open with no cover to duck behind and more then one. Yes fully compliant victims get shot and killed, in most of those it's a personal issue and they rob then kill em as they already were planning on murdering the victim. Most armed robbers aren't killers because even they know that law enforcement will react will full force and the sentence will be much more severe. So yes defend yourself if you got the opportunity, but I would rather take my chances by complying fully if they had the drop. They care about their life way more than anything else.
I see your point, and he is lucky indeed, but this video was this year, robbers know there are more CACs around and they know some CACs may be relatives with criminals, also they know this socialist corrupt government that it is in power will keep bringing CACs numbers down, so criminals are a bit more lenient with armed people, unless they KNOW it is an off duty officer…
That was a setup. The lady in stripes set him up. They didn't take her property. They didn't address her at all. They gave her their backs. They happen to run up on the guy who has a gun.
I have to agree with you. The perps were far to efficient in controlling the others which makes it hard to believe they would disregard her so blatantly 👍🏻
Absolutely this was a setup! The dude in the back could not have seen what the big guy was doing unless he KNEW he was armed. The tip off is like you said, the robbers completely ignored her. The one crook even bumped into her, like he KNEW she wasn't a threat. She was definitely in on it.
In the guys defense, he starts to go for his gun before he sees that the perp has a gun. His hands is on his gun while the bad guy is still behind the car door. Other than paying better attention i think he did okay tbh. Those robbers were on the ball.
He didn’t do ok. He’s carrying behind his back which is a slow draw any day. He’s fat so he can’t carry appendix. No point in carrying if you’re not fast. All attacks are ambushes.
EXACTLY. John and Neil should have addressed the flipside of not drawing too early, before you can confirm the deadly threat. Otherwise, you risk brandishing charge.

As he should. He made a mistake. Which was not being aware of his surroundings. If you live in an environment where this happens he should have known to be on point

@@AP3XZ3R0 exactly. Either don't go for it and comply or if your gonna go that far, pull shoot and hope your dealing with robbers not killers. I agree 100% no upside to the middle ground decision.

If he’d continued that draw that guy was going to fill him full of bullets. Lesson here is don’t let one error lead to another error. Glad they’re all ok minus some replaceable items.
Situational awareness and not being glued to his phone would've given this dude a much better chance of getting the drop on these guys and not getting robbed of his gun and wallet.
I'm happy they were not hurt!! Cause honestly there are some sick criminals out there who would literally shoot someone for even attempting to reach like that. But clearly these dudes where more interested in what they could get instead of who they could end. May God bless the victims, they're still alive and well. 🙏
I think that the car robbers barely beat the motorcycle team that was also about to rob the couple. You can see them stop, realize what was happening, and then run off in the background. Plus, the gekko up in the top left corner was awesome.
The guy running from the moto is the smartest one in this scenario. Looks like he tries to tell the driver lets go but he didnt react so he saved his own asp!
This video taught me two valuable lessons: First, if a car (or person) is suspicious enough to be defeating garment, they are suspicious enough to justify having a full grip on your gun. It would've been wise to have already defeated his garment with a full grip, ready to draw before the bad guy even got out of the car. And, second, appendix carry is best whenever you can conceal it!
Ok, I think it is obvious, it def was to me. That seemingly (not so seemingly) innocent lady who just walked off ever so calmly was in on it, this kind of thing happens ALL the time in South America. I'm totally surprised that I haven't seen one comment in the comments section here pointing this out. Now it is possible that the thieves saw the gun as they were pulling up since he was reaching, but to me (after watching this part several times) it seems like they had foreknowledge that he was packing because they both went straight to the guy with laser-like tunnel vision. And it wasn't like he had the firearm exposed for a significant amount of time, and it was on his other hip away from their immediate view. Don't get me wrong, I understand they could have saw it and that's how they knew he had it. I personally think that that girl tipped them off to his gun. I am absolutely sure that the way that the lady just walked off made it pretty clear that she knew the guys, notice she didn't run or show much of any fear at all. I am sure they knew from the get-go that he was packing because right away as soon as they got out of the car they had their guns trained on him, and moved very purposefully against the guy. Now that gun is probably used to commit some heinous crimes... Sad. I'm surprised John didn't see that...
