As a legal scholar (masters in jurisprudence and doctoral candidate), the problem I have with your comment is, too many black men will take that comment and use it as a means to justify their wrong doings.

T.I. just came out supporting the actual message of what Kanye was saying. The 13th Amendment does still allow for slavery for prisoners. The Washington Post also clarified what Kanye was saying as well. Kanye is correct that the 13th Amendment still allows for MODERN SLAVERY in America. I was unaware until Kanye tweeted about it. Ebro and Rosenberg as usual are wrong, out of touch, and should consider retirement.
Watch the 13th amendment on netflix. It shows how the government used that loop hole to target minorities for justifiable slavery

Any reasonable non-biased watcher of this video would see how clearly how Ebro and the crew attempted to obscure that point. Out of touch by not advancing the point of indeed amending the 13th to do away with this modern form of legal slavery in America. Despicable.

Kanye is preaching the message of Dr. King which is LOVE. I like what Kanye is talking about. Yes, Kanye is rough around the edges but that is what makes Kanye who he is. He's got the guts to say what's on his mind WHATEVER the consequences. At present all I see is he's spreading a message of love and getting prisoners out of jail early. Kanye has my full support.

Kanye says it on social media on traditional media and live and in person be it the SNL stage or talking with people one on one. Kanye spreads love and takes the hate sent his way from the weak and fair weather cowards as though their hate was nothing. When Kanye goes off in the wrong direction I'll gladly call him out but so far all I see is him wearing a tacky hat that is meaningless to me but if he can get more prisoners released then Kanye's got my full support.

Re: Prisoners - It was a gratuitous gesture from your President. (Which we all appreciate. MANY have been campaigning behind the scenes for this. And it is great that Kim put her face to the gesture. (Her large fan base bought more eyes in that direction. - Hopefully they will surge towards action ).
However, I think we should push for the greater good, and aim at mass Prison Reform and changes in the legislation.
