What I admire most about Steve is not his killer strength or phenomenal physique, it’s the fade. I’m glad Steve knows better than to go to Sports Clips to get a haircut
Congrats bro! Cannot ever go wrong with any Ford trucks. They are legendary for a reason. BEST SELLING vehicle of ANY type in USA 42 years straight. Good basic maintenance w/ "full synthetic motor oil" only/Motorcraft filters exclusively/ they last forever. All we own! F150 Platinum FX4 & new Ranger XLT FX4 added recently. #Ecoboost #Roush #Raptor #Platinum
My friend bought a ford f150 a few years ago and she paid like 55,000 for all the bells and whistles( leather seats, sun roof, trunk cover and the touchpad thing.)
billy heaton Snowflake, the guy from Norway said the truck was $200k because of taxes. That’s Bernie’s utopia. No one except the elite can afford anything. Equality.
totoIV For the extra $120,000 what do they get in return? And that’s just the truck. This 300% price increase goes for everything else you buy too, homes, food, clothes, etc.
I have been waiting for this video every since you asked what truck should I get 6 months ago. I own and 1st Generation Raptor (V8 motor) and I think you made the right choice with the V8 Roush. That sound of the V8 Roush engine makes is a big thing versus the 2nd gen Raptor sound of a kitten playing with a ball or yarn plus the price and the addition of a bolt on supercharger down the road makes your choice a no brainer. Have fun with your new vehicle.
Bowen Leonard Steve is a prettyboy though. He wanted something fashionable as well as capable of towing. Ordinary F series trucks are too common and just plain. Not to say that they're not damn good trucks, I own one myself. But Steve is about looks as well as performance. Like he said, he wanted something that could haul when he needed it AND be fun for him to drive as a daily driver. (In other words, turn heads). My opinion is that the two options he chose from were the best two candidates for what he was looking for. Both are great trucks and would get the job done in style. You gotta admit. They're both two awfully sexy machines.
I think f250 look better than the f150s of this model but that’s just my opinion lol. Also agree he doesn’t need a diesel for towing maybe twice a month. Diesel is much more expensive but so is a raptor lol and a roush f150. So price probably isn’t a factor.
Anthony Quintanilla I'm sure his thought on price fell more on to fuel prices rather than the values of the trucks though. I agree that these two trucks are fairly expensive but at the same time, in a few years time. More money would have went into buying fuel for a diesel than into a V6 or V8. (In his case, the V8) Idk what the fuel economy is like where hes at but here, diesel is twice as much as premium. Although Diesels are capable of exceeding a million miles where as a standard gasoline vehicle rarely hits the 300k mark. So it's just all in how often he plans to use it I suppose.
I usually NEVER watch stuff like this but I’m in the market for a truck so this video really helped. Great job & you humor helped make it possible to watch😝🤗
2 years later I'm just read your comment and I was just in the market 3 wks ago. I bought the 2020 RAM Rebel. Beautiful truck. Just like Steve, I previously owned a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and I LOVEEEEEEED IT! Still love it. Beautiful, beautiful truck. The Jeep was amazing off road. But the Rebel lol, since I've had the Rebel I've taken it almost every place I went off roading in the Jeep and what I can credibly say is, the Jeep was amazing off road. What the Jeep struggled to a little bit and felt, the RAM Rebel doesn't even notice. The tires are stock 33's on the Rebel and it has a stock 1'' lift, which believe it or not DOES help off road. So for anyone who's looking for a nice truck, the 2020 Rebel is a amazing truck in my experience. One of the main reasons I got it is because of the unique red interior and the big screen. Its also amazing off road. If you haven't tried a Rebel I suggest you try one. I've never tried a Raptor, now I'm thinking my next truck may be a Raptor lol. Or I just recently saw the Predator and the TRX. Sooo now I'm thinking either Pred or TRX wey'll see time will tell it always does. I knowww its 1 years later L C but I hope you got a cool truck man!
That Raptor at $77k has a dealer mark up applied, the MSRP on that vehicle, as equipped, is around $70k or a tad less. 802A + tech package + a couple other small goodies, comes in at just under $70k. Although most dealers do have such a markup on any Ford Performance vehicle (Ford GT, Raptor, GT350R, Focus RS, etc) you can get Raptors at MSRP, or slightly less, by shopping around, which means the real sale price of that truck should be around $68-70k. I have seen markup of up to $30k over MSRP, with $10k to $25k being common in some areas. But work them dealers down, I have also seen $25k markup truck sell for just over MSRP with a little work. The Raptor is not a tow vehicle. If your primary desire is a truck to tow, with a healthy chunk of looks great and sounds good, you made the right choice. If you want an off road truck, while also killer looking, then the Raptor is the right choice. Of course, if pure off-road is what you want, then don't look at a truck at all, but that is a different deal. And yeah, no doubt, the V8 sounds better. As a V6 Raptor owner (2018) I have no probelm saying that, even if I don't like saying it. I wish my Raptor had the V8 sound, but the HO V6 TT is simply an outstanding performance motor. Before I got my Raptor I drove the V8 trucks (including both Roush and Shelby packages) and compared them to the Raptor. The Raptor simply had better performance unless the V8 had many thousands of dollars of performance add ons, like a blower package.
Alex Patterson Nope! Same engine coz it’s stronger and faster than a V8 right off the lot. Only major difference with the ‘19 is the upgraded Fox shocks
I'll trade.off the v8 for twin turbo v6 ..and the sound of the v-8 for a raptor ..not only performance wise but resale wise ..so I take the raptor hands down ..the 7 or 8 k difference in price u make up on the value the raptor holds over the f150 lariat model
Chapo Chingon bruh the raptor is a beast compared to that f-150 performance wise and just the way it’s build is more superior. Idk why he would buy an f-150 with basically just some roush styling and an exhaust
Both trucks are cool, but honestly I’d get the Raptor. It’s more of a name thing and the things you get. The modes, the looks, the suspension, the paddle shifters, the seats and the upgraded Ecoboost. Like, ITS A RAPTOR!!!
The guy gave the wrong specs on numerous occasions and was making decisions based on LED lights and decals. He also apparently doesn’t know that a grand cherokee has towing capabilities. I wouldn’t buy anything from this tool.
I pull my 23ft Centurion with my 2015 F150 Lariat...but wow! V8. I only have a V6 Ecoboost. Have you pulled it a long way? We pulled our boat to Lake Powell from Co. It did good. How’d the V8 do? .
You should definitely review the new Ram 1500. I know your a fitness model/competitor/body builder, but you did a great job reviewing these cars, and the Ram is very nice!
The Raptor being a V6 is better than being a V8 for what it's designed for. Which is basically a stock rally truck on steroids. V6 is lighter and quicker for dirt or sand racing and climbing without so much power that you're spinning out constantly like you would get with a V8. The V8 in a truck like a Raptor would just bury itself in a sand dune. I'm from Mississippi myself. We have tons of events like that here and it's usually the lighter 4 and 6s that win them. V8s are just too much in most scenarios for things like offroad racing in anything other than a dunebuggy. Horsepower isnt as important as weight in the Raptors case. Although I do agree Steve made the best choice for his needs. I just respect that he chose a Ford in general. We all know Chevys fragile transmissions couldnt handle the abuse ;) (Shots fired)
A leveling kit isn’t that high I have a 9.5” lift and if u get the roush you should cut the muffler off and weld a pipe in so you keep those tips but it’s straight piped and sounds way better
The Raptor in my opinion looks a little bit cleaner in the front but the only thing that kills the truck for me is the decal on the side of the truck I’d rather go with the roush all the way.
Uhhh correctt me if im wrong but it looks like the Roush has Fox bypass shocks on it. different shocks n leaf springs will definitely affect your towing capacity. But either one should handle a boat.
I love the raptor with a passion but the rousch is the better towing truck.
Stephan Dream fitness both trucks can pull a boat. Even their base model can lol
Is the rousch a European car?. I never heard that one before
Raptor looks better but Roush for towing. Will do well off-road too. Should have gone back to chick-fil-la. Good pick. Hair on point btw
This is a solid review of both trucks Steve. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing more of these from you! Sick editing as well
What I admire most about Steve is not his killer strength or phenomenal physique, it’s the fade. I’m glad Steve knows better than to go to Sports Clips to get a haircut
Edgar Rauda he probably does go to sports clips though. They do fades there
My fade looks just like his and I got it done at sport clips. Just have to find the right person to cut your hair. Lol
Edgar Rauda lmao funny thing is, he does go.
Roush 100000%
As long as it's the air suspension version, NOT the leaf spring. the leaf spring rides terribly, but the air suspension is sublime
Nothing like the sound of that tunes V8 in the Roush
Kelly Yager
Furds are junk
RAM TRUCKS dont be jelly just cause you cant afford it.
RAM TRUCKS I see more ram trucks stuck on the side of the road.
As soon as he said MY NEEDS I knew it was the roush 😎
adam roberts
Furds are junk...complete Shit
It's in the god damn title, man.
Thomas Christopher White No, it says Roush Vs Raptor in the title. It doesn't say which one he ended up choosing.
Who "needs" a $77,000 pickup?
*WHEN IN DOUBT, ALWAYS GET THE V8!*

$77,000 for a pick up truck.....Henry Ford is rolling over in his grave
Can't hide money.
My friend bought a ford f150 a few years ago and she paid like 55,000 for all the bells and whistles( leather seats, sun roof, trunk cover and the touchpad thing.)
Henry Ford is one of the richest people that has ever lived, he didn't make his money giving vehicles away. They cost that much for a reason.
Yeah back then a ford truck was only a few grand...
broke people always complain about how much shit costs. You can get a base f150 for less than $30k. Quit crying.
ROUSH all day. With the blower package it’s unbeatable. You WON’T be disappointed. 🔥👌🏻
RL Fitness
Furds are complete shit.. Only an idiot buys a Furd Turd
RAM TRUCKS blah blah blah
I think all the full size trucks are great. Would be happy with any of them.
RAM TRUCKS you didnt even know how to write ford so shut up
Its ugly from the front. Get the raptor and engine swap it
People don’t get that they’re all great trucks, it really just comes down to what body style you like most at this point
80 000$ truck....in norway id had to pay prolly over 200 000 $ for that truck. I shit you not. Our taxes are insane.
That’s what progressive leftists do. Tax people to death.
Kent Keller but you get more in return from high taxes
Kent Keller wtf that has nothing to do with a truck price shit head
billy heaton Snowflake, the guy from Norway said the truck was $200k because of taxes. That’s Bernie’s utopia. No one except the elite can afford anything. Equality.

I love the V8 Sound.
"Swoldier" lmfao that's awesome. Also: Roush all day, man. You see Raptors everywhere.
Should have got the raptor, it will hold it's value much better than a roush.
Justin N
Craptors are junk
Lol. Dodge boy jealous they don't make anything to compete with a raptor.
They will both depress about the same
Bond Lohden not being a smartass here but the 2004-06 Dodge Ram srt10 will completely shit on the raptor and that truck is at least 13 years old
What about the ram power wagon? Idiot...
Congrats on the new truck Steve, you deserve it 💪🏼
You want a truck for its towing capacity, yet you base your review on the looks and the sound of the truck😂
Rodrigo Hernández it had a better towing compacity. That's why he went with it.
Joseph Gerichs Sorry, my bad
Both can tow his boat. It’s not that big of a boat.
*gets a off road truck*🤣🤣
Alec Haas a 25ft boat is pretty big😂😂
You definitely got the best gas powered trucks on the planet.
Brodee Bell mmmmm hhhhhmmmm now there’s the TRX
If you want efficient towing and luxury, just get a Platinum F250.
BigBadWolf
Old mans truck
Eww no, 250 King Ranch.
How old are you 80 😂
@@MatthiasAI king ranch is to expensive on gas
F350 platinum is a best I get 1120 km but fills up with 180 $
The Raptor sounds like a beefed up Honda Civic, for the amount of money you’re paying you should get a better sound then that as well as a V8.
Never ever say Honda compact price crap in same sentence as Legendary Ford trucks ...F150/ F250/Raptor/Ranger.
"Oh, yeah!! Talk to me baby"😁😂😂😂😂
Steve reviewing trucks is the best thing i've ever seen
7:46 was the deciding factor
You need a super duty if you’re tryna tow efficiently, you’re going for luxury trucks over trucks made for towing
he doesn't really need a super duty because hes not towing anything other than a 25 foot boat.
Bowen Leonard Steve is a prettyboy though. He wanted something fashionable as well as capable of towing. Ordinary F series trucks are too common and just plain. Dream house + Dream truck = the year of Steve Cook!!
Steve... If Fitness videos do not work out for you...... Start doing car vids! ... You are doing a great job!
*Coming from a car salesman*
20’ wheels was a bad choice for the roush. Biggest wheel for a truck imo is 17-18. 18’ if your running 35’ + tires.
I have 35’s on 20’s and you’re right i should spent the extra dollar for 18” rims
raptor all day.. I've driven both and I own the 3.5 twin turbo.
FitLife take the turbos off and it will be fucked 😂🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ but it’s good
Chapo Chingon bruh the raptor is a beast compared to that f-150 performance wise and just the way it’s build is more superior. Idk why he would buy an f-150 with basically just some roush styling and an exhaust
Roush package doesn’t automatically come with a roush supercharger? Great choice though! I have a 15’ f150 with a roush super charger and it is nasty!
Not into trucks but the Roushe is better cuz i like loud cars
Nice ride. Can't believe how expensive pick-ups are these days

LMAO he's doing a lot better financially and fame wise than most mid tier and 3rd string NFL players no one even knows about.
The guy gave the wrong specs on numerous occasions and was making decisions based on LED lights and decals. He also apparently doesn’t know that a grand cherokee has towing capabilities. I wouldn’t buy anything from this tool.

MORE CAR/TRUCK REVIEWS!!
Steve, I will say... as a fellow Chick-fil-A connoisseur, I can definitely attest to it being a place that I “frequent often”
WTF is a V6 truck? Decision was made when I heard the engine difference. I’m from TX and down here if it ain’t a V8 it ain’t a truck.
Twin Turbo Eco Boost V6...
Zac Benton yea nah, I was with you up until you said V6 😂
Thought the same until I test drove the v6.
Pffff Steve Cook doing a car review video... Man, I love you!
If you're dropping that much money, why not just get a diesel?
Phil K because a diesel can't off-road well. Tbh I'm disappointed on the video, I expected offroading
Great episode Steve!👊👊
Don't do it Steve. You're a big lad and those beasts make you look small. ;-)

Great choice either way steve!
Should have bought a diesel! Lol
Diesels have terrible emissions
Actually diesels have a bunch of stuff to help eliminate emissions and they usually get better mileage.
Older diesels definitely can have emission issues, but I don’t think Steve would get a used truck 😂
Older diesels run longer and some get better mpg because all the emission stuff wasn't required back then.
That’s a good point! I have a 98’ Dodge and its still running strong! Lol

Kentucky Lifestyle ok?
The Raptor in my opinion looks a little bit cleaner in the front but the only thing that kills the truck for me is the decal on the side of the truck I’d rather go with the roush all the way.

Uhhh correctt me if im wrong but it looks like the Roush has Fox bypass shocks on it. different shocks n leaf springs will definitely affect your towing capacity. But either one should handle a boat.

Dude don’t buy an American made truck. Just get the latest Toyota Tacoma TRD
LifeISMagix agreed. Can tow 7000lbs and would be a lot more suitable for that area and his lifestyle.
Jordan Darrell Judging by the video I think he's looking more for looks of the truck.
None of this was about the efficiency of the truck. Im not a mechanic but I dont think the exhaust sound helps you tow more.
Yeah let him buy a rust bucket Toyota with drum breaks GTFO
Toyota Tacoma’s can put in some work, I’ve never been disappointed
Excellent choice! That V8 sounded so much better without a doubt too
