An explanatory video is needed to guide when changing the radiator due to any situation such as breakage or accident when assembling and pouring the coolant as is the process of bleeding the radiator to remove the air and everything works well
It's heating up out there so check all of the fluids... I use a HOAT Coolant since it's better for aluminum and it's the creme de la creme in antifreeze ... 👍🏼
Don’t feel bad I struggled with that radiator cap time and time again🪄✨🍸they put a little secondary latch and the plastic gets caught up in the cap. After a while it wears off and you’ll be able to open it easier🥴👍🏻
@@RykerRydes Your difficulties are the result of not turning the cap far enough. Radiator/coolant tank caps are designed to turn a short distance and become loose, so as to allow any pressure to blow by/ downwards and not up into your face, like an explosion. If you look closely at the video, at just before the 6:00 mark, you'll notice that the cap turned just a bit more allowing it to be removed. Hope this helps.
Very handy video with the hot weather coming. Went to buy a Ryker 600 and the dealers wanted $2500 over MSRP. Even used Rykers are snapped up in central Florida. You got a super deal on yours, Beth.
So, now you have me wondering about the ryker cooling system? Your cooling system is a sealed system like your brake system. Unless you have a leak, you shouldn't have to add that much coolant? The tank that you service in every vehicle is an over flow and unless you have high millage or a blown head gasket you shouldn't see a that much of a change. If your brake tank looks low it means your pads need changing. You don't keep adding fluid. Change the pads and the fluid level goes back to normal. If you continue to add coolant I would suspect a leak in your system. If it is small you may not notice it. I.E. Drips and puddles. FYI
hmmm, not sure. There are now leaks on the floor of the garage. Maybe my bike just came that way? I will definitely keep an eye on it. Thank you for such a detailed response.
I read your comment to Beth. Rikers have a little hole in the overflow tank under the cap if you take the cap off You could see the little hole in the plastic. I think at 16 pounds The spring in the cap Compresses and the antifreeze leak out that’s why they lose a little all the time when it’s very hot. Tank is transparent so you really don’t have to open it up to see when it’s low. They should have an overflow for the overflow😂🥴👍🏻

Are you sure about the statements concerning ethylene glycol? Most of the newer manufacturers have gone to OAT, HOAT, or PHOAT based coolants. Because, of the toxicity of ethylene glycol.
