I have over four decades of riding experience on two wheelers. From dirt track racing to road racing to touring. I've owned, and still own, more motorcycles than you can imagine. I recently bought my first trike. I was leaning towards a Harley Davidson Tri-Glide, but they are too expensive, even for a used one. And besides, I am not that broken down yet to ride a slower version of a three wheeler. I bought a used 2022 Ryker Rally with only forty-one miles on it. The previous owner added many Can Am OEM accessories before he sold it to a dealership in Carol Stream, Illinois. His health prevented him from riding it with his wife like he planned. Poor guy. Riding a three wheeler is a whole new experience for me than riding any two-wheeler. I'm looking into the Can Am riding course for myself and my wife. You never know what you can teach an old dog to do.
All day today I have been watching on people reviewing the Can-AM Rykers and so far yours has been the most specific, and detail oriented. I already told my wife I am buying one as a retirement gift, next year sometime. Thank you for this video.

Great lessons and tips. Here’s what I bought for much needed accessories: 1st, and I feel is the most important, rally comes with a horrible bleeting Horn. Spyderpops sells for $29 “The really loud Horn”! It’s louder than my car and has already saved my life. The modulation headlights are also helpful. Some states they’re illegal but I’d rather pay a ticket than get a free helicopter ride. (If I’m lucky)! Also got gas cap lock, glovebox lock and parking lock. These should not be aftermarket but standard. Can am makes their big money on doodads and I love independent Companies that will sell better for less! I wish I had known about the rear double side bags light kit/ brake that sling mod sells, since storage and visibility is not the best. I wish I would have known about it before I bought single bag. $799. But with the lights, bar, Sloan hard box probably spent close to that not getting what I ultimately need. To me sling pop is the best out of the top 3: slingpop, LaMonster and sling mod. Also got front fog lights. One more thing, I just got front turn signals for rear (mounted on front two axels). Low profile makes it difficult to see and also got storage bag that goes behind the gas tank. I got one from can am that’s a pain and magnets don’t really hold. I’d like to throw it in the ocean! Safe riding, Jake
Just saw this. Great video. I got the Ryker 600 back in March and I can't stay off of it. Best purchase every and I've had Mustangs, Challenger and a Harley!
Good video! Lot's of memories cruising up U.S. 1 in Stuart! I am buying a 2020 Rally in mid-March. I spent years on 2-wheels but some middle age issues (old injuries and a hip replacement) have forced me on to 3-wheels. I am actually pretty excited about it! Anyway, thanks for the video! Ride safe!

mike parr I am jealous Mike, riding the Rally in BC sounds amazing. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but the amount of beautiful unpaved trails that you can explore should keep you entertained for years to come. Thanks for watching!
Man, watching you has me about a millisecond from buying one. I'm looking into the Spyder F3-T. I have not ridden in 30 years. I started out with a 1969 2-stroke Yamaha DSC6 and then graduated to a Honda CB750 K model. I could not go back to a two-wheel so a three-wheel looks like the best option. Your advice on the course is a great idea. I will do that because I need to learn about three-wheeling. I still have and pay for my motorcycle endorsement. I hope I don't have to repeat a driver's test. Thanks, for posting the video.
My 'training course' was picking up a used Ryker 600 about an hour before dark, and riding it almost a hundred miles home. Obviously I stayed off the freeways and wound my way through rural ways, twisty mountain roads and city streets. Kind of a hairy way to learn and not one I necessarily recommend, but it worked for me.... And by the way, California is one of only three or four states that allow you to drive three wheelers with just a standard class C driver's license. No motorcycle or three wheel endorsement needed....
Great vlog, topic, and advice! Only things I'd add, is to make sure your dealership performs a laser alignment before you pick up your Ryker. If you do buy extra parts (max mount, shad bag and mount, hand guards, etc.), try to avoid having the dealer install. They typically charge a fortune. And if you're interested, look for Spyder/Ryker/riding clubs in your area :) Keep up the awesome vlogs!
Midlife Ryker Thanks for the great advice from a seasoned Ryker! Groups are definitely huge. Facebook owners’ groups or forums are amazing communities and you can learn so much about your bike, common problems, and the mods available.
I wish I had seen your video before I took the Learn-to-Ride course in my state. I had no idea what to expect; I have never ridden a motorcycle as a driver. Bottom line, I will be taking the course again during a cooler time of year and watching a million Ryker videos in the interim. I am getting a Ryker next year!
Yeah I took my 3 Wheel course in the middle of August last year... in FLORIDA. Let me tell you it was BRUTAL. Good luck with the course, it should be something that you enjoy.
Thanks for the MSF course tip. I'm planning on ordering a 2022 Ryker Rally. But in Chicago, you can't ride one unless you are purchasing it. So I signed up for the course just to get some time with the Can-Ams, even though I already have my motorcycle certification.
Let's organize a huge Can Am Ryker/Spyder ride here in Illinois. Let's raise some money for a charity such as Veteran's organization. Remember, they are the reason why we have the freedom to ride in this country.
What's up, Khalil! Yeah, four years late to the conversation but better late than never right? Of all the amazing tips you shared across your many videos, there were a couple things you said that really stuck with me. One was buying an older model. I see that there are crazy discounts available for previous year models. The other thing you talked on was about the size of the rider. I'm a big dude and as such after hearing some of the things you said, I think if I went the Ryker route, the rally would be best for it's better suspension. I'd love to get a Spyder but, man, those things are pricy. However that does bring me back to your tip about buying an older model. All in all my heart is set on a Ryker Rally... for now. I plan to save up for a bike and as I do, I'll give the Spyder vs Ryker thing a lot of thought. For now I do dig the Ryker a lot. Thank you so much for all of the tips you share.
Just started looking into these bikes today. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the ride POV! I actually used to live and work in that exact area! (Stuart/Jensen Beach/Port Saint Lucie) and kept looking around while you were talking like, I worked there! ate there all the time! Hahaha I'm mad excited to be joining the three wheel community hopefully soon and your ride was nostalgic for me. Hopefully I'll get confident enough that I may even ride down to Florida again on three wheels lol
@@iluvbiggirlz420 LOL! Sounds like a great hobby to do together, albeit a definite cost of entry to think about! I hope you can get yours sooner than later :)
@@midliferyker3929 I can either get one Spyder or two Rykers. First I was going to trade in my SUV in for a little crossover for my wife, and I get Ryker, now she wants one, so I change my plans.
@@iluvbiggirlz420 Nice! I truly hope you (both) like the Ryker. I like it over Spyders just due to size and how nimble it is. I'd say that if you get the standard seat, definitely look into getting an Airhawk. Got one yesterday and it's night and day with comfort.
Great video definitely solid points and I've experienced the same thing. #1 Limitations is know your limitations AND LEARN THE RYKERS. I've found "ya I can do this.. Nope" Had a couple of close calls but remained on the road to finish the ride. And don't showboat no matter what's going on around you such as side shows. That is trouble that could cost you a hell of a lot of money or worse your life or someone else's.
Been looking at these 3 wheelers. Rode 2 wheels for about 40+ years. Had a major stroke a few years ago that robbed me of most of my balance. Thought my motorcycle days were over until I saw these!! My wife and I use to ride quite a lot over the years. Had a std. Valkyrie and rode with my wife’s cousin and her Hubbya lot. He has a large Ultra Classic Harley. Thinking about a Spyder touring model, I think the bigger bike might be more comfortable for 2 adults. We’re not big heavyweights but the 1330 motor might be better for us. Im gonna start looking for this next season. It gets pretty cold here in Chicagoland is the winter. Been ridding many years but not a fan of the cold weather! LOL!!!
I'm signed up for the course in mid July. The downside of living where I live is, it's 2 hours one way to the nearest course. The upside? There are a LOT of scenic rides very close to where I live.
Here's a tip that I see you're not doing.Turn on your high beams in the daytime to better be seen. That's actually been written in every motorcycle license handbook I've ever read(3 states).
@@3WK-ADV We are told in Canada to ride our motorcycles during the daytime with our high beams on. The single light on high during the day will not blind anyone. Just remember to lower it when it gets darker.
I do that with my Harley. The interesting this I’ve noticed is that drivers won’t want to stay in front of you for very long if you have your brights on in the daytime.
Well done. My #1 tip I would tell them ....buy the windshield at the dealership and ride off with it on. I don't own a Ryker, but if I was buying one. That's what I'd do. :)
Thanks for that, I am from Australia and we get no training for the ryker! Nothing! It’s very new here and the dealers don’t know much about it! So it’s pretty much, thanks for your money, here is the key! And good luck with me! I got the 600, rules in Australia, as a learner you have to have the 600 for two years before you can get the 900, so any video on how to handle the ryker is much appreciated! Even though rally is different but I am hoping I still get some tips, thanks again
Mia Shirazi thanks for watching! Glad to have you along for the ride. Its an interesting system they have in Australia, but if it helps riders learn more then I’m all for it. I plan on doing more tips videos, hope y’all will find them to be useful!
3-Wheel Khalil that would be great. I have a lot of issues controlling it on highway!! It just keeps pushing me around and it’s so scary because the highway is full of massive trucks and I don’t want be pushed towards them! I know the rally has different power but if you could please advise how to control the ryker a bit better on high speed that would be much appreciated
@@miashirazi5870 I know the feeling and it's not a great one. One thing I would say to do if you haven't already done so, is try bringing the handlebars closer. You don''t want your arms fully extended, you want a little bend in your arms. I find that makes highway rides a lot more comfortable for me and helps me not get flung around.
Hey just purchased one picking up on Tuesday we’re excited to get it still need to get my license but I’ll be careful until then I purchased a Can-Am 900 ace 2020 had a hip replacement stop riding 2 wheel bikes Thought I’d try this Can-Am Ryker it looks a little nasty I learned quite a bit from your video thanks
hey man thanks for the excellent tips and insight, i just looked at a ryker 600 and am excited about getting it in a few weeks but i bought my helmet and gloves already actually just today, i might have the bike before they come lol, also i had a Suzuki750 in 2004, havent driven since but i like the 3weehler and feel a lot safer about it and your 5 tips made me feel even safer, i’m in b’ham AL. AND THE CLOSEST CLASS IS IN MOBILE (4hrs away) for safety reasons is the class something i can take on line and would that be benefical, i already have my motor cycle license, and i’ll just be driving for fun i’ll probably rarely do 80mph lol
Great video and information. I also took the MSF Can-Am course. It was great. I loved every minute! Thanks for sharing. I would like to know what is the brand and type of riding suit you are wearing. Separate pants and jacket?? Looks great. I liked that zippered leg pouch.
My closest 3 wheel MSF course is 4 hours away in Kentucky even though it says they have courses in Ohio. I would love to take one in the future if any show up a bit more locally.
What's good? You in my neck of the woods. Got my classes on the 24th and 25th at the same spot. No Rykers available till Jan 2022 💔 When I get mine let me know if you down to ride ✊🏼
I know your video is 4 years ago prior to Covid. But the class has more than doubled since the big c. I took it in 2020 in California for 99 dollars via can am. Now, since I have retired and live in another state with different laws, this state is requiring that I take it again. (. All motorcyclists and 3 wheeled vehicles must go through the local college and take the course because our state, at least in my county no longer has the personnel to administer driving tests. ). But anyway, the new price for the course through can amount to is 199 dollars. More than double. Without going through can am it now costs 300 dollars.
Khail. I wanted to thank you sir! I just finished my can am msf course and am now fully licensed to ride ( you need a motorcycle license in my state) i had a lot of fun n learned a ton
Thanks for the great video. Lot of great info. Been thinking of getting a can am for longtime know. Watch the prices in my area . They hold kind high here Rs-s that 2014 and 2017 even 2018 are hold around 6 to 8k used. New Ryker 600 that I been looking at are 8to9k. Their few class in my are around summer time my have give try for 99 then I can get class 9 m license here
Great video! I’m pretty much a beginner so I’m curious about what you do as far as maintenance for your Ryker. How do you keep your battery charged? What kind of basic tools should I have to maintain a Ryker? Thanks for the great content!
In all honesty, as far as maintenance for the Ryker goes, I am still a beginner myself. For me, I ride my Ryker almost everyday so battery charge is not an issue, but for those who store for longer times you will want to pick up a battery tender or similar. It attaches to the battery and allows you to keep the battery charged while not in use. As I perform more maintenance on my bike, you will be sure to see it here. One recommendation is to pick up some plastic pry tools off of amazon as most of the bike is comprised of plastic parts. They will come in handy.
it would be nice if you showed how to get to the different modes. I found "modes" on my Ryker, but don't know what button to push to scroll thru and or select
What helmet and video setup do you have? You are crystal clear and I am looking for something that I can still hear, but also do video and talk in the helmet. Thanks in advance. I enjoy your videos.
I was in a bit of a pinch before doing my MSF course and had to wear pants that didn't fit all that well and square toe western boots. I already didn't fit on the Ryker that well but it was even worse. Still passed though!
The course for can am not offered I'm buying one anyway I took msc a few years ago though can you tell me if the suspension is worth it on the rally I can't decide witch one to buy i am a bigger guy
Pipes61874 the Rally is a great option if you don’t want to fiddle around with replacing suspension later, but there still are better aftermarket suspension options. I personally would recommend it for larger guys like myself.
Thank you so much for the advice I’m working on buying my first 600 as well I just also did not know how to go about the gear now I do ty kind sir !!!! Oh yes I’m a new sub as well great vids keep them coming stay blessed brethren
Laguna beach California thanks for watching! I’m excited that you are just starting the 3-Wheel portion of your adventure. It’s a great time and there is a great community! Enjoy and be safe!
Gonna be hard to see that down in here in Florida, but I would love to test it in a controlled enviroment. I have seen it once in another video, looked a little slidey.
I know this video was some time ago but I have a question if you can remember how the differences are between the Ryker and the Spyder F3 s. I am considering one of those two, I used to ride motorcycle but my physical health has forced me to look at 3 wheels. I am a little bit older so of course comfort is priority but that Riker rally looks funny as hell. :-)
Smooth Tee I’m 6’2 and not much lighter than you. It handles me just fine. I’ve never bottomed out the rear suspension or anything. Going 2-up (depending on the passenger weight) may require upgraded suspension though.
Smooth, you need the 900 or larger if you're gonna be putting the bike under stress. You're adding a lot of weight and wind resistance. If you're gonna be starting and stopping a lot, riding in hilly or mountainous areas, pulling a trailer or additional weight, if you plan on aggressive driving (fast starts from a standstill, weaving in-n-out of traffic, passing), etc., that takes power. If you're gonna be doing mostly flats streets, slow accelerations, low additional weight (no more than the max weight limit), etc., lower power can tolerate that. A large, heavy man shouldn't be riding a Shetland pony. He needs a cold blood, like a Clydesdale. That pony may last a mile or two but eventually he's gonna collapse.
Hey I have a 900 I got it last month ... where do u get your gear? I’m right now Im showing skin🤦🏽♀️🤣 but really want some type of gear cause that night air isn’t no joke
Two main places that I buy gear are CycleGear and Revzilla. I wear a lot of ICON stuff personally, but I'm planning on doing a riding gear video in the next few weeks, especially geared toward 3-wheel riders since we usually prefer stuff a little lighter.
The biggest argument for boots on a Ryker or Spyder is that the protection is far superior if you get into an accident. A lot less likely to crush your ankle between parts. Usually sneakers will also just fly off immediately during impact, so you can easily tear your feet up. I say no need to go overboard and get knee high motorcycle boots, but a pair of more casual motorcycle boots with crush protection and is a must for me.
DJ yeah the RT is exactly that. So far, they have been good. The one problem I had (coolant leak), BRP supported the bike and didn’t give me too much hassle to work on it under warranty.
@@midliferyker3929 what is the difference between Eco Off and Sport? Sport is enabled by default on my 900. I can switch to Eco resp. back to Sport. No 3rd option.
Banane Chiguitta In the US, Eco off is the standard driving mode with fully enabled VSS. Sport mode is a separate option that loosens up traction control and makes the throttle more responsive. Not sure if it is different elsewhere.
@@3WK-ADV are you sure that Eco Off is a separate mod? I cant find it here ... www.manualslib.com/manual/1625791/Brp-Can-Am-Ryker-900-Ace-Rally-Edition-2019.html?page=46#manual
Be safe always wear a motorcycle jacket along with gloves and helmet. ATGATT. While the bike is inherently stable due to 3 wheels it is still subject to being hit by another vehicle and causing you to be thrown off the bike.
James, on road trips, I also wear elbow and knee pads. I have riding jeans and riding jackets with both sewn into them. My gloves have thick palm padding. Knees, elbows and palms.
What your advice in buying the rally over the standard 900. I have watch video making good argument about the money that one would spend on the rally can use to get better shocks on the standard 900. What's your take??
Honestly, I think it is a very valid argument. I purchased my Rally used with only a few hundred miles on it. So the price came out to be the same price as a brand new 900. I think I may still end up spending for the Elka shocks (at least in the rear since I'm a heavier guy), so I can see their point. I also like Rally mode though. It is a tough choice for sure. If you are questioning wanting any of the accessories that the Rally comes with, I would just go with the 900 and upgrade it over time. As I'm still doing that with my Rally, it's still not perfect out of the box. So take that extra cash and spend it on upgrades that you'll know you want. Unless you get a smoking deal like I did haha.
@@3WK-ADV got it thanks for the advise. I have seen people with e Elka shock front and back an the ryker drives like a dream with those shock all around.
Most of them will provide a helmet for sure, outside of a helmet you just have to have a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and any sort of boots. I bought and brought my own helmet though.
I'm 6'2 and I don't think you would have an issue. The biggest mod that would give you more space would be the Solo Comfort Seat, that would allow you more leg room. You'll want the handlebars pretty close anyway.
Good job cuz. I bought mine before I ever rode one. This video would have helped. I switched to 3 vs 2 because of incompetent doctors and a knee replacement but this was the silver lining. This bike can be ridin until I’m 100. I’m 72 now. It so easy. It a joy day one. I started riding when I was 14 on a bike made myself. I would never ride my Kaw Vulcan as much as I ride this. So for all you old farts, this it it. Get off your FFA, GET DOWN TO THE DEALER, SIT ON IT.Rykers are cool. They are like choppers for old men and women. I went black on black on black. People can’t believe it a stock machine.
That's pretty amazing that you've been riding one way or another since 14. I haven't been into riding for long, but the Ryker inspired me to learn more and now I'm also getting into a little 2-wheeled riding on the side. Always been into cars and motors, and I'm finding out that there aren't many better ways to really get familiar with the mechanical workings of a vehicle than the to sit right next to that engine and ride.
mrsmith562 definitely could differ based on where you live, but most places you need a motorcycle license to operate a Spyder or Ryker. Slingshots are a different story, they are categorized as an auto-cycle (rightfully so) and don’t need anything more than a standard license.

And by the way, California is one of only three or four states that allow you to drive three wheelers with just a standard class C driver's license. No motorcycle or three wheel endorsement needed....
LOVE IT!!! Thank you for a calm, mater of fact video. I have my class this weekend and am so much less nervous now.
Yes his video is best for me because I'm never rode before and we just purchased the rally edition
Do you know if that laser alignment is free before you leave dealer
@@michaelhaygood400 Yep! It sure is!
💪 thanks...
Great tips! I plan on getting a Ryker later this year. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks for the MSF course tip. I'm planning on ordering a 2022 Ryker Rally. But in Chicago, you can't ride one unless you are purchasing it. So I signed up for the course just to get some time with the Can-Ams, even though I already have my motorcycle certification.
Great way to get familiar with Can-Ams. Ride safe and congrats!
Small world ain’t it!
Shout out from Petersburg VA and you gave me some very good advice. I just soaking up all this knowledge until I get mine.
Heyyyy there PT! When are you getting yours?
@@midliferyker3929 Hopefully this Spring, but I messed up and watched so many Ryker videos around my wife, wants one now. Lol
Central Florida test was $50/3 days when I took it 2 years ago..amazing instructors. Real hands on.
Wonderful video and I have to say, you are very articulate in your speech Sir ! Thanks so much for this one.
These are all great tips, greatly appreciated bro
Glad to help!
Sounds like the pros outweigh the cons man!
I took the class. It was so worth it!
My #1 recommendation for everyone!
I truly enjoy all your videos. they are very informative and really appreciate the nature in which you explain things.
Here's a tip that I see you're not doing.Turn on your high beams in the daytime to better be seen. That's actually been written in every motorcycle license handbook I've ever read(3 states).
Bruce Klein hmm, I’ve never heard that one. Thanks for sharing that!
Same thing with cars or trucks
@@3WK-ADV We are told in Canada to ride our motorcycles during the daytime with our high beams on. The single light on high during the day will not blind anyone. Just remember to lower it when it gets darker.
I do that with my Harley. The interesting this I’ve noticed is that drivers won’t want to stay in front of you for very long
if you have your brights on in the daytime.
Well done.
My #1 tip I would tell them ....buy the windshield at the dealership and ride off with it on. I don't own a Ryker, but if I was buying one. That's what I'd do. :)
Ontario Andrews it definitely is a nice comfort item, but I just love the look without it! Thanks for watching!
3-Wheel Khalil thank you, I will definitely try that
I’m going to the Phoenix are this weekend to test drive the Ryker! So excited
Glad you're not letting that stop you from hitting the open road! Enjoy it and ride safe!
Thanks! New subbie here! This was the most helpful info I’ve come across as a new owner.
Glad to help. Ride safe out there!
hey man thanks for the excellent tips and insight, i just looked at a ryker 600 and am excited about getting it in a few weeks but i bought my helmet and gloves already actually just today, i might have the bike before they come lol, also i had a Suzuki750 in 2004, havent driven since but i like the 3weehler and feel a lot safer about it and your 5 tips made me feel even safer, i’m in b’ham AL.
Thanks for the tips- thinking about a ryker and this was super helpful 👍
Glad it was helpful. Getting close to a year with my Ryker and it's really been a blast.
The best fun you can have remaining fully clothed!
For sure, much appreciated!
My closest 3 wheel MSF course is 4 hours away in Kentucky even though it says they have courses in Ohio. I would love to take one in the future if any show up a bit more locally.
They just started in Ohio Iron Pony Westerville Oh., and Elyria oh Johnny K Sport
Awesome video. Very informative. Watching that ride convinced me the Ryker would be a good choice. Thanks for posting this!
Thanks for the tips. Enjoy your Ryker.
Good video , however the 600 Ryker doesn’t have different modes , it has 1 mode only .... I have the 600
I was unaware of that one, it has been addressed in the comments. Thanks!
Khail. I wanted to thank you sir! I just finished my can am msf course and am now fully licensed to ride ( you need a motorcycle license in my state) i had a lot of fun n learned a ton
question, does the say bar really make a difference on the 600? I'm hoping to purchase the Ryker in April and want to be prepared as to my build.
I had that to people talk about your bike ask how fun is it does it ride good
guapomob14 Always! People try to get my attention at stop lights sometimes just to ask questions about the bike.
Hi, I'm thinking about getting one and this was great information. Thank you
You'll be glad you did! I am!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Their few class in my are around summer time my have give try for 99 then I can get class 9 m license here
Taking my 3 wheel course next week!
@@3WK-ADV yes I picked up the tool with extra prongs via wish.com.
it would be nice if you showed how to get to the different modes. I found "modes" on my Ryker, but don't know what button to push to scroll thru and or select
What helmet and video setup do you have? You are crystal clear and I am looking for something that I can still hear, but also do video and talk in the helmet. Thanks in advance. I enjoy your videos.
I'm pretty sure he just recorded the footage with a GoPro and recorded his voiceover on his PC afterwards.
thank you nro about the msf info too
I was in a bit of a pinch before doing my MSF course and had to wear pants that didn't fit all that well and square toe western boots. I already didn't fit on the Ryker that well but it was even worse. Still passed though!
Yeah, gotta take your time when buying motorcycle gear. Can be hard to find the perfect gear for your individual body and style.
This was an absolutely awesome video...thank you for sharing!
I noticed that the trike wanders slightly side to side, is that the nature of the bike or the road conditions??
Thanks for this you did explain it alot better than most !!
Love your video bruh, just purchased a 900, 3 weeks ago
Enjoy it, ride safe bruh!
3-Wheel Khalil thank you so much I’ll keep you posted on how cool I might look lol thank you once again stay safe as well!!!!
Recommend a helmet.
What do you recommend for folks who never rode a motorcycle but want to learn and ride a 3 wheel ryker
Take the class bud!
i would like to see ridin on ice and snow
Gonna be hard to see that down in here in Florida, but I would love to test it in a controlled enviroment. I have seen it once in another video, looked a little slidey.
great video... i have a 900 and I LOVE it
I know this video was some time ago but I have a question if you can remember how the differences are between the Ryker and the Spyder F3 s. I am considering one of those two, I used to ride motorcycle but my physical health has forced me to look at 3 wheels. I am a little bit older so of course comfort is priority but that Riker rally looks funny as hell. :-)
People do stop me.....lol
2021 Ryker Rally just got it
Nov 29 2020
130 miles on Her
I’m 6 foot 320 pounds will this bike be good for me? I currently have a boulevard m90
Do I need riding boots for a bike with no gears and my feet only touch the ground when I get off?
The biggest argument for boots on a Ryker or Spyder is that the protection is far superior if you get into an accident. A lot less likely to crush your ankle between parts. Usually sneakers will also just fly off immediately during impact, so you can easily tear your feet up. I say no need to go overboard and get knee high motorcycle boots, but a pair of more casual motorcycle boots with crush protection and is a must for me.
Great video thanks man
Great advice! Can you drive one of these with a regular motorcycle license or is there a special 3 wheel license you need? 🏍
William Perez in my state, you can have either a specific 3 wheel license or a normal motorcycle license which covers all motorcycles
@@3WK-ADV what state is that? (Please say New York) LOl
William Perez haha Florida!
Pa just move same thing as Florida and ohio. But get class 9 permit in pa u have take a class for new riders for 3 wheelers
Is the rt the one that has the most storage and better for big trips? And does their warranty stand by your side if you have a hitch on the bike?
DJ yeah the RT is exactly that. So far, they have been good. The one problem I had (coolant leak), BRP supported the bike and didn’t give me too much hassle to work on it under warranty.
Did you buy your ryker at Broward Motorsports? I bought mine there!
GREAT VIDEO! Well done
Good Tips. 👍 In the EU only the Rallye has 3 modes. 600 and 900 have 2 modes only. Is that different in US?
Eco on, Eco off, and Sport mode on the 900. Not sure about 600.
@@bananechiguitta5976 What @3-Wheel Khalil said :)
Thinking about get one my self, still looking for something I do not it..
I have seen people with e
Elka shock front and back an the ryker drives like a dream with those shock all around.
Great vid thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Did the MSF course from Can Am provide gear or did you have to buy your own?
Most of them will provide a helmet for sure, outside of a helmet you just have to have a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and any sort of boots. I bought and brought my own helmet though.
@@3WK-ADV Thanks for the info!
can a guy 6'4 ride this comfortable?
I'm 6'2 and I don't think you would have an issue. The biggest mod that would give you more space would be the Solo Comfort Seat, that would allow you more leg room. You'll want the handlebars pretty close anyway.
Good video but every ryker does not have atleast 3 modes the 600s dont have modes u can change at all
Reptile Mike thanks for the heads up, just reviewed the manual on that one as I was totally unaware. My apologies for the misinformation.

Thanks. So. Much
Good video
Hobe Sound! 👍🏿👍🏿
Always enjoy a ride up toward the treasure coast. Thanks for watching.
Are you in Florida?
My battery went dead and put a new battery in it went to smoking I was told to ride it it should stop smoking

how fast is your ryker 600? meaning top speed
I ride a Ryker Rally which is a 900. You can hit 105 or better pretty comfortably on the 900, not sure about the 600.
3-Wheel Khalil i seen a guy hit 150 on rally 900
Mr. Taylor Must have had the Ryker tuned. I’m pretty sure from the factory, the bike won’t allow it to hit over 115. That’s cool, not my thing tho
I thought u didn’t need a motorcycle license to operate a spyder/Ryker?
mrsmith562 definitely could differ based on where you live, but most places you need a motorcycle license to operate a Spyder or Ryker. Slingshots are a different story, they are categorized as an auto-cycle (rightfully so) and don’t need anything more than a standard license.
3-Wheel Khalil interesting thanks, I’ll call BRP and ask for my state California
Don’t need a motorcycle endorsement to ride these in my state .
