Hey do the bolts need to be torqued to a specific spec on the water pump ?
No torque specs ,tight them in sequence so that they can evenly seated
First pass 40 in/lbs second pass 89 in/lbs.
Do the gaskets need rtv silicone ?
No you don't need any of that

Nope it was too easy,i used to change water pump on the older gen in 10 min, now it pays about 3 hours to change one, and they like to fail

2019 and they need water pump replacement? It’s only 2024
That one was under warranty, learn how to do it, cause they do fail
I had water pump failure within the first year on my 2020 2500 silverado. Truck was down for about 3 months
@cpenv they fail way to often. Along with many other parts.

It’s a good video, but you’re doing way too much. Loosen every bolts and takeoff the throttle body and just pull up.

@@mikemckenna1929 you don’t need to pull the fuse box or the fan just disconnect the passenger side fans and put take out the 3 screws that hold it i believe they are Torx 25 or Torx 27 so you can’t get the alternator bolt out
