Okay, so quick caveat that I wanted to include about the AGM-45 Shrikes. Currently, the seeker head is inverted, where the area the seeker is looking is ABOVE where you get a tone from the aircraft. I didn't include this in the video to hopefully future-proof it. So keep an eye on this space for updates, but for now, here's a great graphic on the current state of the Shrike, and how to properly employ it: imgur.com/IRB559l Thank you guys for all the love and support! I hope you enjoy!
A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. This little module was the thing that made me fall in love with DCS. And you were the father for teaching me, us, how to rock with this beauty. Thank you!
This is the most helpful video I've seen for dcs. I've never struggled with learning how to use systems, but i have no idea how to fly missions. This kind of tutorial that combines both is absolute gold. Thank you very much
the A-4 is by far my favorite cold war plane currently in dcs. Your videos are really great and helped me a lot with leaning the module and i was genuinely surprised as i shot down my first MiGs on ECW after hitting my bombs right where i want them to be 👍
It's always good to see your A-4 tutorials, Sport! I mean it when I say without them I probably would not have gotten into flying in DCS and from there to stick-and-throttle flight sims in general! One thing I can offer to the world regarding the Shrikes: if your settings are wrong, the A-4 will happily fire off both missiles at once. To use them "as intended", make sure you're either in Step-Single with the AWRS set to OFF (or 1), or you only arm one Shrike station at a time. Also, if you're the type who'd rather carry rockets on a SEAD/DEAD mission for the DEAD part (the extra standoff is nice), make sure you switch back to GM UNARM before you use those. Don't ask me how I know that :P
Great job on the A4 Sport. This video is very useful to this part time flying A4 guy. And yes the AGM45 seeker is off it seems to point downward at about 10 to 15 degrees. Aim below the target with tone and the AGM should track. Thumbs up video!
So the ALQ is a built-in jammer. The hump on the A-4 actually was built in order to accommodate the avionics for the RWR and ECM suite. By turning the ALQ on, you activate the ALQ-51 and “RPT” mode on the ECM box which will jam enemy radars. It’s important to only turn the switch to RPT when you’re being actively locked, or else it serves as a beacon to where you currently are.

So get tone, dip nose, then launch?
@@bansheeflier1015 that’s the current technique. I’ll update this post once things change
I thought I was going crazy… thank you💀
I see A4, I click

This is the way
Thank you for showcasing this amazing module
The people want you to fly it too!

The startup part of this video is even better than your previous startup tutorial (and that one was gold already)!
I really want to say thank you.
Thanks to your tutorials, I'm playing my role in multiplayer.
I want to buy you a cup of coffee.
감사합니다!
This is one of the only modules that runs without stuttering on my system. Thx.
Hey thats me!
Even got credit in the description - make sure you're registered with SAG
This is so epicly epic, I love this

I loved your work with the intro and briefing for the mission, top notch!
You're killing these A-4 videos! Keep it up and thanks man!!

Hey Sport just gotta say thanks for making some of the best A4 tutorials and guides for this plane and it is always a joy watching your videos
Your intro still always gets me. Thanks for the incredible production!
Amazing video... on your way to be the gold standard. Great cinematics, flow, flying, tutorial, loved the briefing and graphics!
This is just invaluable support provided to the DCS community. Super high quality. Very much appreciated. You've convinced me to get the A4.
Great video!
Awesome video!
lovely vid
Amazing material. Thanks a lot!
Proper good tutorial! Thanks 👍😊

i see those chinooks!

Has anyone planned a bombing run since 05/27/22 without any low level canyon action?
Well I was told on that day to forget anything I knew about NATOPs, so I assumed this was the standard now
The music choice here is perfect. Do you have a playlist you could share for those 80s vibes?
All the music was courtesy of Epidemic sound, I’ll see what I can do about getting a playlist of bangers on there!
Damn I gotta find people to fly the A-4 with. Am having a hard time to learn it lol
I always thought the ALQ switch muted the RWR sounds. Should I be turning it on all the time? If so, what does it do?

@@SportDCS Thank you for the insight! Had no idea I could've been jamming this whole time.
@@TheGate1310 and it’s raspberry!
Second favourite after viggen, so are shrikes still broken and pointed upside down?
Any drag shute in this plane?
