..Proper diet is essential. And start out by walking. It's gonna hurt, but walk, walk, and walk some more. I layed dormant for months in pain until I pushed through it. I'm back to running and working full time. This takes time., so breath and try and stay positive. You WILL get there.
@@kompanjonac walking will help but not doing anything that hurts the spot is key. I’ve never noticed how many times I bend down to do things until now. Keep back straight and squat to pick up things. Even something as menial as brushing teeth and washing dishes has me bending my spine.

I am 43, 2 years ago , after many months of lower back pain that incompetent people could not help me with, the intervertebral disc Al L4 L5 level burst. The MRI showed that my disc flattened and the vertebrae almost touched each other. Lots of material came out and put lots of pressure on the nerve. I had weak bladder and lots of pain and extreme loss of mobility. I found a physiotherapist (one of the most expensive ones in London UK) who helped me a lot by making me build a few kilos of muscles. Step by step, i gained mobility and strength, then I moved to lifting weights and do very intense physical activities (push ups, advanced rotational planks, lunges, squats, pull ups, squats, bridges....I was also advised to go back to running. I was advised not to join any yoga or pilates classes and to avoid any activities involving raising legs (e.g. kicking). I was told to do bend forward (although dangerous) because the spine has to be re-educated and has to go back to its normal range of motion. Before doing it, you need to build lots of muscles. The spine is supported by muscles: if you don't have muscles you are going to have issues. I think that people with such a bad herniated disc may develop stenosis as they age, but for now I have a normal life and I will carry on working out till I can breath. Tractions and manipulations can work in the acute phase, but those are not long term solutions at all. You've got to move your ass and change your life style. IMPORTANT A Little Update: September 2021. New ICT scan. I have 9 herniated disks, arthritis at L4-L5 and a bad herniation in my neck putting pressure in the nerve. All disks are worn and look black. I still squat and deadlift , just 20-30 kg and do pushups, pull-ups and lots of core and mobility exercises. No pain at all unless I don't do my exercises regularly. Every morning I wake up and do some mobility exercises and I work out 4-5 times a week for 20-40 minutes, depending on how tired I am.

Thankyou so much for you reply. I had so much 6 weeks ago and then i took rest for 1 week , pain was almost gone . But then i came back to normal activities. Sitting for too long so pain remained there slow pain. Now i am back on resting but pain is still there all the time. Its really slow but its discomforting. Am i on the way to heal because ofcourse is far much better than before?? Some people are saying to be active. Well , i was active in the process pain just lessened but didn’t go away so i am back to rest but really worried and I don’t know what to do.
So ive had pretty bad sciatica where my leg would completely go numb and walking was a pain. It took me a year to get healed by working out, streching, chiropractor visits etc. and i was good for almost 2 years without any pain. Now that they closed down all the gyms because of covid for almost a year here in Ireland my sciatica is back in a full swing. To all those who are just starting to go through this, you dont have to do the surgery, this can be fixed by working really hard and being consistent with it. Good luck.
My surgeon explained to me that the nerve will only stand being compressed for so long before permanent damage is done. I put up with pain for 6 months with treatment from, chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Osteopath, having traction and even acupuncture. He explained that in my case any treatment I was doing was hindering my condition and only aggravating the inflamed nerve.
@@asadmuhamad5731 im good, i still feel little back pain from time to time but its really minor and that only happens when i push myself at work or skip gym for a month or so
This information follows precisely with what my recent experience has been. I suffered a herniated disc in my lower back, with rather SEVERE sciatica type pain for about three weeks. (I never got an MRI because I am extremely claustrophobic, but my doctor agreed with me that the problem, arising after a moderate injury, was almost certainly a herniated disc.) For pain relief, I used Percocet VERY sparingly (only at night) but I made frequent use of a TENS electrodes system, which provided tremendous relief from the pain in my legs. I used ice and heat as needed. I also kept active, primarily by walking every day on my rural property. Now, about seven weeks later, I am pain free, though I still feel a certain weakness in my lower back. I find that wearing a small back brace helps a lot. Not sure when I am going to resume my usual exercise routines with resistance bands. (I am 66 years old.) Anyway, for anybody suffering from this, I would counsel patience.
This explanation clarifies everything from what the problems are to the treatments and the time frame. Now I get it! Most doctors can only give a slice of this information. Great teaching and visual explanations.
Keeping a positive attitide is essential. Do whatever you can to keep it positive. Block out that negativity, keep on your exercises, rest when needed , pain management. Happy healing 🤎
Your videos really are just so great. You explain everything very clearly & break down all the information into smaller parts which makes everything easy for me to understand. You've genuinely helped me a lot. Many thanks.......all the way from London !
I am 35 now. I went into a surgery last October 29, 2013. As per MRI (L5-S1) Disc protrusion. I was in pain for almost 5 months prior to my MRI and operation or surgery. I was so thankful and grateful for the success of the surgery. Now, I am more careful and cautious and still playing basketball. Doc. thank you for your inspiring video's, very informative and helpful. To everyone who suffers like this injury, be strong. Trust the process. God bless. Jovinel here from the Philippines. 😊🇵🇭❤

Nagka scar tissue na yung sa akin kasi inabot ng almost 5 months bago aku nga desisyun magpa MRI at magpa surgery. Siguro may instance na need na talaga ng surgery. Depending on the MRI result and findings ng Ortho. Signs of symptoms yung nararamdaman mu ngayun, I felt that before bro.
I did not. Hindi man inadvice nang Ortho ko yan nuon. Kasi based sa resulta ng MRI ko at sa tagal ng panahon na almost 5 months ko dinala yung injury, need talaga aku operahan. Kaya nagpa opera na aku.
I had a slipped disk pushing on my sciatic nerve. Walking hurt so much i was constantly sweating. I was 24 years old. I stopped moving, layed in bed and complained and it took control of my life for over 1 year. I started stretching properly and after a couple weeks it completely stopped hurting. It did not bother me for over 4 years. 2 days ago i did a bad movement right after waking up, sleeping in a weird position. I felt the herniated disk but i didn't take any precaution (should have listened to my body) It's been 2 days, i can't walk without a cane but no pain in my legs due to nerve compression. Because of this, im very optimistic. Movement will be easier and i now have the knowledge to help myself right from the start. It was inactivity and my lack of knowledge that made things so much worse the first time around. My advice to anybody going through this. Listen to your body and be active in finding ways to best your situation. Keep the healing mind set and don't give up. If you stop trying, it gets worse. Find the right way to stretch that will help you specifically and don't let the constant pain contaminate your mind. Good luck
It's unbelievable to be honest.. the pain from raw nerve pain Is something I wouldn't put on my worst enemy.. It's Insane how no one understands unless they have experienced it. This pain is crazy because the feeling doesn't match what your body actually looks like. Every step I currently take feels like someone smacks me in the shin with a lead pipe and increases with time. Yet no bruises. My leg itself feels like it's been shot, and now infected and rotting off with gangrene at the knee... But you look at it, and it looks like a normal healthy leg. Tingles, numbness, and an obsured heavy pulling sensation in the arch of my foot while resting. There would be loss of muscles or weakness, etc. But I've done lower back exercises consecutively for the last 10 years, so I know about "flossing" techniques and I own a decompression table. I have changed my diet, and lifestyle and I'm now dedicating myself to DIY fixes, and I'm going to attempt to live a somewhat sustainable life. Can't afford an mri, so another surgery isn't an option. No insurance. Lost my job. Wife makes too much for state help, yet insurence thru her employer would make it to where we couldn't live. It's really a shame. 3 laminectomy's and 3 radioscopic nerve burnings later, and I herrinate another disk just 4 years later... Hope your techniques work for me brother.
I've finally been diagnosed with a slipped disk after fighting with doctors since February. I am still awaiting my MRI but started physiotherapy today. I am in pain 24/7 and I am absolutely miserable. Right now I cant see me ever being free of pain. Seeing this video has made me see there may be some hope!
Hi Doctor. I'm in the last category and am desperately awaiting surgical scheduling. Good to hear the realistic timelines which match my feelings based on what I have been going through for six months to 20 months since the first slipped disc, instead of this 'rosy picture analysis' I'm hearing from other videos.
Had a herniated disc for 4 months felt better for 3 months and then re injured for another 4 months, my siatica was terrible and the nerve still tingles now and again but I do everything I can before the injury now don’t give up and keep a good attitude
Apologies but disc injuries take anywhere between 3-6-9-12-24 months to recover. You'll be blessed to have recovery in the first 3 months. 6 months if your lucky
I have had a Cervical Disc bilateral bulge C5 C6 area beginning 7/2020 through current. Pain had gone from an 8-9 out of 10 to now between .5 - 2. It still sucks and was going to get a Microdisectomy and Fusion but have since canceled it. The reason why is because the surgery has a tendency not to resolve the issue from my research but it might and the fusion can degenerate the above and below discs. So if I'm already very uncomfortable and possibly in pain why would I subject myself to another problem later one. So far I have decided to sign up for Chiropractic Biophysics clinic in my area whom specializes in these techniques. It's like physically therapy combined with Chiropractics. They show on multiple x-rays what your spinal issues are at the beginning and construct a regiment to your specific problem(s). Three visits a week then changing gears up to three months and possibly a year if not remedied. I'm in my first week.
You're right. Took me 3 months to feel better, but still not fully recover 18 months later. In my case the MRI was showing degenerative disc disease at L5S1 with evidence of an extruded hernia that was compressing mildly the dural sac but significantly compressing the S1 nerve root, resulting in atrocious pain & discomfort
Yes, but the symptoms get better even after a few weeks of physio, ok f course it takes months to go back to normal,. Actually you will have to work on it for ever
AL H Did 3 cycles of Naproxen then started physio and did all the exercises prescribed on a daily basis. I was bless to deal with a physio & friend that was pretty knowledgeable about herniated disc . He's been physio for pro football team and treated lots of pro athletes over the years. I Didn't want to get the epidural /cortisone shots due to possible side effect & risk. Glad I didnt :)

There is a new accupuncture therapy out of UK called microelectrics. One session of this healed my lower back pain and sciatica I’ve been having for a week from injury by 80%. After 1-2 days the shooting pain went away. I would describe it as 100 accupuncture needles while being massaged but is non invasive. The electrical charges stimulate the nerves to heal the disc also help with blood flow. Recommend this!
I had a spine surgery 8 weeks ago. Nothing was helping to heal my herniated disc:( It got so painful that I did not even thought about not having the surgery. So far I get my life back and will be extra careful! Post surgery pain was nothing comparing to the pinched nerve pain.

For all those who found this cause they or a loved one are currently suffering, IMHO this is one of the best overviews you’re going to find. I’m one who has been trying to understand as I’m on day 35 of a unbelievable and unbelievably painful journey and this is the first who actually uses the SURGERY word. Due to my very fast journey relative to most, I wanted to share how at ONLY 35 days in I’ve arrived for SURGERY scheduled on March 5th and honestly hope someone can relate and provide me any other type of hope other than what seems massively inevitable for me. I’m a 47 year old, fairly active and 35 days ago while seated, I simply bent down to my left to pick something up off the floor and snap...lower back snapped so hard that while I knew I wouldn’t see anything I still looked into the mirror just making sure my lower back wasn’t immediately purple which of course it wasn’t. Tried to “power thru” Week one jumping onto an airplane and experienced pain moving from left lower out to waist and hip. Week 2, my left leg no longer worked. Insane!! 3 original doctors all within same practice said “shots for life or surgery”, since then MRI and epidural all were expedited. In short, 3 herniated disc w big problem L4-L5 foraminal disc protrusion causing stenosis. For reference, if you end up considering the cortisone epidural and you have this, consult HEAVY w doc as my result was 13 hours of the most intense neural burning I could never have imagined. If your nerve can’t get thru the canal, what happens when you add more fluid??? Hell happens! While that shot was “just” 5 days ago, it was apparent it wouldn’t work on me so scheduled apt w neurosurgeon and as mentioned March 5th is go time. PLEASE let me know if you’ve experienced such a quick loss of leg mobility and strength or if this relates to your experience. Would love to hear some hope! And PLEASE if you currently are experiencing this, talk way more to your doctor about the cortisone epidural if you have stenosis as well. I probably would’ve still gone for it as by then we are praying for anything, but I promise you...if you don’t have room for that nerve, lost mobility of a leg, you REALLY need to understand the potential of what could negatively unfold. Thank you for reading and best wishes for all. Sorry you or a loved one have to endure this.
Hi. I am not sure if this answer is going to help you, but you said you heard a snap when you pick something up on your left side. I experienced something similar and after the snap my body couldn't stand up straight for weeks. My right hip was higher than my left. I speak Spanish and some English, so I found a video in Spanish that said to do a diet. I did it and my pain went away. The diet is basically to blend a raw potato in a glass of water and drink it first time in the morning for 9 days. Take 3 cups of herbal teas for 30 days (each one include 1Tbsp of each herb, oregano, thyme, rosemary, dandelion). Also, a sort of a vegetarian diet for 15 days; lower the amount of animal protein and increase your vegetables. Exclude oranges and tangerines. Exclude any chocolate. Avoid foods that could cause inflammation like coffee, alcohol, refine carbs, dairy, package food, junk basically. Increase water intake with lemon juice, go to bed early and just walking (not intense exercising). The video said that your small intestine gets inflame and then pressures your spine on your RIGHT side, so in time you get a herniated disc that shows pain on your LEFT side. Anyway, it does not hurt to try and see if you get some relief. I also followed to videos more with exercises to unblock my sciatica. Just check them out and see if they are right for you. I took the time to write you because I experienced severe low back pain to the point that I felt like I am 100 years old. Wish you the best. Here are the videos: ruclips.net/video/oij9JVwjlNA/видео.html. If you go to minute 6 you see how your hip is unbalanced, and your left leg is longer than your right leg. Then he talks about the diet and the cause of small intestines and liver inflammation according to TMC traditional Chinese medicine. Then minute 18 shows exercises and said to search for a physiotherapist to help you with better exercises. This exercises helped me, you will need to see if they are right for you: ruclips.net/video/QJhRnkzNYjA/видео.html ruclips.net/video/9SKuFe2SERs/видео.html ruclips.net/video/lM4nWGYuZbo/видео.html

moeez awan hey Moeez, I did indeed have the procedure on March 5th and while there were some complications as in the surgeon really had to apply more pressure to move the nerve, the protruded disc portion literally broke into a dozen+ pieces, all in all...THE PAIN was replaced with expected soreness as they had to come at it from the side hence muscle was disturbed, and mild discomfort. I’m currently walking with ZERO pain and prior to surgery the pain level had me believing that perhaps my hip, knee, and ankle (all left) were fractured or at least damaged. It’s all gone man!! For 5 days after the surgery I still felt numbness, not tingling but numbness in my left foot. Figured it could’ve been permanent damage however that has gone away. Everyday my walking gets stronger, post op follow up to remove 11 staples (8 for the entrance to L4-L5 from the side and 3 for the incision for the camera on the right side of lower spine/waist) and PT expected to resume on March 24. First 6 weeks, need to be super careful not to BLT (bend, left, twist) as there’s no fatty tissue preventing re-herniation at L4-L5 but man...WHAT A POSITIVE RESULT at this point. Reality was I had no choice. My left leg was literally destroyed after 8 days of original injury. Didn’t have a choice but super happy w result. How are you doing and are you at a decision point? Here if you want to chat man! Hang in there!!

I had a herniated disk resulting from a bad twist while carrying a load on my shoulder. It was one of, if not the worst experiences of my life. I did not sleep for 3 months. I did not miss one day of work. (Self employed). Pain medication didn't even touch it. If I was in continual motion it would be a constant 5 or 6 of pain. The second I stopped moving it would seize and shoot me through the ceiling. I could not take time off for surgery. Brutal. Long story short. It heeled. Took 6 months. And has never troubled me since. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
Had nasty herniated cervical disc few years ago neurosurgeon was keen to operate ! I was not given agony of previous one - went swimming regularly to build up muscles - front crawl not breastroke ! This combined with better posture let to it resolving itself despite surgeon saying it woulnt - having had cervical and lumbar disc surgery always try for conservative measures first ! 😊
When I was ending my mandatory military service I was forced to have an ACDF for a 7mm C3-C4 extrusion the exruciating symptoms of which I toughed out with no real pain management or help. The neurologist said that I shouldn't rush to do the surgery since the symptoms went down but the neurosurgeon literally forced me to do it. 8 months after a "succesful" surgery I am hit with CONSTANT pain that doesn't respond to NSAIDs at all and now I am unable to do almost anything either because it's accutely painful or because it leads to increased pain for the next 2 days. I can predict clouds storms and rain 3 times better than my local meteorological station (not nearly as cool as it sounds... I basically just start swirming and clenching my teeth from the pain and within 5-10 minutes I can just announce the weather for the next 8-16 hours). At the same time I can't plan any long visits to my friends, my family is hurting along and I can't work to support myself. The neurosurgeon after charging me an insane ammount (now that I am not insured as a soldier) for just one visit told me that the surgery is perfect and to just "deal with it". PS: I was discharged 4 days after surgery with minimal direction and even though it was evident I couldn't move my head around they told me to lighten up, never mentioned PT and sent me home with directions to take Paracetamol or whatever NSAID I had at home (later learned that this can cause a bad or failed fusion). I am 27 years old and I want my life back.
@@leobesa2887 Not well unfortunately. 2 days ago I was informed that if I develop any kind of tolerance to opioids (60mg codeine is the maximum availlable for prescription for non-cancer pain) they won't be able to adjust since they are very limited and generally not availlable in my country and in a few hours I'm meeting another neurosurgeon as per my orthopedic's instructions for an honest evaluation (my orthopedic straight up told me to not expect a second surgery to make it any better). Last time I cleaned the house and did some work my pain shot up and I got a 4 day migraine from it (untreated pain = more pain). I have been only taking painkillers at night to somewhat sleep (they are sometimes not enough) so I don't develop a tolerance as quickly. My options in this country have become very limited and fall between trying Kratom which is soon getting banned, fleeing the country to get proper pain management or commiting suicide (I am contradicted on whether it's within my morality to get illegal drugs which might land me in jail with no hope of ever getting relief again)

I hope the best for your recovery no matter what the treatment but make sure you find out if there are less invasive treatments or surgeries available. Hi, I went to a physiotherapist a month ago and was diagnosed with a bulging disc (stage 1), probably not slipped or ruptured. I've had this problem for 1.5 years and had an MRI done then. The results showed a posterior disc bulge at l4/l5 with no nerve root compression. I also have schmorl's nodes at l2/l3, l3/4 and l4/5. The physiotherapist told me to do some exercises like Mckenzie and exercises that build core muscles to strengthen my core. However both Mckenzie and exercises do not seem to work for me and seem to aggravate the pain. My pain is is very slight, prickly and not always present. I'm sure that it's the sciatic nerve but it usually only causes a funny, weak feeling only and not a really sharp pain down my left leg. Sometimes the local area (l4/5) can feel uncomfortable. Because my problem isn't too severe yet it's still very uncomfortable and doesn't go away, I have stopped the exercises because they seem to cause more pain than when I do not do them. I also have a pull up bar I use to hang on to decompress my spine and relieve the pain, but that also only worsens it. What should I do? My physiotherapist said that a new MRI scan would likely not yield any new findings.
No one answered you so I"ll take a shot. I have a stiff lower back and what helps me a lot is walking. Take two walks per day, 15 minutes each. I also never stand still, I wiggle my hips when standing in the kitchen or even brushing my teeth. Just keep moving the back gently. Also, have you tried one of those arch shaped plastic things that you lay on? It helps gently decompress your lower back. You can find them on Amazon for about 29 dollars.
@@congdao3444 I don't believe I have a herniated or bulging disk but I have piriformis syndrome and a stiff lower back due to over exercise when I was younger. How about just laying on your stomach and reading in that position, and doing that several times a day. Also, how about wiggling your hips for a minute, say several times a day? I also have a massage chair, which I use every day for twenty minutes or so. And gel ice packs can be nice to have under the back from time to time. Try everything. And don't forget the most important thing of all: do not eat junk food and cut out the sugar!! NO SODAS especially. Hope this helps. Do not give up.
@@LisaMurphy my main problem is sciatica which goes down the leg. Yeah reducing sitting time helps for me. Is there a particular reason for cutting down on junk food/sugar/sodas? Like how is it related to the back

My doctor said that decompression techniques don't work due to the amount of force it would take to decompress a disc. He said that to decompress something it would be necessary to secure the ends with screws to be able to pull it out. Could it be that he doesn't believe in these techniques due to lack of knowledge or not being up to date with new discoveries?
I have had the pain for 4 months....It sucks since I'm too scared to drive long distances, golf, go on long walks, sit in a movie, etc. I'm a pain to be around since I can never commit to fun
@Ben Apeh I have had this pain for 6 months now. 3 epidurals. I think it's time I get surgery. It's not "unbearable" pain but it's so dull and chronic that I still dislike sitting at restaurants or being in the car for over an hour. Being in the move helps a lot or sitting on my stomach. Sitting or being in a casual setting sucks.
Don’t forget. Lots of water. Assists with blood flow and provides lubricant for the spine. For some reason this is NEVER mentioned. Average 100 ounces a day and try to walk 10-20 min every hour depending on pain levels. My condition plateaued due to ignoring these things.
Really good video! I might have a bulging disk, getting a MRI next week. Wish you weren't over 800 miles away, I'd be there. You wouldn't happen to do zoom medical visits would you? That would be awesome if you did.
I'm 25 and I have been in pain for 7 months, finally I did an MRI and was shocked to know that I had prolapsed disc, no on thought it was even possible for someone of my age to get it so randomly, I have been in treatment for a 2 months then after with some meds and constant decompression, doctor recommended complete bed rest to let my spine heal, this has been going on for almost a month, sadly to say at this point I have no relief and symptoms haven't changed,

I live in India. My case is most likely "severe". I've had the pain now for several months. It started when I bent to do something several months ago. Felt like something broke in my back and got this shooting pain in my lumbar region. How do I know if it is herniated disc or DDD?
It’s most likely herniated if you felt shooting pain while doing something physical even just bending down. But the only way to know for sure is getting an MRI
About the bulging disc . So when you say to heal it means it ll go back like w normal healthy disk . Or it s just going back inside in the right position but still thin and tared inside
I recovered from disk by by regularly doing yoga namaskar for 2 months ,,, still I am continuing the excercise for its benefit of Concentration improvement
My disk healed. But it took some pain blocks and a lot of pain and stretches It was in between L4 and L5...also stopped sitting so much and used a towel behind my back when I had to drive... all seemed to help. Good luck if you have this painful problem
Cell King South Africa for me it took about 6 to 8 months to feel much better.. pain blocks seem to help me best, then just doing the exercises and stretching. All seemed to get me back to where I am now.. but if it ever happens again. I will for sure have surgery. Not going through that again
Beka Machurishvili raise the foot of bed fifteen to eighteen inches, secure feet to foot of bed, I found a car inner tube, works best. Body weight provides the stretch. First of all, Thank you. I have a qustion I had terrible pain a year ago, I had 12mm disk herniation (l5-s1). didi some physical therapy and after few month MRI showed than my disc herniation was only 8mm. So it healed a little bit. after that I do regular stretches and it doesnt hurt anymore. I was dancer before and I really want to dance again. @@kimkats8895 hey how are you now?? Hope you're doing well ❤️🩹. Did you had another MRI To know the size of herniated now. Are you healed completely. Can you dance again
I suffered one just recently. All but certain because didn’t even get an MRI but sciatic nerve pain and the usual symptoms occurred with mine. My case may not be as severe as many others but getting and staying active helps a ton. Just avoid anything that directly loads the spine until you are 100%. I do the McGill Big 3 bare minimum once per day doing multiple sets of each. Recovery isn’t linear but pain is trending down overall. Don’t sleep on learning core stability, learning how to breathe & brace and avoiding rounding the lumbar spine to pick things up or doing normal tasks. If the joint is unstable it creates minuscule unwanted movements that can generate pain so keeping your core tight can help mitigate that. Hope this helps some of you!
I am on my second round of cortisone shots for sciatica that has me on my back. The doctor says it is caused by arthritis and I am 56. Is surgery the only way?
tony simmons no no, it’s not painful at all. I did it a few times. But I heard that this adjustment should not be done too often. So I do spinal decompression now.

The circumstances around is for most people not interesting, however I know that the lower back will heal it self given enough rest. Surgery is false and not what they claim it to be, so if I could change the decision from when I was young, would do it in a heartbeat. Since I in my 30s lifted 145kg w/4 repetitions in dead lift, which would be impossible with a damage spine. Also when I have pain it do not come from the spine, but the hip bone on each side. From my point of view; hospitals and doctors are performing some very unethical procedures which for most people are to much to comprehend. Then we can ask ourselves. I've recovered from 3 herniated disc, periformas syndrome, and a hip slip.

- Ice pack only no heat, helps reduce inflammation.
‐ Inversion table, decompresses the spine to allow disc to heal. Go easy, you don't need to be upside down to improve.
- Dr./ Chiropractor, alignment and stretching only. Make sure they are good.
- Magnesium, Fish Oil, Zinc for pain it works.
- As you get better exercise to strengthen those areas.

I going to do it because I have a lot of pain
What is inversion table?
IMPORTANT
A Little Update: September 2021.
Interesting. All the best!

I find tens helps - and exercise! Yoga is great.

I felt the herniated disk but i didn't take any precaution (should have listened to my body)
It's been 2 days, i can't walk without a cane but no pain in my legs due to nerve compression.
Good luck

I've heard researchers found herniated discs that are on the worse end of the spectrum have a more speedy recovery.

Here are the videos:
ruclips.net/video/oij9JVwjlNA/видео.html.

J F did you end up getting surgery? And if so how are you doing?
moeez awan hey Moeez, I did indeed have the procedure on March 5th and while there were some complications as in the surgeon really had to apply more pressure to move the nerve, the protruded disc portion literally broke into a dozen+ pieces, all in all...THE PAIN was replaced with expected soreness as they had to come at it from the side hence muscle was disturbed, and mild discomfort.

Glad you are doing okay now

Did it heal on it’s own ?
How are you feeling now sir? I hope you're better.

@@LisaMurphy thanks for the suggestions. Walking makes it worse for me.Do you have any disc problems?
Like how is it related to the back
@@congdao3444 Like cut that garbage out or you'll never get better. Read up on how it's related, especially carbonated soft drinks. If you're serious about getting better then you'd better get SERIOUS.

Sitting or being in a casual setting sucks.

Good luck if you have this painful problem
how long it took to heal
Cell King South Africa for me it took about 6 to 8 months to feel much better.. pain blocks seem to help me best, then just doing the exercises and stretching. All seemed to get me back to where I am now.. but if it ever happens again. I will for sure have surgery. Not going through that again

Since I found relief from herniated disc by traction, decided to stay stretched. Ten years of sciatica gone! Takes time, crutches to get around.
icy2 how does traction work
Beka Machurishvili raise the foot of bed fifteen to eighteen inches, secure feet to foot of bed, I found a car inner tube, works best. Body weight provides the stretch. Flexing feet against resistance of tube, helps, I think. Was completely free of sciatica, five years, then it came back, last May. Results this time, a year later, movement pain went away in September, soreness is persistent, getting better. Was a longer recovery this time, do not neglect to traction, ever after, like I did , so won’t get again

My MRI shows mild herniated disk and it’s from my right side. Why I have both legs pain?🥺Thank you 😊
Did u get an answer to this?

Sorry to hear that.. ur pain s real.. and ur brain is producing your pain.. .. but it can be changed.. read about neuroplasticity.. follow my channel..
How are u now
How are you now?? Hope you're doing well ❤️🩹
Use back stretcher where ever you seat. Sofa, PC chair etc. also on bed for an hour before you sleep.
Change your mattress if it’s too soft or make your back sag. Try this. It fixed my HD
Use back stretcher on level 2
My herniated disc needed emergency surgery and it was the most painful experience I've ever suffered through!
Lyn did u have microdisectomy?
@@MC-ny9do I did. Laminectomy with microdiscectomy. It has been five years and the disc has progressively herniated again. If I cant get it under control with chiropractic or steroid shots the VA has told me I'll need a spinal fusion. ☹
Lyn rly? Omg :/ i was planning on getting a microdiscectomy but i dont want it to comeback
@@MC-ny9do I think a lot of people have really good results, but I'm one of the unlucky ones. My disc completely herniated and I needed emergency surgery. I think that may have had something to do with the condition it is in now. :(
@@lyn883 Had a surgery for a slipped disk at the age of 16-17. Now I am closing into the 40s and understand it was all a hoax.
Who is the most sick of the people visiting to get assistance or those who work there..
A microdysectomy with a 1" incision had me up and ok in 2 days without any further trouble!
did you get a mri to check the health of your disk?
Had two in my neck. 9 months and 6 months of pure hell but it healed both times. Right arm was 85% numb. No surgery.
which exercise you did for neck
HiTMAN 47 the best exercise imo is to look forward and move neck backwards in the straight position. So you are tucking your chin back. 10 seconds and hold and repeat.
so youre fine now? thats great. Also did you have numbness in your hand?
So many good tips and explanations!!
Thanks for watching!
how i can give you my MRI image.?
