We hit Edale about 2pm, and after waiting for Dan to jump off the train, we steadily made our way up towards the woolpacks, crossing amazing rock formations, dry river beds made of huge boulders and dried out mooreland.
The weather was gorgeous, really warm, around 17c and very minimal wind, so the hike up was a little sweaty as you could probably tell by all the panting haha!
We wild camped on the Woolpacks - The Woolpacks are a large cluster of smooth, gritstone formations formed by weathering and erosion on the moors and boasts stuning scenery for miles around, from views up to Kinder Scout and out across the Valley back over to Edale.
Absolutely stunning scenes, this walk was really fun, we took one of the most direct routes up to the Woolpacks from Edale and then took Kinder down through Jacobs ladder and over and on to Edale.
A total of just over 13km Hike with 14kg backbacks. I'd highly recommend this route.
