I've walked and Mountain biked ,and gone underneath it ,I'm to old now but to see it all again is magic to me ,thanks to you both , it evokes memories of surprise and joy of finding such beautiful countryside to where I live .the sense of freedom and open spaces and the Rugged beauty was awe inspiring to a young man who's day job ,was down a coal mine , WE have a lot to be thankful for the people who fought for the RIGHT TO ROAM, in the 30s .

Watched your video on Friday night and it inspired me to get up early Saturday 12th June and visit some of these places! Passed through Castleton but didn't stop as we wanted to get to places that we had never been before. (Castleton and Mam tor are great places to visit and we have been there several times.) Continued up to Bamford Edge (our first ever visit) it was amazing especially the view over Ladybower resevoir! Then on to Curbar Edge which was equally spectacular! Back home with a stop for a late lunch in Bakewell which was buzzing on this lovely summer's day, via Monyash, Longnor and Leek. A fabulous day out! Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi. I fell upon this and, living on the edge of the Peak District and having walked all your top 10, I enjoyed it very much. Interesting pronounciation of Curbar, which is Curber locally. My other favourites are: Padley Gorge, Edale and Kinder Scout with Kinder Downfall, Luds Church, Alport Castles, Bretton Clough and so many more. The Peak District is so underrated!

Great video guys, Nicely put together with some wonderful drone footage. I enjoyed the fact that you didn’t do a predictable Top Ten with the obvious hotspots and instead included places like Thor’s Cave and Robin Hood’s Stride which are great places. I live a short walk from Black Rocks so was nice to see the aerial footage of the area too. Everyone will have their opinion on their favourite Peak District locations and you could easily do parts 2,3 and 4 but I think that was a great selection to kick it off. Thanks 👍

    My top three-
Edale to Kinder Scout, via Jacobs Ladder; robust challenge for beginners but views you won't forget.
Stanage edge, if you walk up from Hathersage you are treated to quaint little farms and quiet wooded outcrops on your way up.
Dovedale. Yes it's touristy but you can't beat it for a quick fix of vistas, flowing water, and an all round lovely spot for a family picnic that won't have anyone complaining about being out of breath.

Nice video - I had never heard of some of these areas although I've been walking in the Peak District numerous times. The Castleton area is a good shout since there are several interesting show caves to see in case of inclement weather putting one off a long walk. I would also recommend Stanage Edge near Hathersage (although I've also walked Curbar Edge as it was so convenient to Chatsworth).

I've been to Castleton many times and yes there is so much to see and do. The areas around Buxton is very popular as well. You will see many great places between Matlock and Bakewell. The A6 road goes through some spectacular scenery.
I have travelled to so many places around the world (mainly tropical locations and Med countries) but I am always appreciative of the natural beauty of Peak District which is basically at my door step or should I say 30-45 minutes drive from my house

I am surprised you didn't include Lathkill Dale which is so beautiful but then again there are so many amazing places to see there. Italy is my favourite European destination having been there 5 times and been to Greece 3 times which included Greek Island Cruise. I am looking forward to more of these videos of Peak District - you could include Matlock Bath and the cable car as well with the views at the top

@@HayandKyle Wow Venice 12 times!! That's amazing. I have been to Venice once and Florence twice but never been to Bologna and Verona though. Apart from Rome, I went to Milan, Pisa, Siena, Vernazza, Amalfi Coast (Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento), Capri Islands, Sardinia, Sicily, Napoli and Pompeii. Your "backyard" is stunning haha. Matlock Bath is essentially part of the Peak District but there are lot of beautiful places around Glossop that are stunning but I can't remember the names. I guess I could come to the Peak District in the summer since I know I won't be going abroad until everything calms down. Last year in March I was almost stranded in Boracay in the Philippines but I did managed to get back to England in the nick of time when I had to cut that holiday short so it looks like Peak District will be my summer destination for this year

In terms of another location, I would suggest, ECCLES PIKE (near Chapel-en-le-Frith), which has a stunning 360 degree view, taking in, Whaley Bridge, Manchester, Chinley Churn, Kinder Scout, Combs Reservoir, and of course, Chapel-en-le-Frith.

I currently live in Buxton and have driven past that Magpie Mine lots of times and wondered what the building was. I think I will stop next time and have a wander. I liked the fact you didn't go for the obvious choices, especially Parkhouse Hill. That often gets overlooked as most people just fly past on the main A53 and Ashbourne Roads into Buxton. The southern part of the Peaks have some stunning landscapes and are often ignored in favour of the tourist magnets, Bakewell, Edale and Castleton.

Behind the Crescent there are several very popular restaurants, etc. One just recently opened at an old Pump House which had been empty for years.
