How to create an Ion Drive Engine at home with ready available components. Copper Sulfate Crystals, 40,000v supply purchased from Amazon My patreon account is / andrewwatts164
If you switch positive to the crown shaped ring and negative to the tube, you'll produce more wind from the duct, blowing on the candle rather than pulling the flame like in the video. I'd also try increasing the spacing between the two rings by ~0.25-0.5" and you can reduce the arcing
Hi as you are probably aware the Victorian scientists knew the electrons were flowing but did not know which way so they guest that they flowed positive to negative but unfortunately they guest wrong. electrons flow negative to positive. what you see with the candle is that the candle is in the backdraft and not in the main flow. electron flow is negative to positive. many thanks for your comment and thanks for viewing.
Hi I am based out of Houston my main background is 25 years in airline flight systems and autopilot component overhaul and test equipment design. call me
So you have any insight into the spacing between the point bits on your crown shaped part? Would stranded wire work well or perhaps an unbroken circle sharpened to a fine tip?
Every time I see someone make an Ion thruster, it makes me think: Why just limit with 1 transmitter, and 1 receiver? And then usually the next step people take to get more thrust is: They just add more sets of 1 transmitter to 1 receiver. My proposal: Why not add 2-3 (or more) transmitters, to 1 receiver (depending on its design)? or ad 2-3 (or more) receivers, to 1 transmitter (depending on its design)? Yes. One of the goals is to get the weight down, for sure. But! Shouldn't the first goal be in getting optimal thrust first? Then worry about the weight reduction after?
Capacitors are naughty basically a taser ,the fact that you can make this at home ,what an age to live in
Legitimately super cool build. Absolutely interesting to see the build of this, and the final result too, of course. Good job on the video.

Good Job 👍
Gracias de Uruguay 🇺🇾..singlair Pareja...
fantastic !

Do you consider the Flower or Seed of Life when creating an ionic type plasma? 🕸️🌼🔥👀
Why is the candel flame going toward the plasma discharge?
try playing with a magnet around in various positions
try getting a ZVS cause it has 2 backEMF pulses or smth
Try ACMHD
If you need ideas ofc
i wonder if rotating plasma electrodes would add more thrust? no-one is rotating them yet...
Was that sucking the flame in?
is it deadly if we get electrocuted by it ?

What if you put a magnet?
Do we have to supply Direct current to the module or AC is ok?
I'm pretty sure you need DC
@@basementdweller24 is a transformer needed for this?
@@lsaacNewton most likely
The power is two AA batteries
@@andrewwatts5625 what other components were used else than step-up module and AA batteries?
Usted sabe si se le probó en vacío..y/o en el espacio....
They use in drive motors to power small inter planitary spaceships so it should work
Some people are hard to please, 16k views and 238 likes, why aren't people generous with liking things ?
Can you build me an Iron Man suit next?
Sorry only Copper plated PVC man suit. /sarc
Why not put a car ignition coil after the taser module !!!
Mine just makes arcs and lots of noise.
Yehh you build 1 good kochfeeld to kichen😅
Wig Schweißer so.. hold my beer!
Is it just me or does she attract fire?
yep, fire is basically plasma that have charged particles and that are getting attracted like a magnet.
its reversed...
