The key to catching really big trout on the jetties is to be there when the green water pushes in from off shore , I have seen the water change from sandy to green and immediately start catching 28 plus inch trout on your exact rig !

Hey there ! We live @510 same street as you , I have a nephew who is “trying “ to fish. He comes up from Chicago about every 4 months they will be back down in October and he wants to catch “a big one” he has caught several baby sharks from the beach but still hasn’t got one he can brag about. We would love to get some advice from you if possible.

I like using my current setup. It’s a two piece 9’ MH spinning rod with a 4000 reel. Perfect for the jetty rocks and the Dike.
