The whole don’t change your trans fluid argument is they wait to service their transmission AFTER they notice issues which is too late. That’s why they say don’t change it
What are those metal rectangular pieces in minute 10:13. They look like some sort of magnet. Also, what is the spray you were using in minute 11:42. I don't have the guts to do that type of service anymore, but am interested....
@@DLMGarage Those magnets had lot's of glitter stuck to them, which is why you didn't see glitter anywhere else. They needed to be cleaned thoroughly and returned to just inside those little divets in the pan where you found them. The glitter was on the high end of normal for a transmission that was serviced 60k ago. I would not have used the brake cleaner inside the transmission for fear of contamination.
Some people have managed to get the pan out without jacking the engine, using a bunch of box wrenches etc. and I have a ratcheting 10mm box wrench, so I mean to try. Torque is 8 ft-lbs on the filter bolts and 6 on the pan bolts. I don't know what it is on the engine mount bolts??
Hey brother excellent video. Did you use brake parts cleaner to hose down the transmission from the bottom or something else? Im just wondering if thats ok because of the wires and stuff. Thanks!
