Abs ko squeeze karte time saans chhodni hai aur stretch karte time saans leni hai. Same concept, jab jyada effort lage to exhale jab kam lage tab inhale.
what if we are using resistance bands ?
Bands or weights, breathing technique would remain the same.
Basically exhale while contracting and inhale while streching. Irrespective of the equipment used.
During squats, shouldn't the opposite of what was told be followed?
Muscle contraction = exhale
When in squat position/ sitting position, hams are contracted = shouldn't we exhale here?

Hello Vinod, Sitting movement in squats is your eccentric where your leg muscles stretch (muscle lengthening) so inhale. When you stand, your muscles contract(muscle shortening) hence exhale.

Sorry, but I didn’t get your question. There is no issue if you breathe through your mouth. That’s how you supposed to breathe during workout.
