Amazing library. The grooves will suit those that require them, but I will be using this as a sample library, not necessarily as a player. Phenomenal sounds!
Been using it for 10 years . Excellent . Thanks guys, session kit my favourite with a few tweaks.
Why are all these drum VSTs obsessed with pre-written grooves? I can write my own drum parts, I just need good sounding samples and effects.
yup!
Same. In this, you are able to make your own parts, right? I would never buy something that could only let you choose from a already-created set of patterns lol
Andrew B.
Yes you can totally make your own drums!
Right, we can make our own drums, but we still have to download and install half the features of this VST which are something we would never use. What I'm saying is that Native Instruments is putting their focus and efforts in the wrong place. They should work on improving their samples and options rather than loading down their VST with grooves.
Shadow Image I agree, although I can see why some people who don't play drums (or have the knowledge of where hits would go) would want grooves to loop, but they should still try to show off how well it works for people who *Only* want it because of the samples, to create your own parts
god damn, listening to the music, the drum tracks just fit in so well
sounds completely vivid and unsimulated
this library is freaking SICK!
THIS LIBRARY STILL AMAZING !
+AdamVideoProductions Seriously, why?
OH I SEE THAT YOU DID HERE.
hey fellow drummers. Theres no reason to feel threatened because they have to hire drummers to make these samples. Theres plenty of career opportunities left for us in this music business. Plus a computer doesn't have the feel that we do which is always important ;)
Well, as a songwriter who started on drums 35 years ago, I don't feel threatened. Because with this I no longer need to play my drums first before laying down my other instruments. I replace the SD click track last with my own live playing (because nothing beats the real deal). It speeds up the whole creative process.
you guys are so epic! keep up the good work!
I came across this and realized i've heard that Garage kit used on a song I really like which makes me giggle, good stuff!
Being a drummer and dubstep producer, this looks to be perfect for me. The tiny differences in timing and sound you can make playing manually can't be replaced by little squares on a screen. Not for me at least.
Amazing Drum Software!
Yeah, I play it By my electronic drums, and it is incredible
wow this is amazing
@WayneWiblin Indeed. Love that I can mix cymbals separately!
But I should say I like Studio drummer too. I bought it after watching demos and wasn't disappointed at all. I still like AD most but this VST is not bad at all. Especially their snare.Try it if you have a chance.
@pleximanic
I completely agree with that. And for the musicians who do not have a (good) drummer, such drum-programs are great.
@infectiousfiles it's a kontakt instrument, you can import your own sounds into kontakt. Kontakt is a sampler.
ja testou ez drummers , adictivie drums , muito loko gostei do studio drumers tbm dificil escolha :)
"STUDIO DRUMMER is the perfect realization of a drummer in software." But does it also deliver pizza and sell weed on the side?
+David Leisner Does it get dropped off by a stripper?
does it show up late to practice
does it not know *that* song yet, so the band can't play it?
no but it gets all the chicks by brooding and being sad.
perfect. Thank you
After trying AD, the newest EZ drummer, steven slate... This library still blows them out of the water. IMO this is the best sounding drum library by far. You should really consider doing a follow-up with the same recording techniques. These drums sound astonishing.
How to trigger the cow bell or claps or tamborine ?
Best vst drum sound I’ve heard so far
After 10 years, its still the most realistic vst drumset ever!!!
You guys should update this to match the vibes of the other session instruments. Phrase keys that play different patterns and fills.
Damn, this sounds pretty tight. I'll have to check this out!
that's what she said
It's the best! Version 2 is coming?
because everyone can just hire a drummer. Also, everyone has the space and recording equipment to record and work with a drummer. Also, the drummer is available whenever you are.
Or maybe that's not true? Maybe that's why this is awesome.
1:06 i'm so glad a drumset can finally give me the derp
Lmao
Lmfao
The Garage Kit gives you the derp. I am sold.
😂😂😂☠️
I WILL SAY 7 years later the derp is still SLAPPING
@@ChrisHBRogers You have earned omega Chad levels of respect for commenting on a comment from so long ago, cheers
How about Studio Drummer 2 already? It has been 9 years. We are already at Superior Drummer 3. Now that you released Guitar Rig 6 I think Studio Drummer deserves an update, don't you?
It definitely does! We'll share your comments with our teams 🤞
@@NativeInstruments It does not seem like the team takes my same opinion. I love Studio Drummer, but it could use an update.
@KevinMason81 You have Vir2 Acoustics Legends Hd, Spectrasonics Trilian, Vir2 Electri6ity, MuiscLab RealGuitar 2L, Vir2 Acoustic Legends HD, Kontakt, and many of the Daw softwares like Apple Logic, have a lot of guitar presets and effects.
i like the drum track
i am used to use EZD2 and EZX from Toontrack but now, i think here, it sounds better
COOOOOWWWBBBBELLLLLLLL!!!!
Needs more man
tparser.org/Native-Instruments-STUDIO-DRUMMER
@DrumEagle Real drummers and drums were used to record this, and they'll never be obsolete because we need the authentic sound even for electronic music.
this program works awesome with cubase
Does it djent?
Thank for video👌 .
But I very need to know is it important to scale the drum beat . I mean to be tuning to and match with strnings scale . Or not ?
I might have considered buying this if it wasn't for the utter pain in the arse experience of their online registration via service centre I had.I have never ever got so wound up in my life and vowed never to use their products again.I ended up selling kontakt to someone else and went back to hardware.Their stuff was ok when you just put in a few numbers from your cd case and it worked immediately. Now you even have to beg for permission to sell on,a product you paid for.Amazing.
So could I use this along side Steven Slate Drums?
The midi browser is just what I need.
I like the way NI do things, I understand it.
You can map all of the sounds in Studio drummer or just use one of the presets maps. It'll be set to "default" by default...strangely lol
I LIKE MODERN DRUMS
I just find out about it, I own sd3 does studio drummer has midi compatible with Roland td50? And is a good plug and play or it needs a lot of tweaking to play with E drums?
@147147Nick Addictive drums has more tweaking which is why I like it. Also EZ Drummer used to crash one of my old rigs. I think I prefer the snares of EZ Drummer however.
But can it do double kick breakdowns?
This is quite the roadblock for aspiring studio drummers ahaa
Sounds a bit better than redrum, B'hah. But seriously, any thoughts or experience compared to ezdrummer2 from toontracks?
Can you do a video showing this working with an e-drum kit. or Maschine?
So can you insert your own samples into it? I'm guessing because it uses Kontakt that they will allow Nki and Wav?
@DrumEagle Do not forget that you must have a GOOD drummer knowledge and skill to make it sound good and true, one must therefore know how to use their tools and instruments to create good music, you can not buy rhythmic knowledge in the supermarket, only hard work can give you this understanding!
Does it sound better than any EZX with Toontrack ez drummer 2 too ?
What this library and the Abbey road series needs is a bunch more mixer presets.
Seemes good. I don't think I'll ever use this though. Considering I play noobishly on my own drums. :)
can you control these kits with a usb drum kit via usb like alesis makes these days?
is it a vst software? So can I use it for recording in e.g. cubase?
@WithoutConviction I was your 100th thumbs up. Derp!
@KevinMason81 yes, are you talking about software guitar instruments?
Can this be triggered and played by a midi set up like thier other drum software ? I have Abbey road 80s drums now playing it with my Roland drum kit. and would love to be able to do the same with this.
Can I use this with Sonar Platinum?
Wait... Please tell me you'll be able to program your own MIDI-grooves with this.
Is there any software that allows you to play different types of guitars?
any chance of Roland HD-1 drum maps for the abbey road series and this?
can you change the speed or are you limited to only the three speeds shown in the video?
+RomanByzantine Of course, you can change you tempo in your DAW software.
Does it has a pre sampled snare drum roll?
This one can works for Down Tempo and electronic music?
These drums sound really realistic!! Steven slate drums i thought were really nice but they are not as realstic! Sure Steven slate drums are awesome but these drums is like a real drum set!
Btw whats this song called?
@WithoutConviction :) made me LOL
yep
i wish they had this full mixer in NI's Modern Drums... oh well looks like im upgrading! haha
ARE ALL LOOPS PROGRAMMING FOR 4/4 ?
@EJOpdahl im wondering the same, could i use this with a electric drumkit?
Can I play it with an e-drum?
If so, has it the presets for the most common e-drums (like my roland TD9) ?
Without the presets you are going to lose
some potential buyers like me, that prefer an "easy to use" product instead of a superior product that take me too much time to use it.
@KevinMason81 yes i am referring to software guitar instruments.
@143Chippy yes.
PC or Mac or both?
@trinston13 who did you try to calm down, yourself? ;-)
Make a battery like this with Brazilian samples
Is it possible to drag and drop Studio Drummer Patterns into NI Maschine?
I think I just pee'd my pants!!!! NI does it yet again!!!!
Compatible with Pro Tools 8?
I find it better than NI Modern drums (better sound, plus internal mixer and groove bank) but guys wtf my Kontakt 5 doesnt keep it among its libraries. i mean when close the Kontakt and open it again I gotta look for Studio drums library and add it again. do u have such problem? (I play it under Win 7 x32)
Will it djent?
@ph33rbot101 of course not, but for someone who doesn't play drums and wants drum tracks its perfect.
both in the same package.
Does the library contain 5/4 time signature patterns?
I'll make some for you if you'd like? Let me know what style you need and we can work out a price.
Does this work with ACID?
can this be a plug in for pro toools?????????
am I stuck with the preset configuration, or CAN I ADD MORE TOMS or cymbals ??
@147147Nick I agree with you that Addictive Drums does sound the best. Ez Drummer has a real fake sound where Addictive Drums has the most realistic sound with the most options in mixing the sounds and adjusting each drum ect ect
Should I get Studio Drummer or Groove Agent 4?
Superior
drummer
EZdrummer imo
@teacee yes i am
are the samples pre-mastered or raw like in Superior drummer?
and what do you think witch is beter StudioDrummer vs. SuperiorDrummer ?
hello ten year old comment. for anyone looking at this comment like me:
1. the samples are dry but you can master them with in-suite tools
2. i prefer this plugin, i feel like there’s much more control over the sound
I want to try to recreate popular song's drum parts with this program (I have no experience with drums what so ever). I think about using drum tabs and try to transfer them onto this program. Is it possible?
Clearly, if you can just type in the part of drums midi you want to recreate and get exactly the same rate of battery you are looking for, in this case a popular topic
@WithoutConviction Derpy Hooves! :D
They must come out with Studio Cowbell.
@WithoutConviction Thats exactly what I thought when I heard that.
Yes, but I as an ex Acid user, I suggest you trying Ableton Live 8 =)
IT NEEDS MOAR COWBELL!!!
1:07, did he just say the garage kit gives you "The Derp"? XD
yeah. he defianately said that.
LOL he did
Who can compete with NI???
have reggae and dub prestes?
what is Cymbal digger?
vst?
