    Native Instruments Studio Drummer might not be the most recent drum library, still it sounds really awesome! SD comes with 4 super nice, flexible basic drumkits, that you can easily "transform" using the included mixer presets (to be heard on this demo), or by applying some individual mixing obviously.
    There's edrum mapping support / some helpful remapping features, so you can hook up your Roland v-drums module via midi and get started pretty easily.
    Despite these outstandingly fabulous NI drum sounds, the real shining star of this video are my new beautifully shiny, fully Roland compatible ‪@aehybriddrums‬ CTS low noise e-cymbals on the kit! They play and trigger great, look awesome and undisputably have pro level production quality.
    My new A/E Hybrid cymbal setup:
    2 x 16" Crash
    20" Ride
    14" HiHat
    2 x 10" Splash
    (China coming soon)
    Feel free to reach out, if you have any questions concerning the gear used in the video. Also I'd be super happy, if you found some time to subscribe ‪@digitaldrumming‬ for more blazing solo drumming, music performance & sound demo video content ✌️

    Nice to see the Abbey Roads series getting some love. I've always really liked the sound of all of these kits and considering these libraries are now well over 10yrs old, they still stand up today. I still use most of them regularily.

    Nice Clip as always Ralf! How did you the correct midi mapping with the mimic? Do you use midi learn from NI or one of the mapping presets?

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you Marcus! I’m actually using a Roland td30 module in this video, studio drummer has some v-drums midi mapping presets included, from there I did some midi learn remapping. Kind regards!

    excellent playing as always! How do these AE CTS low volume cymbals "feel" and "trigger"? Compared to Roland? Especially the hats .. say compared to VH14D? Do they gave positional sensing?

    These sound alright, but I don't think the dynamics of the samples is on par with something like Toontrack's plugins. Still cool to see something like this, I don't think I've seen anyone play Native Instruments drum plugins with an e-kit before. I think NA should just stick to synths and pianos - those sound much better!

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  6 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely! also mapping features are much more advanced in Toontrack libraries. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised to find out this actually works quite nicely with studio drummer also, as some producers I know & work with like to use it for production work. Kind regards!

      @@digitaldrumming You actually gave me an idea with this video. I have their ultimate package for the whole library, so I'm going to try to play some of the samples from Battery on my own e-kit, because it has so many presets where random samples don't really sound good on their own, but in context by playing the kit could sound pretty good! Thank you! This probably doesn't have custom midi mapping like Toontrack, so you have to adjust midi notes in the module rather than in the software. Oh well.

      @@LeToplache007 Maybe battery has some mapping options actually, haven’t checked that out yet actually.

    How do you like Studio Drummer compared to EZ Drummer? Debating between both.

    • @digitaldrumming
      @digitaldrumming  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Anil, EZD is much more flexible & has more sounds / samples & better mapping support for e-drums. Studio drummer is nice and comes with NI Komplete (hence I have it), I wouldn’t recommend it as a first „goto“ edrum library though. Kind regards!
