Could you name the songs too please?
once upon a synth Hey! Which MIDI are you using? I wanted to buy a semi weighted or weighted keys one. Let me know!!
One of those pieces you played was on the Hannibal movie at the end.
@@DivyamGaur It looks like a Roland FP-10 stage piano.
Noire and The Gentleman are my favs. Alicias keys sound nice too
The Giant isn't simulating a fake really tall piano. It's sampled from an actual really tall piano. It's sampled from the Klavins Piano Model 370i, a two story tall upright piano. The Una Corda is also a real instrument from the same company, which has one string per note.
Maybe It Wasn't the objective but, your playing helped me chill for a test. Thanks mate!
did you pass the test?
I was impressed by the pieces you play...Wondering you can share what are those classical pieces you play ?
@@YoungBlaze Well, Did you Ace it?!😅
the grandeur sounds absolutely beautiful and natural
And soft. I love it
OK, sir, I have to tell you. This is by far the best "demo some VST" video I've ever seen, especially of piano VSTs. Everyone rapes pianos with contemporary harmonies, blending everything in one big mess. I don't even like classical music that much, but you delivered exactly what a musician needs to hear when deciding on a new VST. All the nuances, all the dynamics, all the individual characters. Kudos. Thank you very much.
I love me a good clear and crisp sounding grand piano. You can always take away from the sound and make it darker, but it's much tricker to put it back in and make it brighter. Noire and Gandeur are definitely my favorites here
Lovely playing. Nice demo. You obviously know your stuff! I have Native Instruments Ultimate Collection but its great to hear it through someone elses fingers and technique. You show how each piano is suited to different styles of playing very well. Brilliant.
What a great presentation! Good to hear the possibilities and sounds - on top... your variety of playing is stunning! Thank you for this video.
i’ve never seen your videos before, but i decided to love you the moment you hit the keys. 🧡 greatly appreciate this video for so many reasons 🙏
Very sweet and chill video bro! Cheers Mr.coatseller!
Great overview! I really enjoyed the time you took with each of the sounds and hearing your commentary as well.
This is the first demo video where the playing really suites the different instruments. Actually matches the graphics. Well done.
Very beautiful playing! Just incredible.
Thanks for your video. Because you play so nice and relaxed - not too many notes, not too impressive- it's easier to just listen to the sound. Well done!
Remember what the old sampled Pianos used to sound like on the Korg Triton and Roland modules?!?! Crazy how far ahead we are now.
Man we are old lmao
I like those though lol
DUUUUUUUUDE. I came for the sounds, stayed for the playing. Thanks man.
Beautiful playing and pianos presentation.:) Thank you.
Wow i love your playing for the gentleman portion! It made me feel like i was in a black and white movie haha
thanks man their are lots of videos like this but most of them i find unhelpful and hard to watch when trying to find options for different piano sounds, you had just the right amount of talking and playing!
Man I love this demo. Thank you so much.
Props to your chops. I've mostly watched your modular stuf until now. It's clear to me how equalizing synth gear is -- one can get great musical results with minimal virtuosity or even music theory training. Watching you tickle the ivories just now shows me that you're coming from a place of many hours of a traditional music practice (maybe everyone already knew that about you? Am I late to the party?). That's definitely something special in my eyes. I'm inspired. Anyhoo... I thoroughly enjoyed watching and hearing you today. Thanks.
thanks i have these and its really great to watch your hands move around and I like how you describe them
nice playing man! thanks for the great demo.
Really nice demo. You rocked this one.
Based off this alone I've subscribed. WOW! Very impressive friend, thank you.
Great demos. Lovely playing.
your touch is GOLD man!
Best video on RUclips showing these. Thanks mate! I have the Grandeur. I think it is great for contemporary.
absolutely beatiful. I wish there was a video of you just playing piano for hours, especially alicia's keys w hall reverb was an out of body experience
The Maverick, Noire, or Grandeur with Raum sound better, in my opinion. That setup instead with a skilled player. Maybe some accompanying pads in the background from Massive X or FM8 would be killer, or a soundscape from Ashlight or Straylight with the pianist playing over it. 😎👍
Bravo, excellent comparison, excellent playing! 👍 Thank you
Didn't know you were such a great pianist! Nice job!
gorgeous playing
I watched for Alicias keys, and looks like you enjoyed it too, as you gave it the most air time 😜
Fantastic playing man. Great review too.
Beautiful playing!!
Fantastic review. That Una Cordia does it for me. I'd kill for a song list, so many of these beautiful songs I don't know
Love the video and your skills man, thanks for sharing :)
Been shopping a piano and I fell in love with Alicia's Keys! Going after it now!
Me too
beautiful demo, thank you man.
Beautifully performed demos!
How can anybody thumbs down this?
This is wonderful - Thank you!! 🙌👐
This must be the most enjoyable instrument review I've ever watched.
Loved your playing!
Wow... 4:35 getting all the nostalgia! I played that exact piece for my grade 3 (I think?) piano exam back when I was about 8 years old! Thanks for that! Haha
Bless you, for this fantastic video.
Beautiful performance! Thank you!:)
You have a lot more classical repetoire than I had ever thought. But your playing is absolutely beautiful!
They all sound very good. Nice playing.
Thank you for doing this!
Fab video...highlights these cool pianos ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You play beautifully, especially on some beautiful pianos.
Great review. Thanks.
Great sounding pianos love that upright
The Giant is a Klavins piano, not a fake one. The Una Corda is also a Klavins.
+1
^
and thats absolutely correct the grandeur is not bad but not good enough for my taste the upright was better
I agree
The piano is klavins m370i
I love the sound of a chord
Just , wow! Awesome
i have the pianos, so came here for the great playing!
Me too
Also have the pianos but running out of drive space, so came here to decide which ones to install... stayed for the great playing! Beautiful technique, man 👌
@@pete3816 I see the things you spotted, but who cares, he plays beautifully.
@@pete3816 Imagine a world where we talk to people on the internet like they're actual human beings while still getting a point across. Hope you have a lovely day.
How come his VST plugins have more resonance out of all of the other youtube samples I heard? Was the audio and the video recorded separately? What mic did he use?
Most versatile . . thank's a LOT ! As an audio-fanatic I sould have liked you to tell about the set in the beginning. Anyway, thanks again for taking 7 in a row
Damn that's some tasteful playing. Thank you.
Beautiful playing brother!
Really enjoyed your video... looking to buy my first piano and also saw your Noire review... It certainly speaks to me as the best one, and as someone who is a 2 finger keyboardist (I play drums, guitar, bass and sing) the particle engine sounds like it was made for my limited talents. Thanks for your efforts... Your playing is beautiful and you are making a difference in my life at least. cheers -peter in Montreal.
Actually The Giant is not a simulated or emulated piano but a real piano. It’s the Model 370i (3.70 meters in height) by David Klavins who also built the Una Corda (one string per note) and just recently the Model 470i (4.70 meters in height).
And what happened to ALL the other pianos by Native Instruments? I could spot at least another 7:
• Berlin Grand (which was dismissed when the Gentleman/Grandeur/Maverick arrived but just recently showed up in the downloads again)
• Kontakt Factory Library:
- Band/Acoustic Pianos/Grand Piano
- Band/Acoustic Pianos/Ragtime Piano
- Band/Acoustic Pianos/Upright Piano
- Orchestral/6 - Keyboard Instruments/August Foerster Grand
- Orchestral/6 - Keyboard Instruments/Concert Grand
• Cuba Library
- 4 - Melodic Instruments/Piano
:-D
Thanks for the info! I was going mainly off of their current acoustic piano list: www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/keys/acoustic-pianos/
how is it a real piano when it's in your computer, it must be super tiny, not giant
www.klavins-pianos.com/about/
That's correct.
Blah Uhm The virtual pianos here are all sampled i.e recorded from real Pianos.
Nice sounds !
best piano plugin demo. period
they are all amazing.
Thanks for doing this!
The Una Corda is really interesting, especially without the added "textures." The Noire probably my favorite of the grand piano styles. More presence and accuracy than any of the others, but no harsh high end.
I heard that, too. The Grandeur and The Maverick have "Deep" presets that sound more impressive like the Noire. The default presets that load when you load each library will not show off each libraries' best, in my opinion.
Very funny interpretation of Glenn Gould at 11:25 also great video!
"Alicia's Keys" reminded me of an extremely good Steinway B. In a studio with acoustically dead walls, so no wall reflections that muddy it. (Each instrument has its own character and depending on preference you may like the one in the showroom, think "meh", or dislike it.)
4 strings per note, in the top octaves, are found in Bösendorfer grand pianos.
Finally bought Komplete this video helped a lot. Noire is the one thing I wanted most but I'm also happy to get Absynth and massive and reaktor. Already had Kontakt.
I love it when you go all Bach on these pianos.
Wow it's so realistic. Vsts have come along way!
Great idea, thanks very much
Good review! My piano pieces in my channel are recorded by those pianos! Thanks for impressing me!
I could watch you play all day.
Forget the sample library review, I'm just here to enjoy the beautiful playing.
Your authentic French and Italian pronunciation of the pianos' names is hilarious (0:10, 0:13)! I love your spontaneous improvisational ideas. If you ask me, The Grandeur is the most intimately beautiful and flexible of them all. That is why I chose that one for "My Fondest Memory" on my channel. Thank you for sharing your exceptional skills with us!
Yes, the grandeur is definitely the best sound out of the first three. Big rich bass and crisp highs. I know he says the Maverick has a darker more mellow tone, but if you want that you can just turn down the tone color of the grandeur halfway and you get the same result, but with the same full sound.
I only have The Gentleman (as it came with my Maschine), but I love the sound of The Grandeur, The Giant and Una Corda.
This is soo cool!!
Software aside, you do some very deft and sensitive playing. Many mysterious or cobblestone streets near the edge of the forest. Nice surprises this afternoon
Very useful comparison. I've been torn between the Maverick and the Grandeur but now I'm even more confused. You play so well that I suspect anything sounds good in your hands. I love what you said at the end about the difference between just listening and playing. It's so true especially for composers and songwriters.
All my recordings these days are with Grandeur. I haven't purchased noire yet....but I might just get that for an album I am working on.
@@esongsore I ultimately decided on Noire. It's an amazing sound and there are two of them, pure and felt. Combined with the particle engine and all the different variables you can adjust, you have many different pianos in one package. Grandeur and Maverick are both beautiful and can be modified as well. With the 50% off sale currently going on, I could also save more on the Noire which is more expensive than the other two.
I liked the brightness to mellow contrast of the high and low velocities on Alicia Keys piano.
Mate how are you so talented? This is good
Love this! Am trying to decide if I should get the Komplete 13 standard suite. Love the Una Corda!
😍😍😍😍 love all pianos
Noire = One piano to rule them all... :o) Thanks for the "shootout".
Wow......
Your piano sound is sooooooo amazing.....
Wow..
💕
You´re a Master!.Thanks.
Fantastic......
Alicia's Keys and The Giant go really well together. Pair the lower keys of The Giant with the higher keys of Alicia's Keys, split 50/50 on one keyboard. Bask in the fullness.
Can you split the keyboard like that on a komplete kontrol s88 mk2?
thanks, i actually needed this video before buy one
Nice playing, liked the Latin stuff you touched on.
Your feelings for the Una Corda really came across in your playing.
Have you seen this video on the physical Una Corda instrument from which the samples were taken?
ruclips.net/video/gfHK7_lSY-0/видео.html
My fav is Alicias Keys, I keep using it! I also like that overall PINK color :D
very nice playing with lot of feeling i like everyone of the different melodies. also the video and sound quality is superb. subscribe just for this excellent video
Very fine impressive Work. Great Video. Thanks from Germany Hamburg Björn
"Una Corda" #Amazing!
Really inspiring presentation set in a sweet space, and superb intuitive playing to suit each of these fine pianos and their own unique offerings. . . Quite a menu to choose from. We are indeed blessed. Many thanks. . .
10:10 such a nice part!
Man Alicias is so good - it’s the one I use
