- I think I over did it with the sound design for this third star destroyer test.
I do not own any rights to the soundtrack. "The Imperial March - John Williams" Кино
something this made me realise about the original trilogy is how we never see the ISD use hyperspace, it's like the Empire is always where it needs to be, making it feel even more all-present. I get that it was simply because they couldn't afford to show every single ship jumping around, but still
You see the Avenger jumping to hyperspace after dumping their space garbage, although the effect is, very... 80's
@@northplayyyer3453 oh right yeah, that one. still, the impression like the Empire has at least two SDs in every known system remains
@@blueshit199 I guess it seems so, most systems would probably have like one arquitens and maybe some gozanti cruisers with a few TIE's. They only had around 25000 star destroyers and many fleets with multiple like death squadron and the seventh fleet. But most systems dont need a star destroyer.
@@northplayyyer3453 The Empire consisted of 1024 sectors. This means there were in theory 24 ISDs for each sector plus surplus. However, important sectors (especially core world ones) like Coruscant, Kuat or Corellia had more ISDs than unimportant ones. Furthermore, considering that each sector consisted of thousands of inhabited systems, this means that the vast majority of systems didn't have a single ISD. Also, there were mobile fleets like Death Squadron that operated independently from sectors that also got a large portion of the ISD pool. Then there were also Imperial Customs and the ISB who got their share of ISDs as well, although Imperial Customs relied more on small and fast light cruisers. The average Imperial system had something like a Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser or even just a Carrack-class as their flagship. More important ones got maybe an Arquitens and pretty important ones got a Victory-class Star Destroyer. Outside the Inner Rim, only sector capitals, planets at important hyperspace crossroads or important Imperial bases actually got ISDs.

the sound design is actually amazing, the way the engines drown out the music is super cool. the lighting on the ISD is also very nicely done, looks just like in Rogue One. The only criticism that I have, and that others also pointed out is when the camera position when the ISD exists hyperspace and enters the frame. The camera could then pan down from a full view of the ship, down to it's hangars to see the TIEs exiting the hangar. Other than this, it's a clear 10/10!
Just seeing just one of those pop up in the sky was probably an unnerving experience to say the least for the population of a planet. Seeing four would send a planet out in the boonies into full panic.
0:11 The only downside of this that the ISD should be in full view upon existing hyperspace
Then the cameran pans down to the lower part where the TIEs are launch
Besides that this is one of the best blenders i saw here on yt. Nice work
Agreed, that’s my only critique. And it’s so small I didn’t even notice until I read your comment and rewatched it. This looks amazing
Maybe it could be framed to fill the space to the left after the jump? I think it might look weird for the frame to move down to put the hangar in the focus. And block the end of the hyperspace scene to be more to the left?
Totally agree, in the most constructive criticism way.
I mean I couldn't do better.
Hello
The third Star Destroyer to pop out of hyperspace (the second of the two that arrived around 0:39 to back up the first one) is rolled a little to port, relative to the first Star Destroyer. I bet the fleet commander wouldn't like that. Some might say there is no up or down in space, but the Empire sure loves their parade ground synchronization.
The 3rd ship has hyperdrift installed instead of hyperdrive
*eurobeat bgm starts blasting from the 3rd ship*
Technically speaking there is up and down in space. We just haven't really explored those aspects of it that much. I'm honestly kind of curious as to what we'd find if we did explore up and down in space.
Imagine the nastygram their CO must've gotten from Rear Admiral, Star Destroyers!
Love that you can hear an announcer at the beginning counting down until they exit hyperspace
That is from the Apollo moon launches in the 1960s lol. Nice little bit of history added to this clip.
0:38 The *Boom* with the song is just perfect
I love this! Keep up the good work

Beautiful work! Looks like it's straight out of a movie!
I don't care that sound physically cannot travel in space, the booming sound of a large ship exiting hyperspace will never not be an orgasmic experience
This is actually so incredible! Fit so well in what I'm thinking to write about Star Wars lol
Damn, has a big fan of the Imperial Star Destroyer, I really enjoyed this video, keep going ! It's a very good job !
Really impressive work!!
The music fading to the sound of the engines was really nice
This is insane! Amazing job!
I love the idea of a star destroyer coming out of hyper space, and starts blaring the danger-alarm-horns instantly. Like "Holy shit, who hit the red button"-ish
Excellent work Commander Coastlake
The lighting is on point!
This is excellent work
Definitely the best amateur rendition of this! Looks very good
Keep it up! Would love to see more Star Destroyer :) The might of the Empire
Arguably the best Blender VFX on Star Wars Star Destroyers so far
Did I just hear the Apollo 11 countdown?
Could be 😁
Oh dude, great money shot of them all coming out of hyperspace at the end
Great work here!
Loved the final shot, although it was probably the easiest to make
Also the animation for the tie fighters leaving the hangar looks just amazing
Beautiful
I would love to see a longer video of the Imperial Fleet arriving out of hyperspace with the Imperial March music in the background. I absolutely loved the video, it would have been even better if it was a little longer and with even more ISDs exiting hyperspace, followed by SSD like Executor, the personal flagship of Darth Vader.
Crazy what you can do with blender. I played around with it for a bit when I was younger but didn’t even know it could be possible to make something this scale
Hello there, General. I'm glad to see my fleet has arrived, long live the Empire .
Such an iconic shape
Nice work
Beautiful.
looks amazing! Just wish the camera man would’ve gotten a full shot of the Star Destroyer at the end
looks great, one thing i would add is make the speed the ship comes out of hyperspace to a dead stop much faster, remember its going form lightspeed to very much below that
It feels like any animation involved with star wars will always have amazing lighting
You sir have earned a sup
this is great
Great job, i have almost no words...
The last ship (praetor?) exits hyperspace just a little bit late to sync with music
Underrated
Awesome!
Amazing❤
Pretty good, i would recommend that it pans when the TIE FIGHTERS drop out, but other than that, its good
Hate their ideals, LOVE their hardware. A+ mate
Nothing hits like the light grey steel star destroyers with the slight yellow tint reminiscent of 90s desktop PC chassis plastic as though sunlight and exposure had wore on the miniature models in front of the blue screen.
that empire klaxon is like music
Damned rebels. That's the 501st time they've intercepted my ice cream ships.
Awesome
This is absolutely fantastic. How do you produce these? I might want to make some of my own
Tunnel 5/10, the rest is awesome. Sound is great. Especially ISD engines. :) 0:36 looks very realistic.
That was fuckin' badass
OMG
Please do an eye of sion and chimaera junping in and out of intergalactic hyperspace
0:35 looks amazing
Not ignoring the great animation & lighting. Im just wondering how you made the planet? Or if it's an asset from a web site?
0:11 The angle of the camera somewhat ruins the shot of it coming from hyperspace. It only needs to face the hangar when it passes by.
Thanks for the tip.
I'm just still learning as a beginner.
Hey, this is great! I was wondering if I could use this clip for a star wars fan film I am going to be making in the next few months? I will not be making any money of this, as the project would be a star wars fan film. I would make sure to give you full credit for this clip and link you in the description! Please let me know as soon as you can. Again this looks amazing!
Must be Admiral Ozzle on the bridge of the first ship. He always comes out of hyperspace too early.
*the backup ISD's hyperspace in* "Yeeeeees!!!" -me
Dope
Cool.
Now that I think about it I haven't seen a ISD in hyperspace before
where'd you get the ship model?
This is very good work. Is it possible to hire you for your services? I'm creating a Star Wars fan film, and I need a VFX scene like this
how do you make the hyperspace jump sound, that's so cool, I find some audio files in SW battlefront, but they are not nearly as good as yours
Nice work.
Whose Star Destroyer model is that?
Is it available anywhere?
Its really good only 2 downsides are that hyperspace is a bit tooo bright and maybe making the ship itself be a bit darker as it travels (this is an inconsistency that star wars changes a lot sometimes ships are illuminated by hyperspace but sometimes they aren't maybe a middle ground would work?)
Me when no sound in space
This is awesome!!!! Do you do freelance work?
Amazing! How long did this take?
I worked on it over the span of two weeks. (approx. 1-5hr each day)
Luckily I didn't had to model the Star Destroyer and TIE-Fighters
That Hyperspace exit looks almost like a warp drive effect from Star Trek.
Hey listen I’m just saying if a 5 kilometre long flying Dorito just randomly appeared in space I’d shit my pants too
how and where did you get the sound for the ship dropping put of hyperspace from? I'm really curious
I build it out of several sfx. But the one that you mean (i guess), is from audiio.com
Every one who owns a imperial iSD in lego: resistance is futile rebel, surrender or be destroyed
I wonder what the name of the last ship is which jumps in. Is it an Imperial II-Class Frigate?
Executor-class Star Destroyer
@@Coastlake Ouh it is a Super Star Destroyer. The perspective gave me the impression that this ship is smaller than a regular ISD.
How can I learn this power?
Wait how did you do this? What kind of editing tools did you use??
Is that the Apollo 11 countdown? :))
0:18 the camera movement is a little… odd
0:36 i suggest syncing the hyperspace exits to the music for *s a t i s f a c t i o n*
but still, it’s really good work considering i barely know how to animate
At the end is that an SSD in the top right?
"But it was so artistically done."
was that an acclamator
Overall good render. Something just doesn't look quite right, maybe its the lighting mixing but its most likely the scale of everything. The scale seems like its filming miniatures
What your model?
The last one coming out didn’t look like a star destroyer. A Secutor maybe?
Looks lit, but how dose @jervisjavier mentioned the Star Destroyer should be in full view by exiting. But in my opinion instead of a camera pan I'd rather use a simple cut. It would bring a bit more dymanic like all cuts. The last scene with the other ships entering is sweet. Non then less, a pretty well done work I must admite.
why did i here the saturn V liftoff line
👏👏👏👏👏
At the end, the last one to arrive, I can't remember its name but we'll done 😊
I love this however I feel like the camera angle @0:11 needs to be up a bit more
Me dieron ganas de jugar Star Wars Empire At War XD
oh the glorious empire, bro do you have a site that people can commission you for animation like this?
nope
@@Coastlake do you take commissions?
Long live the Empire.
I seriously can't think of any SF Spaceship that is more iconic than this, although I much prefer TIE-Fighter game style of hyperspace exiting sequence
Long live The Empire.
👍
The four smaller thrusters are the hyperdrive engines, and should not be in use once out of hyperspace.
Wow, los que hicieron esto tienen mucho talento. Por qué nunca vimos una escena como esta en ninguna de las películas de Star wars?
"I am fluent in over six million forms of communication." - But sadly I don't understand this language
@@Coastlakewow, those who did this are very talented, why have we never seen a scene like this in any Star Wars movie? ( this is the spanish translation)
I thought there's no sound in space
