Squadrons was amazing visually and gameplay wise. It just never had enough content and they abandoned the game so quickly. it really could've been something special
So, what, they dropped Battlefront 2 (2017) for this, and then fucked off?
@@thefiresworddragon927 basically. They added a grand total of 1 map, 2 ships, some cosmetic items and a custom match maker and server browser. They updated the game for about 5 months with most being just bug fixes and balancing updates before leaving it forever. No new game modes other than the original 2 and the story, no more new maps, no more new ships, no new anything.
@@thefiresworddragon927Not really. This was a niche game made for specific fans (and it did rather well in that regard). BF2s team was redirected to a battlefield game.

Yeah. It’s a real shame. They really could have done something with this or make at least one new Battlefront 2 space map.
Just a shame all around. Still love it though.

I wish the MC-80 could’ve been a more prominent capitol ship. It’s just we’ve seen more of those in Return of the Jedi movie than the MC-75 in Rogue One. I guess it’s because the MC-80 doesn’t have any obvious weak points.
okay, i like the rebels and their x wings and y wings and stuff as much as the next guy, but damn, that Vader and ending imperial cutscene went hard.

Never liked the story for this game...Alderaan was always given another planet to occupy even by the Emperor because even he knew that Tarkin made a high ranking decision without his approval...At least in legends. When can we have a game where the Imperial stay Imperial.
I think its just the general Theme. Empire = Bad Guys, Rebellion = Good Guys.
I personally think a Game where you play an Imperial would be awesome. For Example the Beginning of BF2 it would be so awesome.

I still hate it that the devs didn't have the balls to grant the Empire even the slightest victory. No. We can't even kill that damn Traitor from the Prologue Mission. Ridiculous!

Can’t believe they abandoned this game so soon. So much more stuff they could have added. Ships missions maps and they just said fuck it. 🙄 triple A developers need to go so that the indie developers can get that money because triple A games have been garbage for years releasing half baked shit and relying on modders to fix them.

Honestly if the main multiplayer game mode had like 20vs20 and thrice as many capital ships, this game could have been peak.

These cut scenes and from what ive heard the game were really very good. I like the fact they did both sides of the conflict and not just the Rebel side. Although it was spoilt by the force being VERY female. I miss the days of the EU and pre Disney when it was done organically and not because they hate white men

@ Not in the campaign but when nearly every Disney Star Wars film and game is lead by a woman and the CEO of Lucas film comes out with slogans like 'The force is female', it IS forced. There is no getting round it. Rogue One, Outlaws, Bad Batch, the sequal trilogy, Acolyte, Ahsoka and more in the writen media have all been led by female roles. Look at Rogue Sqn. Its female sqd leaders, admirals and ace pilotes. There is ONE truly important male character, the rest are nearly exclusively female or aliens. Im sorry you dont see it but Star Wars is sexist.
(and before you argue the first 6movies didnt have any female characters. Shmi, Padme and Leia are literially the most important characters in the franchise (and Luke and Anakin of course). without them nothing else would have happened)

Disney often forgets that Palpatine was a racist, sexist and xenophobic and misogynistic emperor. He did not like other alien races and he did not like minorities seeing imperial ranks with minorities and women does not make sense.

It's such a bad idea to give TIE pilots a moral crisis to wrestle with. While I normally applaud depth of character it makes it difficult to be happy when a TIE gets shot down if the pilot could be a decent person.

I feel like Squadrons handled it better than mosts. At least they weren’t shoveling the diversity down our throats.
Imperial women have been a part of the lore since before the prequels even came out, what are you yapping about?
I wouldn't consider this to be diversity, as the Empire has always been human-o-centric, Thrawn being a major exception, and humans come in many racial sub-divisions.
The anti-government terrorists are the ones with all the non-human diversity and inclusion.
