Thank you, i have some max peeding rods, while i love the stance of my 98 crv now it rode rough as hell, now i know what to do, thank u
Did you buy the adjustable dampers kind? I would suggest going back and checking to make sure all the bolts are tight and the preload on the springs is set correctly. Also the top lock nut for the strut above the bushings (19mm), make sure it’s tighten as well on all 4 of them
I have the adjustable dampening kind and have it set to the firmest setting and it rides great
@@MooreProjects no, unfortunately i didnt, i have to do something, i have a whole new suspension front and back and my back toe in looks like the tires want to go horizontal
@@MooreProjects like i said, i love the stance but if i cant figure out the ride harshness soon my wife is gonna make me go back to stock, i mean the back feels like there is no shocks at all
@@MooreProjects i think pre load is my problem, I'm going to go out and check all four wheels in a bit, a shop installed them for me and i think they were high, more that one part was put back on backwards or upside down
My car front end looked too high for me so i lowered the Preload with coilovers already installed to lower the car. Now the ride is too bouncy but i like the look. Am i messing up my coilovers? Is there a way to help with the bounce?
Dang I went and checked it out and they have mustang parts! And an intercooler pump that goes on my car for 1/3 the price. Now I dont need one right now but ya never know!
Exactly! They have more stuff than I realized on their website
We just bought a vehicle with these coil overs on the car, when we turn the dial to adjust the stiffness, the dial just keeps turning, how do we know if the setting will be the same from left to right if there is no stop. It should have a 24 point setting, but i can turn the dial for hours without it stopping if i wanted to
There should be a stopping point in them in both directions. If not sounds like someone might have over adjusted them already. Not sure if they are fixable or not at that point
@@MooreProjects great… these don’t sound the best on the road either. Spring noise while turning at slow speeds and bad knocking noises. Might have to pull them out and strip em down
@@deniskrnic6101 they might not be set correctly then. I would readjust the spring preload so there is no slop in the spring and see if that helps
@@MooreProjects will do. See how it goes. No idea on how old these are, but I’ll see what magic I can weave
@@deniskrnic6101 good luck
Can we adjust preload after installing them on car. I have already installed them
Yes you can so don’t be worried. Raise the car and remove the wheels and then adjust the top collar to add preload to the spring. Then adjust it up 10mm higher to set preload and lock it down using the middle collar
I try doing that but the thread keeps spinning with it
How do I make the ride higher than stock suspension? Or are these coilovers just for lowering ride?
These are just for lowering. I know TruHart makes a set of lifted coilovers and upper control arms for the CRVs
You can also add a lift spacer that bolts to the top of your factory strut upper mounts to raise up your car. It’s a budget friendly option. But you also need to do a subframe drop to keep all your drivetrain in line so it doesn’t bind or break anything
@@MooreProjects even though my CRV is only front wheel drive? There is no driveshaft to the rear.
@@joeljoy4144you would atleast need to buy the kit to drop the front end subframe
And don’t forget to not touch your preload u less you k ow what your doing and know how to properly adjust it cause you will mess up the comfortability of your ride if you don’t know what your doing
How have been holding ?
No issues. Still rocking them. I’ve played around with the dampen settings some recently and still works like it’s supposed to
Ok ima order them now
@@user-hu7nc1sq6k do it. I’ve been happy with them. They don’t go as low as other coilovers in the front. But still lowered and looks better than stock height
They came quick they here already
And really all you did by adjusting the preload is making it more of a stiffer ride/more uncomfortable 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Depending on the intended use of the vehicle, that may be a preferable characteristic of the suspension
