Fixing the MAJOR Problem with Maxpeedingrod Coilovers / CRV RD1 Shock Top Hat Extensions

In this Mod My Crv video today we are going to fix one of the major flaws with cheap coilovers, Maxpeedingrods . Basically these units don't drop the car enough and using some ebay extended top hats you can get the car alittle more low. Provides Increased Shock Travel & Prolongs Shock Life By Preventing Lowered Vehicles From Bottoming Out

Top hat replacements make a huge difference. CRV is much lowered and looks good on 17". 18" will fill the gaps but I'll stay with 17".

Its the yellow ones from maxspeedingrods i had them send me new springs and threaded shock part. Gonna put it on tomorrow so I can lower the front.

Tophats are great for any lowered car. No strut will tolerate bottoming out often.
You're better off with bilstiens, smaller springs and tophats imho. MaxPeeDing spring rates and valving kinda suck.

YONAKA coilovers drop 4 INCHES, they also lift 3 inches. NO problem with shock travel.
Also, 18 inch wheels.🤗

It looks like you went back to a stock upper control arm. Do you have any issues with camber at the front?
