Pretty sure I've seen this tut before, but it only came in handy tonight, when I merged together a cave tunnel and the mountainside from which I want the tunnel to emerge. Thanks Kai!
Click the middle mouse button, don't scroll it.
After you finish this tutorial I recommend remeshingi it in the sculpting area to not have to many vertices

This was sort of helpful. What if I want to combine the days worth of work that I've done, and don't want to destroy the details? The two spheres became a capsule, and the monkeys got destroyed. I have the model the way that I want. I just need to combine the pieces, smooth the seam where they meet, and then send it to my 3D printer.

I'm very new and ended up building an entire model out of overlapped shapes, I've followed your Boolean method closely but when I try to delete the unneeded object that's clipping, it deletes that entire section as if it were separate and not merged at all.

I think if you go to the sculpting tag and then the remesh tab you can mess around with the values to make it more smooth after adding the subdivision surface

I did this, but it just erases one of the objects. And yes, I made sure it is set on "union". But Blender doesn't care and deletes the other object anyway.

You had two shapes, Balls with edges and do not get me wrong, the video helped me a lot, I subscribed, but in the end you have something what looks like one shape. You made it worse with every modifier, I mean for what kind of stuff except random blocks I could use something what completely messes up my shape?!

if I have about 60 objects I want to combine, how do I do it?
My guess would be to combine 2 objects using the boolean, then those 2 would be 1 object, then select another object - use boolean to combine, and repeat the process.
I think there’s a collection option- but my laptop crashed trying so 😀

is there a way to make two different objects one file, without physically joining them together
When you say one file, do you mean 2 objects from different files... but just not joined? Or do you mean 2 objects in the same file... but just not joined? If the same file, select both objects by holding shift and hit Ctrl P to parent the objects. If a different file, you'd have to import the obj... then do that :)
Do you know how to do this WITHOUT merging both shapes into one?
I noticed alot of pro sculptors will fake merge objects then hide one mesh to sculpt around the second mesh then merge these two meshes together into a single mesh.Is this a good workflow?
Depends. Are you making a rig? Or are you just sculpting a static mesh? If sculpting, yes - very simple and probably the best option. But if you're making a rig... it's best to keep all the part separate :)

I tried to merge my character's arm to her body, my pc just dies.
for some reason the boolean modifier keeps rotating one of the objects to the same orientation as the other object
i was connecting the head and the neck then the neck disappeared and the head got this creepy texture

Hey man why is it that when I do this with many objects at once to make a scale mesh then some of the scales get deleted?
How to fix objects goih through each other during animation like the both mesh just cross each other, I have my character model and gun, I have made a animation of my character reloading the gun but during one of the frames the animation is supposed to like collide, like the gun's back part is supposed to support of the character's should but it's going through my character's shoulder instead
Z brush remesh also works. Blender to Z brush
If it does, then cool! But, Z brush isn't free though :/
hi , I conerted an svg. file to a curve then I extruded it to make it 3d. then converted to mesh. then when I tried to join with another mesh with Boolean union , it doesn't work. wtf . any tips.
