Damn. If this was in my feed 6 hours ago, i would have 6 hours more time to make progress today. Thanks for the save though, woulda been up all night otherwise
this works really well, also if youre fairly early in the sculpt you can also hold R, set your voxel size to something reasonable small, then release, then ctrl + R to apply it and that also gets rid of the overlapping stuff.
here I am again...WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING ALL THIS TIIIIIME!!!! Broooooo, you just taught me something that no one has been able to teach me before!!!! Woooooow I am sooooo grateful!!!!...Thanks man, thaaaaaaanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY!!! It's beautiful, it's incredible!!! Thanks!!!
I feel like I just levelled up tenfold as a sculptor in Blender with this. It's so obvious but with the layout of Blender's sculpt tools, the functionality often feels worlds apart from the modelling side of things, thanks for the tip
Wait you're telling me you're giving that stuff for free? plus this tutorial really is quite helpful. Man I dunno if anybody has told you this before but you are a LEGEND, you're doing good work on this platform keep it up!
Thank you so much! I'm still new to Blender and ran into this problem a while ago, but couldn't find a solution for it... Your tutorial really helped me out :)
Thanks so much! This was very helpful. And I'm just gonna leave this here for anyone who encounters my problem: A few times for some reason the non-manifold option wouldn't work. So instead I used the 'linked' thing. I clicked on the wireframe in edit mode (you can click anywhere) and if you hit 'L' it shows all the vertices that are linked together. I noticed there was a part that wasn't connected with the rest of the sculpt so I hit ctr+i to invert it and then I deleted the disconnected part. That worked for me!
I usually use "ctrl + " or "ctrl - " for boolean, which is more convenient. You just need to enable the "bool tool" addon, and there will be no extra topology inside the mesh.
@@mibrahim4245 "it's the same he did"... not really, and on top of it, it takes way less time. When you 3D model 8 hours a day and are paid for it, it's all about efficiency. The method displayed here : is not.
Just an update! i tried this just now and it turns out, if you have the latest updated version of blender, it already removes the vertices for you when you combine the objects so it blends seamlessly !! this tutorial was amazing! EDIT THO: the line is still visible when you're sculpting over it, i dont know how to fix that but if you can make an updated tutorial that would be great!
I've been tracing over the remaining "seam" lightly with a draw brush in Dyntopo mode at a similar resolution to the existing mesh, and then smoothing with dyno off. It's not perfect, but it improves on the topology the boolean leaves behind.
Remeshing alters your mesh. As long as your mesh is as rough as in the example that would work too. But if you have a lot of detail work done already you might lose it unless you remesh in an obscene high density.
Thank you ! Here far far away is another one who's day has been saved and one spot kept empty in the home for the mentally ill... Best of luck in your future Blenderism !
Dude I was wondering why trying to join 2 spheres looked horrible and sculpting wasn't smoothing out the seam. You just made me start back an old project
Omg finally I found a video that might help me with my sculpt. My lines are more smooth but I tried doing a simple join and it was distorting the shape of my smaller object (I'm working on stylized hair) and the strand I want to connect kept becoming distorted to the main hair head piece. Hope this works for me
This probably just saved me 8 hours of work on my current project alone. Words can't describe how grateful I am, thank you.
same here KKKKK thanks!!!!
Meltdown successfully avoided. You sir, are a LEGEND!

So happy I could help :)
Well, this just saved me 20+ hours of work on a massive tree I made... thank you!!
4 years later, still goated, thanks man.
Thanks for showing how to keep the model clean on the inside because this makes it far easier to 3d print a sculpt now.
love it man. Dont know why other tutorials arent like this
This is awesome. I'm totally new to sculpting and I have been struggling with this. Thank you soo much! I bow to you sir!
This is by far the most helpful video I have seen in a while
God bless. I was ready to just start my project from scratch and make it single mesh. You saved a lot of my time and my sanity.
thank you for showing how to fix that issue with boolean, really helped me out!!!
Simple and straight to the point. Thanks for the help!
that fix was super useful for me!! thank you so much for including it in the video
thankyou, very clear and helpful!
This was helpful. Your economy with works made is easy to listen and recall, so thanks!
Please make more, you're good at it.
Sweet tutorial, simple and super easy to follow. Cheers!

I had so much difficulty finding a simple tutorial on this one (I'm the 4k like apparently haha). Thanks!
Short and straight to the point. Nice video
I immediately subscribed, thanks for the genuine tutorial, really helpful.

thank you so much the algorithm brought me to you and now my sculpting to 3d printing process is so much easier :)
Thank you so much! I'm still new to Blender and ran into this problem a while ago, but couldn't find a solution for it... Your tutorial really helped me out :)
Great you solved one headache for me, thanks
Thank you soooo much other videos I’ve watched haven’t helped
Straight to the point. Thanks for this!
Great vid. No bs, straight to the point. Plus fixes on issues from doing this.
This video may be a bit old, but still very helpful! Thank you
Holy moly...I will try that right now...let's see...

Thank you mate I really needed this tip 🙏
Glad it helped!

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks a bunch !
thank u so much i might need this for later on im working on a horror game atm and i need to sculpting my creature this would help out thanks dude
thank you so much, i have seen many people merge meshes while sculpting.
ugh super helpful tutorial, man. just what i needed :) thanks dude
Woow thanks for that one, that was really helpful!

it's the same as what he did, it's just a shortcut for union and difference ...
@@mibrahim4245In any case, I don't have any unnecessary topology inside the mesh.

Thats a really good sculpt

This helped me so much. Thank you! New sub for sure.
You sir, are a legend.
Thanks for the tips man! i just started learning blender and this really helped saved me alot of time!
FANTASTIC!!!!! So useful! Thank you for your help.
Thanks! Neat and simple tutorial!

So is it normal that the attached piece disappears when I switch to edit mode?
@@zakariamebrahtu1474 I think that you didn't hit the apply button before going to edit mode had the same issue I just forgot to do it beforehand
@@zerro3172 omg yes thank you I forget to hit apply all the time... Forgot how to get a damn sphere but forgot to apply the modifier on the cube 🤦🏾

Why don't you simply join the two objects and add a remesh modifier in voxel method ?
Remeshing alters your mesh. As long as your mesh is as rough as in the example that would work too. But if you have a lot of detail work done already you might lose it unless you remesh in an obscene high density.
Thank u! i was struggling
love your tutorial!
great video
This looks so much cleaner than remeshing... I'm going to have to redo all my sculpts 😳
Hey, why isn't the manifold option appearing?
Nvm i got it, i was in face selection. thx
Thank you wizard man.
Thank ❤
I don't get it. Why don't you use Bool Tool addon? You can activate it natively in Blender.
Very helpful, thank you!
Thank you!!!
Omg. You survived me so much. Thx
easy sub, thanks very much
Daaaaamn, thank yoou!!!!!

yes

I did what you did but I didn't see a yellow line in non manifold
