R.I.P DMX! We lost a legend today. He will be missed
I never thought Jay got washed on that renegades song, Em is just a more animated in his delivery while Jay stay with a chill tone, both those verses are superbly written repping where each of them came from.
Kanye was also a feature on the Blueprint album. He did the hook on ‘Never Change’
Kanye didn't lie. He's definitely surpassed JD. Shouts to JD...
I've been rewatching "The Wire" recently and it's crazy how many characters wear Rocawear in it.
That r.kelly and jayz not guilty aged liked milk 😂😂😂
I have to go with Jay Z Takeover vs Nas Ether. I verse vs 3 verses that all I have to say. I felt Jay should of did 3 verses dissing Nas, who at that time and still is That dude. That one verse, Jay Z senxt warning shots. Jay got cocky because it was soooo hard. I’m from Brooklyn and I lived in Bmore at that time and everyone felt sorry for Nas because he was that not in your face, like he didn’t mind if the lights wasn’t on him. Jay was on the number 1 charts for a while so people was tired/hating on Jay Z. Kind of how Lebron James felt after winning his last chip. People felt sorry for Nas because of Jay Z cocky bully style. So to me people sided for Nas, and Nas mom’s died that year so people was really rolling with Nas. But I, I was rocking with both because this is hip hop. Jay was and is my CHAMP, from day 1 Reasonable Doubt. I’m not saying that ether wasn’t hot, it was, but it took 3 verses.....❤️🔥
Beanie Mack was A Problem 💯💯💯
Respectfully DMX won the battle with Jay Z When I heard DMX say I put a 🔪 Through your windpipe It was over for me Rest in paradise DMX
When Camron auditioned for the role he pulled out a real gun 😂
For you not to be born during this time and research all of this is commendable. I’m sure that it takes hard work to research all of this. I was in high school during this time and this documentary is giving me nostalgia, just remembering the actual impact roc a fella had on everyone at the time was amazing. And all of the rap beef at the time was everything.
Ether is in the top 3 diss songs of all time. Hands down!
That was the peak, around then most artists on the label were dropping solo albums. I’m from Philly so I remember clearly the impact state property had here, those were dipsets best days. I’m just enjoying somebody taking the time to put this together. I salute you bro, keep rising!
That Dynasty intro is the GOAT
First off RIP 🪦 DMX.....Thank you for the less ads you actually listened really love theses series 💚🇬🇧
Thank you king!! I’ll be tuning in. I used to follow the whole rocafella movement like a movie from 1998-2005
In Part 3 what do you guys want me to talk about from 2003-2004?
fave roc-a-fella album is definitely the blueprint. it's an all time classic. untouchable.
Whoa, you wasn’t born around when all this was going down? Young man your investigative skills are nothing to play with. Kudos fella! I learn quite a few things and I’m only half way through the 2nd part.
THIS WAS THE BEST TIME IN HIP HOP I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL BACK THEN THE PUNCH LINES WAS HEAVY AND HARD
