      Greatest battle ever! And it was manufactured Becuase “Gay Z” didn’t want any part of anyone other than Nas, who was out of his league but the platform fan base and strategy was genius at the height of the drama so he got his General, his capo, his right hand and second in command, actually rocafella’s best artist to go after one of the greatest in al quads jada! This battle was like the undercard for the Jay/Nas battle. Unfortunately this got somewhat overshadowed. Jada was going at Jay on mixtapes because Jay was jumping on all the remixes of Jada's features stealing his shine. But I think at that point Jay put Beans up to going at Jada. Because Hov had his sights set on Nas and Prodigy. Its no way in hell Jay could try to handle Jadakiss too. So like you said, Beans used it as an opportunity to earn his stripes. And that Hot 97 freestyle session on Flex with state property is legendary!

    This was a good video, but some context was left out probably because your younger than the beef or wasn’t focusing. Jay-Z was positioning himself to be at the top and was feeling pressure from all the hard spitters in rap/NYC like Nas, Prodigy, and Jadakiss. He started doing things behind the scenes as was said at the end of the video to stop people’s bags and gain higher superiority. Then he sent Bennie Siegel to fight his battle for him to gain higher position in the rap game. Jay-Z was really smart.

    This beef Been brewing since 96 when jayz mase and kiss used to rhyme with big, and big called all of them nice, but when big died it was a all out war for the king of ny the lox teamed up with mase, jayz didn't like that at all so he started dissing mase and mase made a few disses back then dissapeared, so jayz did a song called reservoir dogs with the lox and styles dissed jayz on his whole verse, then styles dissed him again on a song called blackout, so jayz took a beat made for kiss by swizz and threw shots at kiss called jigga my nigga, so the lox spit a few verses over the same remixed beat, then jayz remixed mya and kiss song and took him off the r. Kelly song and made a video, then jayz formed a team, bleek and nas was going at it, and jayz kept throwing shots at kiss on put your hands up, then styles and kiss did a fiesta remix going at jayz, jayz then did takeover he then told bleek to step back and told beans and state property to get the lox out the game while he get nas and mobb deep out the game so it'll just be them but the plan totally backfired as to where the nas ethered jayz Cassidy humiliated freeway in a freestyle battle and beans fell off the map.

    • @cloutcancun
      @cloutcancun  3 года назад +3

      I cleared up this in a comment somewhere in this section but yes that's why I referenced Fiesta at the end because Beanie talked about it in an interview with DJ Vlad. We all know Jay-Z is the king of Subliminals but all I said was the record un-huhn! is the general consensus from the multiple articles that I read is when people really started to notice the beef between Jada and Beanie because names were starting to get dropped and un-huhn! just so happened to be on Jadakiss' debut album which garnered a lot of attention. I thought most people from that era already knew that about fiesta so I cut it from the script just like I cut my Jada/Jay-Z portion of the script (basically 7 minutes long) because I felt like I was going too far from the point and also in the song un-huhn! Jada was going at Jay-Z as well but I didn't want to delve too deep into that because I wanted to focus on Beanie Vs Jadakiss. I could have easily gone into the Beanie/Styles P situation because Styles was coming at them crazy and had a very crazy disrespectful rap aimed at Beanie but I didn't want to focus on that.

    It was Styles P not Jadakiss that said he was outside one day right at the hit factory waiting for Beans with something crazy and that he was still riding around bumping their music. Styles P says it at the end of his Wait A Minute freestyle and also here ruclips.net/video/ymT2bQstQzc/видео.html at the 0:05 & 5:13 mark
    The beef also started from Jay-Z doing remixes to songs Jadakiss was already featured on. First on Mýa's Best of Me Part 2, then on R. Kelly's Fiesta Remix and Jay-Z even has a line on the song that seemed to be directed at Jadakiss. A writer for The Source magazine quoted Jadakiss where he allegedly claimed that Philly rappers had bitten his style of rhyme. In an interview with Allhiphop.com, Jadakiss said, “That was the writer twisting the shit around. That was some real bullshit. I’m catching some real flack of that! I would never say nothing about Philly because that’s where I sell most of my records at.” However, after reading the Source story and also hearing of the comments, Beanie Sigel took the diss personally claiming to be the only person Jadakiss could be referring to. Jadakiss had also took offense to a line Beanie Sigel said about a car that Jadakiss had, on the song Beanie (Mack Bitch), Beanie Sigel did say that the line wasn't about Jadakiss but tensions were so high that one could see how he felt that way. On October 30 2001 Jermaine Dupri released his 2nd album Instructions and both Jadakiss and Freeway are featured on the song Hate Blood even tho they were beefing at the time
    Here's some other tracks that they dissed or had subliminally lines thrown at each other on. Jadakiss has said that Styles P dissed Jay-Z on his own song Reservoir Dogs, which was before the beef started. Some have said Jay-Z's line "Sensitive thugs, yall all need hugs" on Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love) was directed at The Lox as Jadakiss would reference this in his diss to Beanie Sigel

    Completely missed the whole reason the beef started. You had to be outside when this was going on to know how it really started. Beans went at Kiss for Jay-Z because Jay was sneak dissing Kiss on all the remixes he jumped while Jada was on the original. Subliminals we’re thrown on both sides before Jay had Beans go at him. That was one of the best times in rap. We got so much great material from it. I was there at powerhouse when Jada did his verse and Beans ran on stage and did his during Diddy set because Puff wasn’t messing with the LOX at the time.

    • @steve-ie6ju
      @steve-ie6ju 3 года назад

      @@rsmall32 Nah that was for a different reason why Styles P dissed Jay-Z on Reservoir Dogs as everyone found out when Jadakiss said it during his interview with Genius. Styles P dissed Jay-Z on that song because he was mad that Jay-Z made them come to the studio right away after they just left the airport and they had no time to even put their luggage away and that Jay-Z would not have done the same if it was them who wanted a verse
      Also what freestyles did Jay-Z do subliminally dissing them? some think he subliminally dissed them & Jadakiss on the song Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up) and on Fiesta Remix with the line "After the original it's probably this" as well as on Takeover at the end with the line "And all you other cats throwin' shots at Jigga. this was a great video but you missed out on the most important part. this’ll be a long message but it’s how it went in those days. originally it was jay that jada had a problem with. when jada was first on ruff ryders two weird occurrences happened. jada did a song with mya and jay z jumped on the remix, ok that happened. then jada did a song with r kelly and jay z jumped on that remix. what set the lox off was how jay started his verse on that song. jada knowing jay for the coward he is thought jay was sneak dissing so subliminally jada began dissing jay. beanie said in multiple interviews over the years how scared jay was so jay sent beanie after kiss while jay apologized to jada about never having any beef( that’s why nas said “pop ish and apologize just ask kiss & why jada said don’t try to apologize on your 2way). beanie only had problems with jada because jay z wasn’t man enough for that battle and if you jay z stans doubt this, beanie admitted this himself

      In my video, I actually brought up this point but I opted to cut that part out. I mentioned in this video how Beanie said that Jada was originally on the Fiesta record but he was taken off of it. I also mentioned Beanie saying Jay was getting whole songs took from people as well. I recorded about 10 minutes of audio on the Jay-Z/Jadakiss situation alone but I scrapped it because I didn't want to veer too much off of Beanie which is why I didn't want to go too in-depth with Beanie Vs Nas. I think I might repurpose the audio or at least that part of the script for a later video but in my Roc-A-Fella series, I talked about how Memphis Bleek was the bait for Nas and Jay also sent State Property at him. In some of those Jada diss tracks going towards Beanie there were some shots going at Jay because if I can remember correctly Jada said the lines "Look don't try to apologize on your two way
      Sympathy don't amuse me, go get your uzi" on the song Un-Hunh!
