Using up what’s left on your palette makes you feel a bit more less inhibited and just go with the flow and not worry so much about making a mistake (thank you )lois

I like to learn about the compositional aspects and get a better understanding of how you are distilling the image, what you changed, left out etc. Understanding your thought process from initial inspiration to finished work would be greatly helpful as would a photo if there was one.

I love using the left over paint. This one turned out awesome. I love the gloomy winter feeling. It is very gloomy and wintery here right now. Just as I said that a little bit of sun poked out.
