This is going to sound so strange without context, but thank you for making a dead wife story where the guy doesn't go on some weird vengeance/insanity arc in which they do everything their significant other would never wish for them to do. I have yearned for rational mourners and now before me I see a god given example. I thank you for this blessing.
Yep! He's doing some weird and unhealthy stuff to cope, but considering *how much* he's got on his plate, pretty understandable, he REALLY had to step up in so many ways- and mourning is hard enough as it is without having to take care of an entire family and community on your own. And yet nonetheless he's not throwing away his responsibilities, or going "screw everyone! 😡 I'm gonna do a bad thing now and if everyone else gets massively screwed bohoo idgaf" Honestly I could still see him having a pretty severe breakdown or really going through it in the story, because that's just a lot of pressure to be under when you have all this grief that you personally already have to process as it is, and are on top of everything in a position of high power- a person can only manage so many things at once but the intent really doesn't seem to be "villain arc" 🤪😈 and that I appreciate!
20:20 Apollo hiding the fact that he’s powerless so his daughters don’t have to be forced onto the battle field is just- so heartbreaking. He lost his wife, and he’s NOT about to lose his daughters too.
not to mention if the wrong people learn the true source of the powers?? They might try to abduct or manipulate them for their own reasons, to try and have the power for themselves. It's much safer for him to be a front-man for his kiddos.
Apollo getting the full brunt of nepotism from the creator to essentially become the most important and beloved character in the PRISM universe did not go unnoticed June. As a fellow nepotistic writer who loves to give my favs the power of God and anime, we love to see it!! 😂❤👍🏽
I love the episodes of "Junes straps you to a chair and info dumps about their OCs", it's clear you got so much passion for your boys and it's great to see the process towards making the cool art instead of just the cool art.
I think June really continued the trend of self indulgence they started with Apollo and I AM HERE FOR IT. Because what do you mean this is a magical girl/post apocalyptic world with creature concepts similar to Pokémon and neopets!!?? This is like all of June's creations and their interests wrapped into one huge project and I adore them for it! When I heard prism got a rework I was initially hesitant, having followed these characters since the first video. But seeing how passionate June is about this, and just how THEM the entire project screams, I can be nothing but happy about this project. I am so excited to see how it continues

there's something cute about how almost the entire cast are repurposed nostalgic characters. Apollo, Aloe, Lissy, Cynthia, and Ben were pokemon OC's, the original PRISM group were Toykyo mew mew characters, Kat's new name was taken from June's first webkinz so on. idk it's just really cute
Zombie communism is such a funny term but I do unironically love when a little community comes together to survive in an essentially post-apocalyptic setting. Dome will forever be my favourite PRISM reboot addition
So real! Also i quite enjoy how Apollo became a sort of leader that people trust because he needed to step up and help the community but he didn't want it. Idk if it will be a thing but i would assume that over the course of the story the community will have to learn to not only look up to one figure head to create solutions but that they should start engaging and helping each other so the entirety of the towns/Communitys problems are not on Apollos shoulders. Just fun learning to live in a commune things which i think could be really cool pff i love stories based on communities and people learning to live together through mutual aid
June, I’m going to say this to you, because you desperately need to hear it. Stop promising us when a video will come out, it only makes you overwhelmed, if it comes out it comes out, if it doesn’t don’t beat yourself up about it. You’re amazing and doing great!!
I love how Ben, despite no longer being in the pokemon universe, has a uniform that resembles a greninja. After all these years, he's finally evolved once more 🥲
I really hope you'll reveal the original plot line of the "classic" prism story if the story is being changed so drastically. I'm super excited for the new story but all the feelings I have towards the original plot feels unresolved now.

I love seeing Sara specifically have those cartoony and exaggerated faces because it does help me remember that, despite the fact she’s literally fighting, she’s still a kid. Also reminds me of Miko from Glitch Techs which is the best character of an awesome series
13:00 I think it'd be fun if the reason that there are more women than men as magical fighters is simply because there are magical girl shows in the Prism Universe and all those girls that wanted to become magical girls when they grew up just... actually became magical girls.

@TigerakaTila wait are the designs for the prism users predetermined by the prism they receive or are they designed seperately- of they are designed by the prism maker then ig it too would fall under impression of the person territory. So only some of the guys that aloe hates would be in the sailor moon outfits
They also used they/them pronouns when talking about Neneko and if I remember correctly Neneko used to use She/Her pronouns so that's obviously a hold over from Eimi
I am absolutely obsessed with the idea that kat somehow came off as extremely incompetent in aloe's first impression of her, so much so that she thought giving kat a prism with ANY amount of power would only be disastrous
The ‘dome’ idea reminds me of another magical girl comic, sleepless domain! It does a fantastic job at examining how taxing and dangerous being a magical girl would be while staying fairly ‘hopeful’ and not being particularly gritty, I’d highly recommend it! On another note, I know how hard it can be to reboot ocs even without the added pressure of an audience, so I commend you for that and am very, very excited to see where PRISM will take you, and get all the info on it’s next evolution!
I loved old prism a lot, but very excited to see things reworked now that Junes art and taste in storytelling has grown. Sometimes "kill your darlings" is also "fuse your darlings together so that the strongest aspects of them are still there, but with less bloat
Sometimes rewriting a story is like pruning a plant! It’s hard to cut off potential buds because you *really* want to see them bloom, but there comes a point where it’s just putting strain on the plant and needs to go.

Often it happens with people who create for themselves and don't want to let go of a character to the detriment of it, other chraracters and the story they are part of but it can also be applied to large companies (looking at you Disney with Star Wars (Hot Take: we need a canon reboot where we remove Anakin. You cannot change my mind. He has such a strong mc syndrome he hinders every other character.))

Honestly one of my favorite parts about this reboot is just how much it's become a melting pot of all the ocs you've made across your entire art journey from as early as the really sentimental webkinz, neopets, and original tokyo mew mew ripoffs, to as recent as Apollo who you fell in love with by happenstance. Seeing all of these characters be blended together as a fairly long-time viewer makes me so SO fucking happy. It is so goddamn perfect that it makes me actually want to cry, and the advice you’ve given in this video is kinda pushing me to reboot one of my own original stories after years of struggling with it, so thank you for that!!! I can’t wait to see where PRISM goes next, and I love it even more than I already did :3
I completely understand how hard it is to just reboot a story. My dearest project that has been taking over my life for SIX YEARS was just getting too complicated (it’s a space setting so no surprise there). The characters and the story outgrew the setting, it actually needed to be a space thing and not just a few planets!! So I let go of most of the characters and just agreed whit myself that my urge to make the main character a god has to be satisfied. The villain stayed but everyone else got swapped around oh so much. And it feels GREAT!!! I’m no longer bound to any sorts of rules!! It makes me so free. Heck, I made the story span YEARS. The mc grows form an angsty teen to a mother of two (I LOVE MY BABYSSS!!) and also a god :’3 So honestly, it was so SO worth it it’s crazy! It was ofc hard to let go but it was such a good choice!! (Btw, I LOVE THE UPDATE ON THE STORY OMG WE ARE SO SO SOOOO BAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!!!!)

Emi an Neno being fused makes a lot of sense with Kats close friendship with both from the original idea for the story. Im loving the uniforms and how it's so influenced by Apollo and Ben being the first fighterrrrrrr!!!!
16:50 I just had a thought about this ( mainly just symbolism around Apollo’s name) First in Greek mythology Apollo is god of the sun ( amongst many other things) So there’s that connotation Second Apollo in this story literally gave the people their sun back - he built the freaking SUN! (like a god kinda) But he is also like the sun Because just we rely on our sun to give us light, provide warmth , allow plants to grow The city RELIES on him for all these things They look up to him (I guess this could be connected to how we look at the sun) I don’t know if this connection was on purpose BUT I LIVE for this If you couldn’t I love when symbolism and details tie in together lol

Late to this but man, it feels good to see you giving yourself the freedom to change and consolidate your ideas. One of the joys of creating stuff to me is that it evolves as you work, and the way you married yourself to your first ideas to keep up a "consistent" video series was good for your viewers but no good for you!! This new era of you leaning so much into to your joy and feeling free to experiment is a delight to see and i can't wait to see how prism keeps evolving ❤
I remember when the first Prism drawing dropped. I’ve always loved this particular group of your OCs and that still holds true now - seeing them in this new form, in your evolved art style, where you’re much happier with the concept, is amazing! You inspire me to develop my own magical girl OCs further. I’m so happy that you’re still having fun with Prism. I’m so excited for the next Prism video to come out It was also you who inspired me to start drawing in my sketchbook again. For a long time I felt frustrated with my own digital art, because it felt like I was always struggling to get something finished, or execute any sort of vision. Now I’ve taken a page out of your book and started doing fun sketches traditionally, not worrying about the product but rather having fun with the process. I was initially really nervous about losing Eimi, my favourite character, when you mentioned two of the main cast merging and spent the whole video STUDYING the sketchbook to see if it really was them. To my surprise though, i was actually DELIGHTED to find out that it seems like they ARE merging, with Neneko, my OTHER favourite character!! Seriously I always loved Eimi's non binary swag and Neneko's whole chaotic vibe and if it really is those two who merge then i'm just SOO hyped to see who this new character ends up being. They both had big gremlin energy so i can totally see why merging them works, and honestly this just reinforces my trust in you to deliver a fantastic story no matter what. Like, the thing i was most worried about happening actually happened, and instead of being upset I'm EVEN MORE HYPED THAN I WAS BEFORE !!!! I'm so so excited to see where this story goes and i'm rlly glad ur having as much fun creating it as we are seeing it
I have watched this video over and over so many times now (and also old prism because even though I told myself not too I got attached) and it’s honestly helping me so much with my own world right now. I want to someday write a book on it, or maybe a book series, but it needs much more work and this video is helping me keep myself motivated on the art that’s giving me ideas for it so much. Apollo’s really out here encouraging not just June but also me to work on story shit and we love him for it.

You've been one of my favorite artist 5ever and I've always been SO SO inspired by art, but not just to draw, your art has always inspired me to get BETTER at art!! Watching this having followed June for years is really cool because of how viscerally tangibly born from all of their past interests and projects it is, I always feel like the best story's are ones that don't feel like they could have been made by anyone else and oh boy is that going to be true for Prism

first feeling was fear and dissappointment as a huge fan of the previous iteration of prism, but the more you talked about it the more and more excited I got to the point of goosebumps. i know this will be something so special with all the passion you bring to the project
The way I understand "this character took root in my brain and then hijacked himself into a project" SO HARD. I recently did that with my newest OC, and he's broken me out of a 2 year long writer's block. The power of very sad man just trying to protect what he has left is VERY real.

notices that Apollo's glasses are kind of like Elphaba's in the new Wicked movie well they've been working on this character for long enough before the movie hype really kicked off, so chalk that up to a bit of convergent evolution. *Rae explains how Apollo is revered for his magical technology but his big secret is he can't use magic himself* huh, so he's kind of like how the Wizard is presented in Wicked -HEY WAIT A SECOND! Jokes aside, I'm glad you're feeling reinspired and are still having fun with this project. I look forward to seeing how Prism evolves again in the next five years.

I've really enjoyed watching the Prism videos over the years and I'm loving the direction with the new plot/characters, especially with Apollo, his family, the magic system, and the world, and well...everything. I can't wait to see how the story evolves from here

Apollo being something of a mentor figure with a really tragic past scratches all the itches for me personally, as a lover of 2012 tmnt and ninjago. Also this just makes the inspiration for my own ideas flow more. Keep up the great work!
I really appreciate how forthcoming you've been over the years about your journey writing this story, especially this video as it seems it has come out at the perfect time for me 😅 For YEARS I have been maladaptive daydreaming about little characters in my head, mostly from other shows, but most of them have blended together so much that they're just my OCs in skinsuits at this point, and many proper original characters have spawned in at random intervals as well. For a long time I was happy to just daydream about scenarios (to music ;D) and to only draw fanart as a hobby, but the more time passes the more it's been calling to me, urging me to create. When I was a kid/teenager I thought "it would be cool, but I'd never be able to", and then the thought process shifted into "I'd like to write/draw something that's as meaningful to others as some of my favorite shows/comics/games have been for me! But could I? And I realized at the beginning of the year that if I didn't really try to structure a story then I never will. Now it's nearly the end of year, and aside from the main character, some side characters and the setting I've got NOTHING. It keeps eluding me!! I don't even know what genre I wanna write in, or anything aside from the main theme that I don't even know if I'm equipped to explore anymore! My biggest problem as an aspiring writer is that I have no idea what story I want to tell. I can create characters all day long, and when I think about other people's characters in their show's settings I can create themes and alternate plotlines like no one's business (fanfiction, my beloved). And it's not like I don't have ideas! Every time I have a cool scene in my head I've written it down, I just don't know how to connect them yet. It's so frustrating, I want to do this so badly but it's hard to pin down. I have ADHD so I only get stuck on an idea for so long before it's boring to me. Just ugh.
Sara getting a prism is such a good potential plot point for our main magical girl group finding out Apollo has no power and its instead his daughters. Also i wonder how outsiders would react to Sara getting a prism, would Apollo and the others have a story to "explain" why she has a prism?

I’m not sure if this will remain or has already been changed, but I noticed that all the characters who have prisms have been given a new look/uniform. And honestly I’m really digging the white uniform look with their prisms incorporated on it! It does look more reminiscent of a military outfit while also looking fantastical, and it looks really cool! Honestly this new setting in general is just so intriguing and feels rich with possibilities, and I’m loving it!
I've never seen any of your Prism videos before, but just this video alone has me *sold*, I would happily read a comic of this cover to cover, or watch like 20 seasons of a telly program. Insta-subscribe, can't wait to learn more, super glad I ran across this in my scrolling!
In terms of art, i used to be a lot like you with a free approach to drawing without any care for mistakes and a cracked creative output with new art and new ideas like everyday. My mind still lingers to that time, but i havent drawn like that for four, now bordering five whole years since some life changing experiences that deeply affected my art Seeing your journey and the way you are in your lusamine video, apollo video, and now this one is something i cant believe and enjoy watching over and over. Its awe inspiring, you seem to run on a pure passion for creating and it reminds me of the way things used to be and could be again I want to be like you someday, and i love watching you do what you do! It just hit me that this is definitely shaping up to be a show that I would watch and go “hold on baby, I gotta go make an oc for you” and then write fanfic inserting said oc into the story (which I’ve done. Multiple times. With multiple ocs)

And honestly....seeing how happy and passionate you've become about your projects and just creative work in general over the last few months has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to witness, so thank you for sharing that with us! I'm looking forward to seeing more of what this Prism reboot will bring, and your own openness about your thoughts and creative process, about how you're learning to embrace your mistakes and not marry yourself to your first idea, and how you're happy to share these things even if they never become a proper series just because you want these ideas to exist outside of your own head....I find that very inspiring on a personal level. I love how Apollo seemingly fixed Prism. Been interested since finding the Mew Mew manga redraw vid and loved the idea of taking self insert rip off ocs and turning them into something new. Though the old version of Prism seemed like there was a corner you backed yourself into (at least that kinda how I woulda been) by making the organization good but shady. Making Apollo the main guy for that role with his story makes it make so much sense right up front. I am a little sad at the lose of the OG Prism idea (Heck it made me go and make my own light-based magical girls where being a hero is a job) but this newer version stands out way more.
You’ve helped me improve my art so much just by making these videos! I’ve struggled with my drawings and making nothing more then a sketch and moving in to the next thing but watching you put so much care and thought has helped me by going back to a storyline I left alone for a bit and making it really cool! I’ve been so much more proud with the drawings I made, each color combo and even the lines I make I’ve become more proud of! By watching you and taking your advice has made me enjoy art like never before!! Thank you soooo very much!!!
Honestly, seeing you completely rework your story from scratch to fit with the artistic vision you've developed after a year of intense progress is some of the most inspiring stuff I've seen in a long time! Your infectious joy for creating and and willingness to roll with whatever ideas occur to you are so, so delightful to watch, even as an outsider. I've been following you since the original Prism concepts, but I feel more invested in this story now than I've ever been before. Your enthusiasm is only fueling better and more interesting concepts, and I can't wait to see where it takes your story. Some of my oldest and dearest OCs are from elementary school, but I've never done much with them because I've had no clear concept of where to take them. A full rework where I'm not married to any original concepts are kind of the exact thing I might be missing right now. Seeing an artist go through this whole process gets me pumped to try something similar! Maybe if I have the free time for it 😅😅😅

I love these videos where June just rambles about their blorbos because their enthusiasm is just so damn contagious. Not only am I now very hyped to see more of Prism (I was already interested before, but now I'm INVESTED), it also makes me want to channel that excitement forward into my own work. The temptation to make a similar video where I ramble on about my wip webcomic is so real.
This change of the old prism story is a significant change to others including me and you ofc and I am so sad to see it go 😭😭 but happy at the same time. And I know many may not like this story or many may who know but all I want you to know is that I and many others will support you, I love your videos so much and I am ecstatic to see how your favorite baby girl character and og prism story blend together to make this newer version of the prism story. ❤😆

Yep! He's doing some weird and unhealthy stuff to cope, but considering *how much* he's got on his plate, pretty understandable, he REALLY had to step up in so many ways- and mourning is hard enough as it is without having to take care of an entire family and community on your own. And yet nonetheless he's not throwing away his responsibilities, or going "screw everyone! 😡 I'm gonna do a bad thing now and if everyone else gets massively screwed bohoo idgaf" Honestly I could still see him having a pretty severe breakdown or really going through it in the story, because that's just a lot of pressure to be under when you have all this grief that you personally already have to process as it is, and are on top of everything in a position of high power- a person can only manage so many things at once but the intent really doesn't seem to be "villain arc" 🤪😈 and that I appreciate!

I love the episodes of "Junes straps you to a chair and info dumps about their OCs", it's clear you got so much passion for your boys and it's great to see the process towards making the cool art instead of just the cool art.
I think June really continued the trend of self indulgence they started with Apollo and I AM HERE FOR IT. Because what do you mean this is a magical girl/post apocalyptic world with creature concepts similar to Pokémon and neopets!!?? This is like all of June's creations and their interests wrapped into one huge project and I adore them for it! When I heard prism got a rework I was initially hesitant, having followed these characters since the first video. But seeing how passionate June is about this, and just how THEM the entire project screams, I can be nothing but happy about this project. I am so excited to see how it continues

there's something cute about how almost the entire cast are repurposed nostalgic characters. Apollo, Aloe, Lissy, Cynthia, and Ben were pokemon OC's, the original PRISM group were Toykyo mew mew characters, Kat's new name was taken from June's first webkinz so on. idk it's just really cute
Zombie communism is such a funny term but I do unironically love when a little community comes together to survive in an essentially post-apocalyptic setting. Dome will forever be my favourite PRISM reboot addition

So real! Also i quite enjoy how Apollo became a sort of leader that people trust because he needed to step up and help the community but he didn't want it. Idk if it will be a thing but i would assume that over the course of the story the community will have to learn to not only look up to one figure head to create solutions but that they should start engaging and helping each other so the entirety of the towns/Communitys problems are not on Apollos shoulders. Just fun learning to live in a commune things which i think could be really cool pff i love stories based on communities and people learning to live together through mutual aid

They also used they/them pronouns when talking about Neneko and if I remember correctly Neneko used to use She/Her pronouns so that's obviously a hold over from Eimi

The ‘dome’ idea reminds me of another magical girl comic, sleepless domain! It does a fantastic job at examining how taxing and dangerous being a magical girl would be while staying fairly ‘hopeful’ and not being particularly gritty, I’d highly recommend it!
On another note, I know how hard it can be to reboot ocs even without the added pressure of an audience, so I commend you for that and am very, very excited to see where PRISM will take you, and get all the info on it’s next evolution!

I loved old prism a lot, but very excited to see things reworked now that Junes art and taste in storytelling has grown.
Sometimes "kill your darlings" is also "fuse your darlings together so that the strongest aspects of them are still there, but with less bloat
Sometimes rewriting a story is like pruning a plant! It’s hard to cut off potential buds because you *really* want to see them bloom, but there comes a point where it’s just putting strain on the plant and needs to go.
What does "kill your darlings" mean? I know I've heard it somewhere, but forgot what it means

Often it happens with people who create for themselves and don't want to let go of a character to the detriment of it, other chraracters and the story they are part of but it can also be applied to large companies (looking at you Disney with Star Wars (Hot Take: we need a canon reboot where we remove Anakin. You cannot change my mind. He has such a strong mc syndrome he hinders every other character.))

Honestly one of my favorite parts about this reboot is just how much it's become a melting pot of all the ocs you've made across your entire art journey from as early as the really sentimental webkinz, neopets, and original tokyo mew mew ripoffs, to as recent as Apollo who you fell in love with by happenstance. Seeing all of these characters be blended together as a fairly long-time viewer makes me so SO fucking happy. It is so goddamn perfect that it makes me actually want to cry, and the advice you’ve given in this video is kinda pushing me to reboot one of my own original stories after years of struggling with it, so thank you for that!!! I can’t wait to see where PRISM goes next, and I love it even more than I already did :3
I completely understand how hard it is to just reboot a story. My dearest project that has been taking over my life for SIX YEARS was just getting too complicated (it’s a space setting so no surprise there). The characters and the story outgrew the setting, it actually needed to be a space thing and not just a few planets!! So I let go of most of the characters and just agreed whit myself that my urge to make the main character a god has to be satisfied. The villain stayed but everyone else got swapped around oh so much. And it feels GREAT!!! I’m no longer bound to any sorts of rules!! It makes me so free. Heck, I made the story span YEARS. The mc grows form an angsty teen to a mother of two (I LOVE MY BABYSSS!!) and also a god :’3 So honestly, it was so SO worth it it’s crazy! It was ofc hard to let go but it was such a good choice!!

I just had a thought about this ( mainly just symbolism around Apollo’s name)
First in Greek mythology Apollo is god of the sun ( amongst many other things)
So there’s that connotation
Second Apollo in this story literally gave the people their sun back - he built the freaking SUN! (like a god kinda)
But he is also like the sun
Because just we rely on our sun to give us light, provide warmth , allow plants to grow
The city RELIES on him for all these things
They look up to him (I guess this could be connected to how we look at the sun)
I don’t know if this connection was on purpose BUT I LIVE for this

Late to this but man, it feels good to see you giving yourself the freedom to change and consolidate your ideas. One of the joys of creating stuff to me is that it evolves as you work, and the way you married yourself to your first ideas to keep up a "consistent" video series was good for your viewers but no good for you!! I was initially really nervous about losing Eimi, my favourite character, when you mentioned two of the main cast merging and spent the whole video STUDYING the sketchbook to see if it really was them. To my surprise though, i was actually DELIGHTED to find out that it seems like they ARE merging, with Neneko, my OTHER favourite character!! Seriously I always loved Eimi's non binary swag and Neneko's whole chaotic vibe and if it really is those two who merge then i'm just SOO hyped to see who this new character ends up being. They both had big gremlin energy so i can totally see why merging them works, and honestly this just reinforces my trust in you to deliver a fantastic story no matter what. Like, the thing i was most worried about happening actually happened, and instead of being upset I'm EVEN MORE HYPED THAN I WAS BEFORE !!!! I'm so so excited to see where this story goes and i'm rlly glad ur having as much fun creating it as we are seeing it

I really appreciate how forthcoming you've been over the years about your journey writing this story, especially this video as it seems it has come out at the perfect time for me 😅
For YEARS I have been maladaptive daydreaming about little characters in my head, mostly from other shows, but most of them have blended together so much that they're just my OCs in skinsuits at this point, and many proper original characters have spawned in at random intervals as well. For a long time I was happy to just daydream about scenarios (to music ;D) and to only draw fanart as a hobby, but the more time passes the more it's been calling to me, urging me to create.
When I was a kid/teenager I thought "it would be cool, but I'd never be able to", and then the thought process shifted into "I'd like to write/draw something that's as meaningful to others as some of my favorite shows/comics/games have been for me! But could I?
And I realized at the beginning of the year that if I didn't really try to structure a story then I never will. Now it's nearly the end of year, and aside from the main character, some side characters and the setting I've got NOTHING. It keeps eluding me!! I don't even know what genre I wanna write in, or anything aside from the main theme that I don't even know if I'm equipped to explore anymore!
My biggest problem as an aspiring writer is that I have no idea what story I want to tell. I can create characters all day long, and when I think about other people's characters in their show's settings I can create themes and alternate plotlines like no one's business (fanfiction, my beloved). And it's not like I don't have ideas! Every time I have a cool scene in my head I've written it down, I just don't know how to connect them yet.
It's so frustrating, I want to do this so badly but it's hard to pin down. I have ADHD so I only get stuck on an idea for so long before it's boring to me. Just ugh.
Sara getting a prism is such a good potential plot point for our main magical girl group finding out Apollo has no power and its instead his daughters. Also i wonder how outsiders would react to Sara getting a prism, would Apollo and the others have a story to "explain" why she has a prism?

I’m not sure if this will remain or has already been changed, but I noticed that all the characters who have prisms have been given a new look/uniform. And honestly I’m really digging the white uniform look with their prisms incorporated on it! It does look more reminiscent of a military outfit while also looking fantastical, and it looks really cool!
Honestly this new setting in general is just so intriguing and feels rich with possibilities, and I’m loving it!

In terms of art, i used to be a lot like you with a free approach to drawing without any care for mistakes and a cracked creative output with new art and new ideas like everyday. My mind still lingers to that time, but i havent drawn like that for four, now bordering five whole years since some life changing experiences that deeply affected my art
Seeing your journey and the way you are in your lusamine video, apollo video, and now this one is something i cant believe and enjoy watching over and over. Its awe inspiring, you seem to run on a pure passion for creating and it reminds me of the way things used to be and could be again

It just hit me that this is definitely shaping up to be a show that I would watch and go “hold on baby, I gotta go make an oc for you” and then write fanfic inserting said oc into the story (which I’ve done. Multiple times. With multiple ocs)

Same here! I've been a fan ever since her animation meme days, so it'll be fun to see what she has in store! I loved seeing her grow as an artist and strive to be like her one day! Can't wait to see what see has to offer in the future!

I've never seen your videos before but as someone who has a very deeply crafted and loved OC world and storyline of 4+ years this has really inspired to me to try and stay more open in my creative process. I think I often forget that it's ok to like a design one day but want something else the next😅
I found your videos some time ago thanks to some of your collabs with other RUclipsrs, and I can remember seeing some of your earlier works for Prism and other things. And honestly....seeing how happy and passionate you've become about your projects and just creative work in general over the last few months has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to witness, so thank you for sharing that with us! I'm looking forward to seeing more of what this Prism reboot will bring, and your own openness about your thoughts and creative process, about how you're learning to embrace your mistakes and not marry yourself to your first idea, and how you're happy to share these things even if they never become a proper series just because you want these ideas to exist outside of your own head....I find that very inspiring on a personal level. I love how Apollo seemingly fixed Prism. Been interested since finding the Mew Mew manga redraw vid and loved the idea of taking self insert rip off ocs and turning them into something new. Though the old version of Prism seemed like there was a corner you backed yourself into (at least that kinda how I woulda been) by making the organization good but shady. Making Apollo the main guy for that role with his story makes it make so much sense right up front. I am a little sad at the lose of the OG Prism idea (Heck it made me go and make my own light-based magical girls where being a hero is a job) but this newer version stands out way more.

I’ve struggled with my drawings and making nothing more then a sketch and moving in to the next thing but watching you put so much care and thought has helped me by going back to a storyline I left alone for a bit and making it really cool! I’ve been so much more proud with the drawings I made, each color combo and even the lines I make I’ve become more proud of! By watching you and taking your advice has made me enjoy art like never before!! Thank you soooo very much!!!
Honestly, seeing you completely rework your story from scratch to fit with the artistic vision you've developed after a year of intense progress is some of the most inspiring stuff I've seen in a long time! Your infectious joy for creating and and willingness to roll with whatever ideas occur to you are so, so delightful to watch, even as an outsider.
I've been following you since the original Prism concepts, but I feel more invested in this story now than I've ever been before. Your enthusiasm is only fueling better and more interesting concepts, and I can't wait to see where it takes your story.
Some of my oldest and dearest OCs are from elementary school, but I've never done much with them because I've had no clear concept of where to take them. A full rework where I'm not married to any original concepts are kind of the exact thing I might be missing right now. Seeing an artist go through this whole process gets me pumped to try something similar!

I love these videos where June just rambles about their blorbos because their enthusiasm is just so damn contagious. Not only am I now very hyped to see more of Prism (I was already interested before, but now I'm INVESTED), it also makes me want to channel that excitement forward into my own work. The temptation to make a similar video where I ramble on about my wip webcomic is so real.
I love how there's a mix of June's old and new artstyles, showing how they've grown and changed through their art journey.
This change of the old prism story is a significant change to others including me and you ofc and I am so sad to see it go 😭😭 but happy at the same time. And I know many may not like this story or many may who know but all I want you to know is that I and many others will support you, I love your videos so much and I am ecstatic to see how your favorite baby girl character and og prism story blend together to make this newer version of the prism story. ❤😆
