    When you take it apart to clean it after you remove the bolt do NOT pull the trigger or you won’t be able to slide the bolt back in. Best to put the safety on so you don’t do it by accident.

    I hear people complain about where the extra mags are. I don’t think they meant it for tactical use just storage. Belt line will always be fastest spot for speed.

    From watching videos, disassembly looked complicated till I did it a couple times. Turns out actually simpler and easier than my Ruger PC 9 carbine.

      I concur. The hardest part for me is taking off the butt stock.

      @grizzlystiks 11 месяцев назад +2

      With the FPC unloaded, place the butt stock on a flat surface then press down on the weapon at the same time pull out on the retention knob on the butt stock. What you are doing is compressing the internal spring to take the tension off.

    On your gun, put the red dot about 4 inches down the rail. I also have iron sights installed behind the red dot and near the end of the barrel. My red dot easily comes off to utilize the iron sights. I actually like the iron sights better than the optic. It's very accurate and a hell of a lot of fun to shoot!

    great review, I'm wanting this firearm more and more. love the Concealment of it and just being able to throw it in my bag and go to the range. I don't live in Rural america, so I think this gun would be great for me.

    The grip is the same size as the M&P compact. That’s the reason for the spacers and the shorter grip. They wanted you to be able to use any 9mm double stack mags that are available. So you can use the 15 round mags with no need for a spacer or the 17 and 23 with the spacer. The spacer is used with the compact as well to help make sure you don’t over insert the magazine. If you use the 17 and 23 round mags without the spacer make sure the bolt is home so you don’t damage the rifle when they are inserted.s

    Trigger does have a nice crisp break at the wall, it may lighten up with use. I couldn't charge mine from one side when I first got it, but it loosened up after some use. I put a Sig Romeo 5 on mine and it shoots great. The release for the spare mags is a little wonky, but I find that carrying 46 rounds back there puts the gun off balance, I will carry them in a mag pouch and store them om the gun. The slide release is almost impossible to use, so I would have to call it a slide stop only, no big deal just charge with the charging handle.

    Waited 60 days for mine to be in stock, but I got it for $599. I think the MSRP on it was $659, but my local dealer sells to be below list cause I deal with her exclusively for almost everything except ammo. Operation is smooth and easy and it's fun to shoot.

    @4:47 your the first person I see that figured out how to remove the mag using the same lever it’s located on. all the other reviews I’ve seen everyone complains about how you have to push the opposite button of the mag you’re trying to use, they make it seem like it’s such a big hassle

    Mine has worked great. The buttstock you mentioned is not obstructive at all. Remember that the FPC is not a combat rifle. Its for holding off hoards of ravaging pinecones. Your Sint isn't a combat carbine either. I think S&W has "hit it out of the park" with the FPC. (And BTW, your Saint looks very COD compliant). And the bolt release is a compliance matter not a practical concern.

    When it comes to accuracy it is the part in front of the hinge. That's where the sighting systems are located and that's where it shoots. 😎 Awesome gun.

    Did not have a problem in disassembly, what I hate is the mags in the stock, fiddling with a button to release a mag is stupid. Shoots great have added a red dot, iron sights, vertical grip, and a sling so far.

    I want to like it enough to get one, but I’m concerned about all the polymer. The hinge, the rail, etc. It’s a lot of plastic. That being said, I love my Ruger PC. I know it’s a takedown, but it goes together quick and the connect point is steel and solid.
