One of the few reviews to show takedown and reassembly, thanks!
Absolutely, I do breakdowns with all gun reviews 👍🏻
Agree!! We bought the M&P FPC for a surprise birthday gift to our grandson. I have viewed so many videos and this is the ONLY video I have seen that thoroughly explains takedown and reassembly. We are in Comifornia, so have the ridiculous fin attached to the grip - pray with us that the assault weapon ban is abolished soon so we can take that off.
“Reliable, fun, and accurate.” Your review is why I am sold. Checked it out at my local gun range/store and will pick mine up next week. Other online reviewers complain and harp on the fact that the “storage” for the mags are a big negative and not quick & easy to retrieve the mags…but I guess they expect this for serious everyday “combat” and not storage.
Glad to hear it man. Thank you for your support!
What do they want, egg in their beer?
@@johnm2366I’ve realized everyone wishes they were in every development & design meeting. Can’t please everybody…I’ve actually picked up the S&W Response instead a few weeks ago and really enjoy it.
Love love love new options in the 9mm folding rifle segment
Everyone hates on the mag release setup but I 10/10 love how they set it up. Love my FPC
Yes, I agree. Everyone always complains about the magazine release as if it's something that requires a degree.. They almost sound like crybabies, but it's the simplest thing. It is simply the push of a button, but people complain because you have to push the left to take out the right. And i'm like jesus christ, why is that so complicated. I'm glad these kids didn't grew up in the 70s. And eighties, when we actually had to get up from our butts to change the tv channels😅😅😅
This shoots really tight groups was very impressive and he a I own one
Got mine a couple months ago and had to send it back to S&W for light to no primer strikes. But after getting it back (bolt was replaced.) ,it's run flawlessly. It's now my new PDW.
That is unfortunate to send it back but I'm glad to hear you are now experiencing what I am with it. 2A all day my man, enjoy!
Got mine a week ago, first range time this week. Thoroughly impressed, accurate and fun to shoot. I’m in love.
Glad to hear it!
Fabulous little gun.
Thanks for the review
You covered everything! Thanks
Very cool. Great video
Great review.
Most awesome and fun gun 🙂
Excellent Thanks Clear and concise.
Glad you enjoyed it
Best breakdown yet, thank you.
No problem, thanks for watching
The straps inside the bag don’t go in a specific place. You could move them around anywhere you see fit.
I can’t seem to find a video on how to get the feed ram out for polishing. I’m sure I could figure it out. I just wanna see someone do it first, but nobody does it. Everyone just does a regular field disassembly.
Dude, the magazine releases go both directions. It’s ambidextrous. whether you’re left-handed or right handed you could push down or pull up on the same side. This way, no matter which way you grab it, you can reach either side. Genius.
Yes but still not ideal for fast reloading
Well done video. Other videos that I watched showed the bolt going back in rather easily. Like you, I had to use the back end of a screwdriver. I'm glad to see that it's not just my FPC that has this issue.
Thank you for your support, happy to it
Mine was the same, getting it out needed a little negotiation. After 500 rounds it comes out easier but still likes a nudge back into battery.
you can avoid tapping it with a hammer to put the bolt back in place. What's retain the bolt to seat fully foward is the top of the hammer that is in the way and stop the bolt. I found the best way is to put your pinky finger into the ejection port, push down on your hammer a bit while pusing on your bolt from the rear and the bolt will seat with absolutly no force. Just need a bit of torque into your pinky!
let me know if that work for you!
I just use a punch to press it down.
That worked for me perfectly! Thanks!
I find putting my little finger under and lifting up gets the 23 round magazine off the same side.
What is the position of the trigger during disassembling? Thanks!
Should be in the cocked position
I'm between this and the Ruger PCC - nice thing about this is it's a bit cheaper and comes with the picatinny rails all the way across the top.
Also cleaning on this looks WAY easier than the ruger. Both excellent guns, but I'm leaning towards this.
My only question is how does the folding out clip/mechanism feel? Do you feel like after a few years it'll wear out and it'll just slide open? Or is it pretty durable?
That is my thought as well, but this thing is so well made I don't see it being an issue. The only thing I think that will need replacing is the charging handle since it's plastic/polymer and a little notch clicks into the mlok slot to keep it folded open. Cheap part to replace though.
I have a pc9. Its trash. Im picking one of these up today from my local Cabellas.
Glad to hear it. Check out the link for PSA, might get a better deal
Looks an awful lot like Ontario… where are you guys?
South Carolina
At the end of the dissasembly for field stripping, I reached for my FPC and accidentally dry fired the gun. Now, after assembly when I pull the charging handle the gun won't reset and the trigger wont fire. Is this something I can remedy myself?
Thank you!!
Yes you need to disassemble again and reset the trigger
I saw on a different site a guy did the same thing and ended up sending it back to SW to be fixed. He stated he read in the directions this is a big no-no (pulling the trigger while disassembled) and can cause damage.
You can reset the trigger with your little finger, or a non-metal object like a magic marker, or a dowel. I did this to mine on purpose to see how difficult it was to reset. No big deal. Sending it in SW is going waaay overboard.
Hey on the video it looks like its being shot left handed 1:45 minutes into the video, Is it?
It isn't just the way the camera flips when on self screen.
What kind of scope yr using ? 18:24

Should have got a KelTec
No way
And yet here you are on an SW video

I appreciate the narrow thinness of the Sub2000, even the gen 3 which wasn’t out at the time of your comment.
The on board magazine storage was one of the reasons I got one of these over the Sub2000.
I have a gen 1 Sub 2000, and I was very close to getting the gen 3.
While it’s more concealable, this is the better “rifle”.
Rifle accuracy testing should be done at a further distance that 40 yards. I would've tested at atleast 75 yards. I know it's not an AR 15 but shooting a 9mm round at 75 yards with accuracy is possible. Good video. Thanks for the review and breakdown.
Noted. I have since moved ranges as it did not allow that distance. Now I have over 500+ yards 😁
On mine, at 45 feet it cuts a single hole with a Holosun 510C. At 100 yards it hits the 8 inch gong so...
I want one !
