- In this Field Strip video I show how to disassemble and reassemble a Smith & Wesson M&P FPC. This is a similar firearm to the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 but it has a unique way to come apart and I felt was worthy of a video. I hope this helps someone in the future.

Thank you. I appreciate the detailed instructions, lubrication tips and wonderful camera work. It was easy to see the demonstrated steps.
Thank you very much! I am glad it helped!
I actually work at smith and Wesson on the fpc assembly line, this is an amazing video. The only advice I have is when u go to pull the latch on the stock to remove it, it’ll be easier to stand the gun up and pull down on the handle so you slightly compress the big spring in the stock. Once that’s done it’ll alleviate some of the pressure making it easier to pull that latch out. Other than that this was an amazing video
Thank you for this very kind comment. It means a lot to me.
Thanks for the nice video. Very clear. I just purchased one of these guns and I have now saved this video so that I can watch it again when I’m ready to take the gun apart for cleaning. Thanks again.
You are very welcome and I am glad I could help!
Great video field strip demo and explanation speed really appreciate it.
You are very welcome and I am glad I could help!
Super video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Good morning, Jason, after watching the strip down of the unit, it quite clear to me why it's built the way it is. I am a bit in love with the gun. And if I was in your world, I would own two, with ten magazines each. Cheers
I wish you could own one Andrew!
Thank you! I will be buying one of these in the next few days, and the first thing I do with any new gun, is field strip, clean and oil it.
I am glad I was able to help!
Great video. Love the gun and the tear down
I am so glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful.
Clear, concise, straight to the point! Excellent tutorial video on field stripping this weapon. Wish they were all this good.
I am so glad you found it useful.
Definitely helped me out. Thank you my good man.
Glad I could help
WELL DONE! THX
You are very welcome
Very informative and great video, Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the field striping video. I was on the fence about buying the FPC because I heard a lot of negative reviews about how difficult it was and clean. After watching your video,I’m ready to purchase one.
I am so glad I was able to help!
If you are interested in a PCC, you NEED to purchase this one.
Shortcomings (already covered in the plethora of videos out there) are minor, recoil is nominal, it’s a friggin laser of a shooter and you can’t beat the cost.
The one negative not mentioned in any video I’ve seen is that powder blowback is significant. Keep your mouth shut and head as far back on the butt as comfortably possible
Thanks for this clear instructional video and for making it easy to see what you’re doing. I just bought this gun recently, wasn’t expecting the disassembly to be quite so involved, but thanks to your video I’m good 🙌
I am so glad I was able to help.
Nice job thanks! Just purchased this gun and that was a helpful video!
I am so glad I could help!
Great job. Just got mine and put some rounds through it today. Functioned absolutely perfect. Doesn’t look too bad to disassemble, wish me luck. LOL.
I hope you enjoy it and congrats on your new gun!
Watching this makes me appreciate Eugene Stoner even more.
Yes it does!
I worked with Stoner in Vero Beach Florida
Much apprecaited!
You are very welcome!
Just took it to the range for the first time. What a fun folder it is!
Very good video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
I will be watching more of your videos
Thank you.
You are very welcome!
Thank you from the future
You are very welcome!
Great video. I am now a subscibers
Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy my other videos.
Appreciate the video. I’ve seen people slamming it on the table and using a dowel to seat the bolt. Glad to see that is not necessarily needed.
FYI- that wasn’t a proper function test. Just saying.
Glad it helped.
Great video ,that didn't look difficult at all , unless you made it look real easy lol
I am glad you found it helpful.
Great video I just bought this gun an hour ago.
Congratulations!
The pin isn't tough to pull out to remove the butt stock if you push in first on the butt stock to relieve the pressure on that pin. Makes it super easy to pull out.
Thanks for the information.
Great video! The stoppage point is just due to the hammer being hit from the rear.
Has anyone tried the Taccom parts for this rifle?
Thank you. I am glad the video helped.
Thank you. What type of sights are you running? Thanks again.
Those are Magpuls.
@@thetexasgunvault THANK YOU SIR
Have you noticed any hammer marks on the bolt of the FPC? Will it need replacement? Thanks!
I have not, but honestly I haven't looked.
Is the trigger for the M&P pistol the same for the FPC?
Can I upgrade the fpc trigger?
Yes and yes.
It is a cool one
Yes it is.
I field stripped one of these the other day and the hammer didn’t allow bolt the be installed. Is there something I need to be aware of to keep the hammer locked back? I eventually got the hammer locked back with a cleaning rod and function checked ok.
I am not sure. I am sorry you had that issue. These are just tricky guns to work with.
@@thetexasgunvault thank you. They are tricky.
thanks for sharing, my new FPC thanks you :) I just used the take down tool stored in the handle to remove the bolt pin instead of a screwdriver :)
also who is pounding their FPC on tables lol, I just stuck my thumb in and gave a little "bump" and it went right past the stop XD maybe their thumbs dont fit or something >_>
Lol, I am glad I could help!
While performing the initial cleaning yesterday, the firing pin retaining pin fell out. I wasn't expecting that. Anyone else have that happen? There should be tighter tolerances that require the pin to be pushed out, not just fall out.
I do agree. This is a good gun, but still a little cheaply made.
Once it is in, the tube holds it in place. That is not a problem when it is assembled.
What brand of flip up sights are those?
Magpul MBUIS in FDE
I'm kinda new ,and I don't understand why some think this is that difficult ,or is their more to the video that I didn't see
I just try to show people how I do it.
Now compare this field strip to that of Beretta CX4.
I should.
HELP!!!!! Just striped and cleaned now it won’t click when I pull the trigger
Is the bolt in battery?
I got it. Do not squeeze the trigger when field stripping. The hammer gets dropped and it has to be reset all the way back before the bolt goes in
The bolt will go into battery fully with the hammer in front of it which is why I couldn’t figure out why the mag wouldn’t go in or trigger reset
I am so glad you got it figured out!
@@dsolo3250 So, push the hammer back to the cocked position with your finger through the ejection port or use a screwdriver to do the same and the bolt can then slide into battery. A common happenstance. Put the safety on to keep the trigger from dropping the hammer while disassembling.
great video ..thank you !
You are welcome!
