I built several custom rifles from cheap beat up pre-64's back in the 90's. One of them was a 270 made in 1949. Original barrel was capable of cloverleafs at 200 yds off a bench. Wish I still had that rifle. Push the rounds down unto the mag well; they then feed smoothly. And these rifles are capable of smoothly cycling empty brass from the magazine with the rifle upside down.

A fine rifle, take it out of the stock, clean and lightly oil with preservative, seal the stock if needed, assemble and torque front and rear action screws to 35 inch pounds, the middle screw just snugged, the barrel bedding screw in the forearm 5 to 8 inch pounds, load some h4350 and some 140 berger hunting vlds touching the lands...

Looking at one of these for a good price. Trying to justify delving into 10mm. Need a PCC in 10 for it to make sense. Ruger apparently has that option now.

I have the G3 and have never had any problems. The manufacturer said to clean it when unboxing. You did not do that so how can your review even be considered a review? All manufacturer's tell you to clean it out the box for a reason.

Had you no knowledge at that time of mauser actions and how they worked. You seemed to be some kind of a gun guy by your shop, but IDK !!

The pitting in the bore is caused from not running a patch down the barrel after hunting in the rain.

I have a 1959 pre 64 264 win mag that has the exact same butt plate / pad on it. I believe it is factory and it would make it a westerner! Put your crosshairs just on the bottom of the bullseye to get a group when the crosshairs cover the Bull.

If the manual is important maybe you should read it before shooting a video. Th9 has a versatile safety decocker. Great function but bad placement.

I bought one months ago, still in the box . I read the manual but yet shot it . I paid 540$ for mine , and two 20 round mags came with mine. Everyone has said the same as you about this pistol, so I already have great confidence in it. Hell..... may go buy another Canik before I even fire this one. Excellent video! Were the magazines quite hard and rigid when new? I’m having a very tough time in loading the 9mm rounds and also dummy rounds in them.

Does that have the bushingless bull barrel that you're supposed to use the Mickey Mouse paperclip contraption to take apart? I've always wanted to know what happens if you don't use the paperclip, but I've never been able to get a straight answer. Most 1911s don't have a captive recoil spring, and the paperclip seems like a superfluous way to deal with a few extra pounds of spring pressure.

Mine came that oiled , too. Even after thorough cleaning it oozed oil during the first 100 rds. 😂 Love this gun, shoots like a dream out of the box.

There's 3 types of bolts for the model 70. Controlled feed, push feed, And push feed with extractor

That's a controlled feed. It's supposed to pick the shell up from the magazine. By loading a single e you're trying to close the bolt extractor over the case

Haven't been able to shoot mine too much yet but I've seen it shot of by many many youtubers and I have yet to see one malfunction

Stop anticipating the shot bro, i see you're jerking., that is why you hardly hit the target. Just aim and squeeze, let the gun do the firing and recoil stuff. Don't anticipate. God Bless bro.

The "double click" is because there are two re-engagements of the trigger assembly. One is engaging the firing pin/hammer block and the other engages the hammer sear. It is likely a sample to sample issue as to how audible, or how close together they are. Think of the audible/physical clicks you hear on an original design single action (Colt 1873) vs the newer design with a transfer bar (Ruger Vaquero) where you have an additional click. Like everything else about a firearm, it is muscle memory - release the trigger x amount and squeeze again - imprint. Also.. (and not targeted towards you directly).. Stop using shit ammo to review firearms. Big brand for breakin, then see if it will run shit ammo. At the very least change to different brand ammo before assessing functionality/reliability.. You have a nice place to shoot btw.
